i'm so glad I have really light hair so I'll be able to just shave my legs before we leave and pretty much get away with it for the weekend. I'll just have to shave my underarms in those glorious VIP showers.
I need to start planning my clothing as well. I *think* I have enough to wear.

I'm planning on bringing an outfit for each day, and then an extra few things just in case. I'm addicted to sweat capris, the kind I have are really comfy and the material is pretty thin, so I think I'll stay pretty cool in them, and I also have some khaki shorts I'm planning on bringing and some running shorts too. I really don't want to wear tennis shoes at roo, bc the socks will get my feet all sweaty in that tennessee sun, so yeah.. I'll be buying some croc-like shoes. I'll be in tank tops the whole time too, most likely!
I have a question too! Do most of you wear a bra, swim top, or nothing underneath your shirts? I cant decide, lol, and I have a lot of tops with built in bras, so I dunno. I HATE wearing bras.. anything less I have sticking to my skin at roo will be best, I guess, lol.
I'm completly obsessive when it comes to packing lists no matter where I'm going, but it really keeps me from overpacking or forgetting something.
I make three lists, usually on Excel - but that's just me. Regular paper would be just fine.
The first is of everything I'm thinking about taking with me, including socks, underwear, shoes and jewelry.
For the second list, I try on everything and make up outfits - including jewelry. This is especially important when I'm going somewhere where I won't have time, space or a mirror to see if Top A goes with Bottom 3 or not. This list also helps me see gaps in my wardrobe - like I adore this one skirt, but I don't have a tank top that goes with it. Or I really could use another pair of capris incase the one pair gets dirty.
Third list, I do a rough plan on what outfits to wear each day. Now, I know this probably will change, but then I know that I've figured out 15 outfits, yet there's only 4 days and I only really need to plan for two changes a day so therefore I can cut out 7 of these outfits. Or I realize that I was only packing that turquoise tank "just in case" but I have plenty of other possibilities and I don't really like that tank anyway.
I also often try everything on - again - as I'm packing to make sure I still like everything. Because it's happened to me on too many trips where I stuff my suitcase full of clothes that don't fit or that I just don't like. And on a trip like Bonnaroo where I'll be getting dressed in a tent that is only 3' high, I don't want to have to think about what I'm wearing they way I normally do.
And this is why I love you so much and am so psyched to be traveling with you!
As far as clothes go, I dress by mood. So I'm bringing all my 'roo worthy clothes and I'll decide when I get there. ;D
Though I am related to the Queen of Excel lists , I do the same thing. I figure the more the better - always can loan something out to someone in a pinch and if I wake up and feel green instead of orange I can wear green. I'll be in a mishmosh of my Roo-worthy duds - tanks, cargo shorts, little sundresses (for those who haven't shopped yet Old Navy has some beauts - some of their cheapo beach coverups make super cute dresses for us shorties out there). And then Crocs ;D

i do the bathing suit tops...also, i try to find dresses that i don't have to worry about wearing anything under

before my last baby my first order of business at any fest was to take off the bra, but alas, the girls just aren't quite as perky anymore (perky, just not AS perky) so I wear a bra or a bikini top most of the time (but sometimes I just say f*uck it and go without)
But tank tops with the built in shelf bra is my first choice. GENIUS!!!
If your having to go back every 2 days you need to start going to a new place... those people are not doing it right...
Thanks! I have been to at least 4 different places, and the same things happens. That's why I'm wondering if it's just me.
Nope, it's not you, However, you have probably either washed your hands or put on lotion within the two hours before you had them done. This will cause lifting.
Also, if you are going to have your nails done on a regular basis and need them to last at least a month like I do, pay the extra $5 and get solar nails. They are awesome and do not yellow after smoking or tanning. Plus, they adhere really well; much better than regualr nails.

This is what I did last year and it worked perfectly. I brought about 15 outfits and wore them all. As a matter of fact, the only thing that I took that I didn't wear was my galoshes. I'll do the same this year.
EDIT, to clarify: We left Oklahoma Wednesday morning and returned home on Monday night, so the 15 outfits were enough for all those days, not just Roo days.
2 skirts 1 pair jeans 2 pairs shirts 4 tank tops 1 t-shirt (will buy more when I am there) 10 pairs underroos sandals 1 pair socks running shoes 6 bandanas
I think that is about it.
Hey, Meg, is one pair of socks enough for you? I'm bringing running shoes, which I don't plan on wearing, and four pairs of socks, just in case it rains. I'm an over-planner, though. But, hey, if you need some socks while you're at Roo, you know where to find me!
All you girls with the lists... it makes me flash to that scene in Clueless where she's picking out her outfits by computer... tee hee... I love that movie.

actually - you are right - I think I need more socks - because I will wear them at night if I sleep or if it rains - I don't plan on wearing my running shoes at all - but ya never know

Thanks! I'll look into the solar nails. I don't recall them being offered before at the places I've been to, but it's been a while since I've had them done. I won't go back to those salons anyway. If I get another nail tech that talks on his/her cell the entire time he/she is doing my nails, I'm going to get up right in the middle of it and walk out.

I love that movie too - and would LOVE to have a computer that did that!
