Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Well, I'm going to echo that there are a lot of beer threads to browse from last year.
Another suggestion is if you have a local brew pub that serves up Growlers..... If you are driving (DON'T FLY WITH ONE) and keep it cold it will keep fine and be a welcome addition to your camp site.
Also, the larger "mini kegs" are cans. You can get them in quite a few flavors and they easily fit in coolers. Again, you need to be driving - or meeting up with people who are driving.
We brought our selection of 'select' beers in at the bottom of our cooler and nothing was taken since the first few layers were ice and cans. (FYI - I was the only one in the vehicle anywhere near 21, and I'm just saying that because there always seems to be a lot of question about people who are close to 21 and want to drink...)
Anyone ever tried Saint Arnolds? It's a local microbrewery here in houston. They make seasonal beer that is quite good....maybe because it's sp fresh?... They make all kinds....I'm drinking a nice wheat ale right now...
i thought they did close down the beer at a certain time. we watched a dude get into a closed beer station and steal a giant cooler full of alot of beer. he draged it about 50 feet away and then sat down and started yelling "free beer' it was great. so i know they shut down atleast some of them in centeroo. i think they still have to follow state laws regarding alcohol sales. im not sure what the law is there. around here the bars have to stop serving at 230 am.

I could be wrong but, I was under the impression that Bonnaroo didn't have to adhere to local alchohol laws. It's on private land and technicaly qualifies as a private party, I believe.
In some states you can apply for a once-a-year exception to the established cutoff time. In New York bars seem to split pretty evenly between New Year's Eve and St Patty's Day (observed). Tenn may have a similar policy.
Personally, I've never tested the policy because if I've been drinking I'm already too far gone by cutoff time!

Yuengling (wish i could get it in Chicago!)
Can't get Yuengling in Iowa either. A buddy always brings back cases from PA when he goes, and it's great. Anybody know if they have it in western KY or TN so we could stock the cooler on the way?
I'm rather sure they would have it in TN-- it's a pretty popular beer here, and I'm about 1.5/2 hours south of the Tennessee border.
At worst, let me know ahead of time and I'll bring some up for ya. It's bottled, so the Roo security won't be a big fan, but we brought some last year and got it in without any problems.

Just thought of this: I know that the vendors in Centeroo don't abide by the "no beer before noon on Sunday" law in Tennessee.

ya im not sure to tell you the truth. i know that some of them closed in centeroo because i witnessed that incident. but others could have remained open. and that happened at dumpstaphunk after grab. so its possible they shut some of them down that late but some are 24. i always quit drinking alcohol and start drinking mass amounts of water around dark. too much alcohol can kill your latenight. and your afternoon the next day.

Boddingtons comes in cans. It's lighter than Guiness but just as good. (Sorry if someone has already mentioned this I didn't read all 6 pages of the thread.)
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."
I'll probably bring some of my favorite canadian beer in the oil can, Foster's®. I'm also planning on bringing a case of southpaw, don't know what it is about it but that stuff gets me drunk. I may bring some Asahi tallboys too even tho I just found out that its made in canada also. Go figure.

Leinenkugel's is probably the best way to go for cans in the Midwest, at least. They started out as a microbrew but got bought out by Miller so they have a wider distribution. Plus they sell a fairly good variety in cans and it's about as delicious as a canned Miller product gets.

I've never seen Leines in cans. Where are you that you get it in cans? Cause that would be great.
I'm in Madison and they've got six, twelve and 24 packs of regular and light as well as 12 packs of Berry Weiss in cans. For awhile there was Honey Weiss in cans too, but that seems to have cleared up, here at least.
Yuengling is not available in TN (or GA for that matter) Below is the list of states they distribute:
NY, PA, DE, MD, DC, NC, SC, AL, and FL. They just skipped right over GA, b@stards!
Don't forget about Sapporo. It is much better suited for a summer beer than some of the darker stuff mentioned above. The heavy can may help keep it cold too. You could probably built a heck of shelter out of those things too.
"Stealing? How could you?! Haven’t you learned anything from that guy who gives those sermons at church? Captain What’s-his-name? We live in a society of laws. Why do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies? For fun? Well, I didn’t hear anybody laughin’, did you? Except at that guy who made sound effects. Where was I? Oh yeah -- stay out of my booze."
