^^^ while u laugh at the silly tourists, I'm gonna sneak into you camp and eat all the cookies.. before taking a nice long nap On a more serious note, I may not have much of an awesome campsite, but it'll be really cozy and u're all welcome... (while i sneak a nap at your's.. bwahahahaha)
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Does anyone have advice on attaching fabric to the ez-ups? I bought some beautiful fabric last year to use as "walls" to get a little privacy now and then but keeping them up was a nightmare, especially if there was any rain. I thought we were going to put grommetts in this year but they are a giant pain in the ass!!! Any and all suggestions are welcome.
We hook our tapestries over the metal frame and clothespin them. Works great even in high winds.

So - for the past 3 years I've brought the same tapestries and sheets for the privacy/sun blockage on my EZ-up. The first year - we just happened to have zip ties. So we just cut little 1 inch slits in the fabric every couple of feet and zip tied them to the EZ-up frame. Last year, I got a little wise, and sat down with the sewing machine and reinforced the previously cut holes with extra fabric. So we can still just zip tie them, but the holes wont ever rip... and yes I mean "ever"... I sewed them bitches up tight!!!

^^^ Stop flaunting your super-nice relaxing shady campsite in our faces!!
.....can I hang out with you?
Haha! That wasn't my intention. It's not like we had RVs with air conditioning. I just wanted to show ya'll the ridiculously large canopy that I'm lucky enough to have access to.
Absolutely! My Inforoo peeps are more then welcome.

Lol, awesome! I'd thought about getting one of those 10x20 canopies instead of 2) 10x10s.... How hard are they to set up? And how big are they completely collapsed? I'm wondering if I can fit it in my Fit, lol.
Bumping this thread for great justice. Let's see your campsites from Roo 09! This is unfortunately probably the best picture I have of my campsite, the neighbor kid Trent (who was really cool but we forgot his last name) is sleeping in our shade haha. My tent is on the other side of the EZ-Up, and yep this is Tent Only (even though there was the odd car somehow).

I saw this AMAZING campsite in 2009 somewhere near Camp Marty McFly and didn't have my camera to snap a picture.... it was a massive dark green tent canopy complete with one if not more Chandeliers, rugs, couches, etc. Stunning!

The one I've got is pretty easy to set up. I'd suggest setting it up before you leave and color coding the connecting pieces. That way when you get to the farm you want have to waste time figuring all that out. I use spray paint. Red for the legs, white for the roof poles and red for the support beams.
It defiantly takes up more room then an easyup but it's well worth it.

Thanks alot! Do you know the approximate dimensions of it while collapsed?
sheiscindy, this will be my first roo, but my bff goes every year, she posted a photo of this enormous tent. I'm here trolling for ideas. I'm kinda OCD and tend to over-prepare. We're family camping (5 year old) and I'm thrilled but terrified.
I have some questions on campsites size and parking in VIP. Does anybody know the dimension of a space in VIP? Some have said 20'x20'-30', I have never been VIP and do not know. I have based my sketches on a 20'x25' lot.
I heard one could park their truck(schematics based on a 2004 F-150, ~18' long) sideways in the lot and not be over the line(~20'). This lot does not look that wide?
Is this how parking works? One car to the left, then one car to the right? Or is it park one row on the left, then park the row on the right?
Vehicles(~18' long) rotated, parked sideways to fit bumper to bumper, then put your tent, easy-ups on the side of your vehicles.
does this look right for VIP? Or does the picture look right?
GA is usually more like the top pic and you camp behind or in front of your vehicle as space dictates. Or something like this also (but my pics are not near as nice as yours)
And plagiarizing the last post, here's the order they park you in, in case it wasn't clear. They leave some space in front of the bottom row of cars and behind the back row of cars. Last year, in BFE they crammed the cars so close people couldn't even put up their tents. Don't be nuts, but when they tell you to get in close, quack them.
This was us last year. I am the giant tent that forgot his rain guard. Thankfully I had enough tarp to make one. Bring tarps! I can not stress that enough. At first we used them to stake out our tent only location then when I realized I was stupid they became the best rain fly ever.

Wowsers, Tent Only seemed A LOT more crowded than that!
Our camp...4 tents, 8 people, a shower tent and another one that we put a portable toilet in. plus an ez-up. and yes, that's a kiddie pool... and no, it was not a good idea...
2010 was our first roo and we definitely did not bring enough shade. more tarps, more canopies for this year!
Just throwing around ideas about my camp site this year, I usually just set up a little pop up tent, but this year I'm looking at using a 10x20 canopy aswell as my tent... What are dimensions of GA camping? Will a 10x20 canopy fit with a little overhang between a car and/or the tent?
^^I would be disappointed if that did not work for you. It says you get 10' behind your car but you can get a few more feet. 20' ,extend canopy as far as the person camping behind you will allow and let the rest overhang the car, on the other end. You will be fine.
Love this thread. So how long does it take to take down your campsite? I want to bring some fun decorations, but I worry I'll be too exhausted to put everything away.
Depends on what you want your campsite to look like. In my four years I've found it takes roughly 30-60 minutes to get most everything set up and we may change or add things as the weekend goes. Set up time also depends on how much beer we start drinkin' and how quickly.
