I was hoping to get some henna work done at 'roo - but don't remember seeing it last year - did they have anyone doing it?
There were a few places on shakedown doing henna last year. Shop around, the prices wildly varied.
But I must say my friend had the best I ever saw. She went home to India for a wedding and came back with her palms, hands and feet covered with beatuiful intricate designs that took weeks to fade.

I would like some on m chest, above the boobs, then after I get sunburnt, and the burn fades to my very pale version of tan, and the henna wears off, ill have a crazy tan tattoo.
Hey Dani, Have you found transportation yet? My God girl I hope you do!
I luv Salvation Army's sometimes here I'll head to Ottawa where the selection is much better. The local town I live in, the clothing in the Sal. Army is crap. Bummer
I SOOO wish I had all the American Stores that you do but we do have an American Eagle!!!
Hey ladies (and the occasional guy). GREAT thread. Im new to Bonnaroo, and going with a car of dudes so its been nice reading this femine touch. Love all the dresses..esp that tye dye one from ebay. I'll be wearing things quite similar. Quick question...should I take something with sleeves in my backpack for at night if I dont plan on going back to my tent? Does it get cool enought that it would be necessary.

I found the coolest store in Atlanta today, in Little Five Points. Can't believe I have been going to Atlanta all these years and NEVER been to this place before. It's called The Junkmans Daughter...have any of you gals been there? I could have bought one of everything in the place! As it was, I ended up spending WAAAYY too much....but I got the coolest outfit for the masquerade(I'll be on the pirate side, but no pirate wench for me .....plus a couple of shirts and a pair of denim shorts on the sale rack for $5!. I had to put back a couple of the cutest sundresses Honestly, everthing I saw I wanted!!
Yippee! I was just chatting with my Bestfriend and we are leaving our husbands at home, and flying to SanFran for the Power to the Peaceful festival in September! I can't wait! We looked at flights from Ottawa and it was 1700 plus tax, from Buffalo its 270. Isn't that insane!
Anyhow, I love the Henna that goes up the arm, how sexy is that!! Well ladies, I'm heading off to see my hair stylist tomorrow for some foils and a cut! Yippee! I've been putting it off for some time now but have to give a little summer lift to it! I love lightening in the summer and toning down for winter........

I have one that is pretty good about keeping its shape... it stays stuffed in my closet top shelf all winter and only comes out to play in the summer and always looks fresh (i've had it for years) but I would assume it just depends on the weave and the flexibility of the fiber

Ladies, I am officially addicted to EBay. I can't believe it took me this long to stumble upon it. So much vintage, cheap clothing! Does anyone else feel my pain?
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
I have a not quite fashion-related question but I figured you guys might be able to help.
Over the last couple of years, I've had trouble with my ankles swelling in the heat. I haven't even had kids or anything, it just started out of the blue. There was one day this week it got in the 80's and as soon as I was outside I felt them puff up. It doesn't seem to go away right away either. I'm going to Florida for the weekend and I know it's going to drive me crazy there. It's kind of embarassing.
Does anyone know any remedies for this? It can be a bit uncomfortable sometimes, and elevation and stuff like that doesn't always work. It drives me nuts actually.

^^^ I've had some ankle issues in the past. Go get some of those ankle supporters that are like a really tight sock with holes for your toes and heel. They are usually pretty cheap. Take ibuprofen, it's an anti-inflammatory, to reduce swelling.

that ankle supporter is a good idea. I have a bad left ankle from a horse incident some years ago, and that thing swells up. It also hurts when I stand on it for an extended period of time. Think I may have to get one.....

Believe it or not - drink lots and lots of water - it really does help keep the swelling down - also watch your salt intake - Salt will cause you to retain water which causes the sweeling to take awhile to go away - I have had 3 kids and two ankle surguries - water water water
So, I've decided to give henna a try. I bought a premixed henna cone at hennaking.com, and picked up a few stencils. Between the stencils, some pictures that I found online, and my own naturally steady (not artistic, mind you, just steady) hands, I will have some ridiculous feet for roo!
Its only like $4-5 a cone for some henna, though shipping is just as much. I think its worth a shot.
LOL! Don't ask me, I ALWAYS overpack I am notorious I will bring more outfits that I will wear. For the simple reason that I am chronically indecisive! I lay out 2 or 3 outfits every night and decide at the last minute in the morning - I never choose where to go at lunch because we would never GET anywhere for lunch if left to me to decide....the only decisions I can make are business and money related - seriously! ??? But THOSE I can make in a snap! ;D
I so so so overpack but this year I don't think I will, I travel on company business soooooo much that I'm getting better at knowing what I need. the preblem with Festies is I find I feel grimey after half the day so you do actually need double the clothing.
Am bringing 3 skirts, 2 pairs of shorts, pair of jeans, hoodie, 5 tanks and will prolly buy a t-shirt. Will wear shorts on the way down, skirts on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, shorts on Sunday and shorts on the way home Monday.
Jeans are for chilly nights. Oh and comfy clothes to sleep in (if I sleep much - more then likely naps in Centeroo)
