we brought 2 cases of budweiser in cans, a 6 pack of sierra pale and a 6 pack of woodchuck cider for the ladies, both in glass at the bottom of the cooler

I've been reading all the post and agree. Although I didnt know that Delerium comes in a can, does it have the pink elephants on it too? I want one!
Anyway I was trying to think of this really awesome beer that comes in cans that we got at our local liquer store which carries over 800 different kinds of beers and I realized that maybe it wouldn't help very many people because you can't just walk into any store and get it.
I know local supermarkets carry boddingtons, guiness, heiniken etc in a can
So I thought why not go the other way. Especially if your trying to keep things chilled for a few days with limited ice supply.
My suggestions is to buy beer outside of Tenn. If you have better beer laws. The Tenn beer laws are weird. and if anyone can shed some light on this let me know.
I think they have a limit as to what alcohol content can be sold in grocery stores.
Steel Reserve is cheap and high alcohol content 8.1 in cans here. but in Tenn I could only find 6 percent cans in the stores.
The reason cheap beers make for good walking beers (to centeroo), and extra stash beers is because... well, they are cheap and second, if your walk to centeroo is 30 mins and you are taking a beer along you won't mind ditching a cheap beer, or maybe accidentally dropping it, or it getting to warm.
I suggest stashing your beer cooler with a variety of beers. Your favorite more expensive beers and a cheaper variety you wouldn't mind sharing with friends, or risking getting warm.
Also Wine in a box, or your favorite wine stored in a nalgene bottle. with the lid screwed on tightly it does fine. Same goes for liquer. You can store liquer in tighltly secured plastic bottles. I love nalgene for water and for liquer and wine.
Tennessee law (after extensive searching at 198.187.128.12/tennessee/lpext.dll?f=templates&fn=fs-main.htm&2.0) states that you may traffic beer containing 5% or less alcohol, but a store may not sell it unless they are fit to sell wine. A store that can sell wine is then entrusted to sell high alcohol content (5.1% and over) beers.
So, you might have a rough time finding some stuff if you wait to get it outside of the festival.. You can traffic weaker beers, but higher ones could get you in trouble.
There is a lot to read on there, if somebody has the time to break it all down.

I love me some Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Enough that I've tracked down their area sales rep for Tennessee and confirmed that it will again be available at Bonnaroo this year. Happiness through hoppiness.

It's a joke people have used for years. I doubt anyone was seriously comparing the two.
That said, of all the warm beers I've drank (probably at least 20 varieties - we did some really stupid stuff in college due to being tight on funds and gluttons for punishment), Bud/Miller/Coors are the closest to actual urine. The light versions of those beers are closer to water, IMO.
Hey, bsrome, do you know John Cole? I'm trying to catch you on whatever threads you've been posting on, so you might see this question more than once. He's a dear friend of mine from Gadsden, I know it's a pretty small town. I have some other really good friends from Atallah. Just wondering (and I know this has nothing to do with beer).
Nah, I know where he is, he's down in Jacksonville with the rest of our friends, and they're all waiting for me to move back down so we can start taking over the world. I was just curious.
He went to Gadsden High, was friends with (I can't remember any of their last names!) this dude Chuck (who's marrying a girl named Angel soon), Chris (who was known as Swiggles), and a guy name Ben who used to have really long hair and last I checked was dating a girl named Summer.
He used to hang down at Antonelli's, and I went there with him once (he's 23, by the way). I was just curious if you knew him, I used to head out to Gadsden every now and then when I just really had to get out of Knoxville. I'd get there, buy a few cases of beer and those cheap single burritos and turn my phone off.

Alot of their beers are named after disasters i.e. Burning River pale ale, Edmund Fitzgerald porter, and Cleveland Brown Ale.
Yup, it was mentioned in a favorite beer thread. As i said there, im a fan of the Dortmunder, which is saying a lot since i usually dont like lagers. The Holy Moses is my favorite of theirs though.
I've only seen it in bottles...I've never actually seen one of their beers in a can, but I could see the Dead Guy being in one...it could look like the barrel or something.
The Shakespeare Stout is another hellafied Rogue favorite.
