lol was it a kariza tye dye dress...purple?
edit: I give up on bidding on Kariza. the auctions seem rigged, someone is even out bidding me at the last second, and when this is going on i'm always suspicious that the seller is setting it up on purpose to drive up the cost.
How high did the big go? I got my Kariza for $14.99 from "vintagesilkwraps" on EBay two weeks ago.
www.soul-flower.com has some dresses and hippie-wear. It's a little pricey, like $38 for dresses, but sometimes they have good sales. I really like their bag selection.
Don't forget, there will be tie-dye vendors at Roo, so there's always the chance you can get a dress/skirt there.

Been out of town for a few days and finally caught up reading this thread. UPDATE - I found my Pantene Styling Serum for Curls!! I did try a few of the suggestions you guys gave me, but my hair apparently only likes the Pantene.
I'll definately be getting my annual Bonnaroo pedicure next week. I think I'll be going with black, matches my flip flops.
Becca, saw a some really cute sparkly butterfly temporary tattoos at Claire's. Thought of you. I could mail them to you if you'd like.
No bra, no makeup.
One week left - must start shopping for some clothes.
I have been lurking in this thread lately, cuz I'm not very girly. However, I have a question for anyone who gets their nails done at a salon, i.e. acrylics. I've had mine done at a few different salons, but no matter where I go, my 'nails' start lifting within a day or two. Am I doing something wrong? Any advice?
I really need to get mine done for a purely non-aesthetic reason, but I can't be going in every other day to get them fixed.

very good point, dont buy all your festival clothes yet, youll probly see something you love there. Most of my festival clothes were bought at festivals, or I tie-dyed it my self.

That site does have some cool looking things. I wanted to get a cool new bag...but maybe I will wait to see if I find something I like a Roo.
One more post on the hair thing: I have that lovely pale skin, dark leg hair thing going, too, and I'm probably too self conscious to shave in public at the stations, as I'm a very large woman. The electric sounds like a great idea, but I can't plop down even $20 with the other things I'm getting that come off as more important (crap to keep me cool). So my plan for private shaving in the tent: lady's shaving gel, a Solo cup with water, and a wet wash rag to clean up. Use the cup to rinse your razor so it doesn't clog, then pour it out where it's acceptable to do so. Sound like it should work?
Oy!... I've been missing out... so this whole packing thing is baffling me... I've got far too many clothes... and I'm trying to narrow it down to bonnaroo appropriate clothes, I'm in RV so its not for a lack of room but I still don't want to overpack... any suggestions on narrowing it down?... I go through this everytime I go somewhere

If your having to go back every 2 days you need to start going to a new place... those people are not doing it right... I got mines down from a really good salon (not expensive!) They lasted a whole month, no chips or crqcks or lifting. But that was the first and last time I got them done I use my hands way too much

that sounds like a great idea! someone posted something earlier, as well, about lotion working instead of soap and water... that sort of frightens me, but it might be worth a try.

I mentioned the lotion...it's not scary and is actually thicker than soap so there's less chance of knicks and cuts.
After I posted about that, someone suggested conditioner instead of lotion as it won't clog as bad as the lotion. I think I'll use this method.

I'm completly obsessive when it comes to packing lists no matter where I'm going, but it really keeps me from overpacking or forgetting something.
I make three lists, usually on Excel - but that's just me. Regular paper would be just fine.
The first is of everything I'm thinking about taking with me, including socks, underwear, shoes and jewelry.
For the second list, I try on everything and make up outfits - including jewelry. This is especially important when I'm going somewhere where I won't have time, space or a mirror to see if Top A goes with Bottom 3 or not. This list also helps me see gaps in my wardrobe - like I adore this one skirt, but I don't have a tank top that goes with it. Or I really could use another pair of capris incase the one pair gets dirty.
Third list, I do a rough plan on what outfits to wear each day. Now, I know this probably will change, but then I know that I've figured out 15 outfits, yet there's only 4 days and I only really need to plan for two changes a day so therefore I can cut out 7 of these outfits. Or I realize that I was only packing that turquoise tank "just in case" but I have plenty of other possibilities and I don't really like that tank anyway.
I also often try everything on - again - as I'm packing to make sure I still like everything. Because it's happened to me on too many trips where I stuff my suitcase full of clothes that don't fit or that I just don't like. And on a trip like Bonnaroo where I'll be getting dressed in a tent that is only 3' high, I don't want to have to think about what I'm wearing they way I normally do.

Oh man karma for that one, I'm a lister too but I never really thought to make it that detailed or to do like a rehersal type deal... brilliant is what I say

WOW - I can honestly say - I will prolly throw my clothes in a bag on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and never look back. Bonnaroo is Bonnaroo and I am def not looking to impress anyone - I have clothes that i think are comfortable - don't show an excessive amont of skin (and that Boz likes - LOL) and I am good to go

gotcha. im going to try this out tonight.
I used lotion for shaving in high school and it worked really well. Of course, I would then wipe off my razor with a towel and that dulls the razor, but either I didn't notice back then or I just didn't care.

you don't NEED to, but it sure is nice to have a fresh set of clothes on after sweating in the hot sun all day.... especially if you're not using the showers also, it's good if it rains or something, then you have nice, dry clothes to put on...
