Ladies, if you have a Ross dress for less in your area...go check it out and see what you find...I got a pair of teva's for 10 bucks and a dress for 12...
so ... I think I'm going to put it to a vote... Its a lame picture (my camera doesn't like geometrics) but help me out here
Whatever ones you don't wear, i'll borrow the rest. They are all so darn cute. I don't have any sundresses and I am worried about that. I have a pair of shorts, two bathing suits and I think 3 white wife-beaters. I am so tomboyish. Anyone have any ideas... Very short on cash.

ideas for tomboyishness? costume jewlery... I run around in a wifebeater and jeans all the time and since I have no hair left costume jewlery does the trick for making me not look so tomboyish... but actually I got most of those dresses for pretty cheap (think between 10-25 bucks) just gotta brows clearance

I will second that the Ross Dress for Less is awesome! Also, TJ Maxx has good stuff for very cheap. Though with these stores you have to have the desire to be on a mission for what you want. Long racks of tons of clothes. Reminds me of Gabriels, which we dont have one around here anymore and it still depresses me!
Nope, it's not you, However, you have probably either washed your hands or put on lotion within the two hours before you had them done. This will cause lifting.
Also, if you are going to have your nails done on a regular basis and need them to last at least a month like I do, pay the extra $5 and get solar nails. They are awesome and do not yellow after smoking or tanning. Plus, they adhere really well; much better than regualr nails.
Thanks! I'll look into the solar nails. I don't recall them being offered before at the places I've been to, but it's been a while since I've had them done. I won't go back to those salons anyway. If I get another nail tech that talks on his/her cell the entire time he/she is doing my nails, I'm going to get up right in the middle of it and walk out.
When I used to get acrylic back in college, I often had the same issue with my nails peeling up. They told me it's because I use my hands too much and fiddle with them too much. They said that the pressure on the tips of the fingers flattens the natural nail causing the acrylic to separate. But I used to get them to prevent nail biting and I wonder if I was gnawing or attempting to in my sleep, causing the issue. And once there is a bit of a separation, just a bit of lotion or water will make that thing peel away lickedy split.

So my roomate and my sister and I were thinking about waxing our legs before the roooo to avoid having to shave/being fuzzy. Any good ideas about brands of wax we should try? I know that some can be more irritating than others. And the last thing we want is to have itchy legs at the Roo....
I am still wearing my crocs, with Jibbitz... Becca, your butterfly is adorable! I love it!
Second... I WILL NOT be wearing a bra, 32D or not... By the way, anyone know where I can buy good quality 32D bras? They just dont exist!
Third, I LOVE those Kariza wraps! I have a similar skirt, never thought to wrap it all those ways! It's like a got a whole new dress, for nothing! I love it.
Lastly... I had tto shave my legs thee days ago... I was growing it out for Roo... but my boyfriend requested it... so I did... I hope they are back to hippie-style by Roo, though. I will, however, be shaving my armpits, that shit itches if I dont!
I've never had acylic nails, so I dont know about that one...
Hello gals I'm new on the board ^.^ and this is my frist Roo but I've been getting tons of great advice just by readding these boards . Hows the vender situation usually?? Is there alot of cool clothes to buy, creative crafters? I'm thinking of just packing a few clothes and buying the rest while im there

Good luck!
Thanks! I think that might be my problem. I'm not a nail biter so much as a skin picker (just my fingers). The acrylic nails are too thick to do much damage. But I think I still try to pick at them and maybe that's why the nails lift. I'd rather not get them done at all, but I pick without realizing it, so I really don't have any other choice. Bloody fingers are not sexy!
i have been looking for some cheap cute sun dresses and today i went to old navy. they have the cutest little sun dresses for only $20!! they are cotton and have little pockets, i had to get two!! the colors are good too! i am bringing about two outfits a day, and lots of extra underoos. tanks to sleep in, and of course my crocs and chacos. also a thought, to everyone who wears disposable contacts, bring an extra pair, i lost one, a few years ago, and it was not fun!!
the vendors are great, there are tons of cute clothes i always come home with some! the prices aren't bad either!

I used to get all my bras at Vic's Secret, but they don't go over DD cups. Even when I lost weight, my boobs got bigger! WTF? I miss VS!
Anyway, you could try figleaves.com. They have a pretty big selection and larger cup sizes. They are UK sizes so I think the cups run one size smaller, but don't quote me on that.
BTW, all you gals with uncomfy bras might be wearing the wrong size. figleaves.com has a pretty in-depth bra fitting section. I can barely feel mine. And sometimes I even sleep in them.
a few pages earlier people were talking about wearing shorts under skirts/dresses....well i found a cheap pair at target (clearance, 6.88!!) anyway i wore them at a show the other day and they made a world of a difference! definitely worth the $7 i paid for them!
Do most people wear shorts under their skirts/dresses? What kind of shorts to you wear? Doesnt that make you more hot because of the extra layers?
BTW, i did dye my skirt brown and it came out really cute! all the stitching stayed white and it looks like i did it on purpose! That Rite dye was easy.
I plan on wearing bike short-type things. They're pretty thin so shouldn't make me any more hot, although I will also wear regular underwear so if I do get hot, I can just throw the shorts in my bag.
the shorts for some people are like a necessary evil. if you're walking around all day, in the humidity and heat, this can cause chaffage between the legs and things get all sweaty. The shorts help wick away some of the moisture and prevent chaffing.

OMG don't ever go away for a conference and not check your boards you write on. This is scary. I knew Girlythread would the most populated so I read it first. I can't wait! When I was away the tickets came in the mail and didn't need a signature!!! Hubby grabbed them and was explaining the look to me. I also went to the bank and picked up $700 american! Wow it was cheap. I remember years ago paying almost double for AM money. 700 cost me 758!!!! Yippee!
No Bra for me, I have a bikini top for that sort of thing. I was wondering though, should I bring a pair of bikini bottoms? Is there a chance to get totally wet? (Sprinkler system etc)?
If someone had asked me a question in the past that I didn't answer, I'm back! yippee!
Crocs, ok everyone knew I blistered beyond belief with my new clog styl crocs, I went to Ottawa to fly out for that conference and bought a pair of Thongs, OMG they are the answer for someone like me who blistered!

i wear underarmour coolmax shorts, which is meant to wick away moisture to keep things cool and dry. works perfectly! i wear underoos under them so i can wear the shorts multiple times (kinda expensive! ~$40) throughout the weekend!
