i'm a fan of Yuengling but prefer Heineken on a hot summer day... that's just in a can though.. my fav summertime beers are Widmer Brothers Hefeweizen and McMenamin's Ruby (regional Pacific Northwest breweries)
Hefeweizen is that a northern beer? And Warsteiner? Are those in cans?

As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
I just want to go on record of saying Corona is probably the 2nd worst "beer" Ive ever had the misfortune of tasting (the worst being a non-alcohol brew I tried in costa rica....Don't look at me like that, I wanted to try all of the beers I could made in Costa Rica)
Bud Light isn't much above that either.
I really shouldn't even count either as beer. Both of them probably use more corn and rice than barley anyway.
all beer is nice in its own ugly way, yes it may taste bad, but after your 7th or 8th one they all still give you a nice buz! I love me some beer! I want to take a few different kids to the roo this year, last year we had slim pickins but we still got our yuengling. if Spaten was in a can id be all over that

Thats not how I look at it at all. Good beer is delicious. It shouldn't have to take 7 beers to taste good.
Beer is art you can drink. Appreciate it, not the buzz.
^I'm in the same chapter of the book as you, but not the same page I love good beer.... Nothing better than a few fantastically delicious beers to relax...
BUT.... I do like to drink 12 or 18 crappy cheap beers to have a good time. Those days are growing shorter, though, thankfully.

^I went looking for that at the local warehouse, Greens, and couldn't find it... but I got something else. Potentially, the worst tasting beer I've ever had.
Have you ever seen something so cheap and said "wow, that looks awful... I must get it"? Well, I did that today, with a little 24 ounce malt liquor called "Four 0". It was only a dollar twenty five, and boy does it taste like someone mixed cheap whiskey, spit, and urine into a carbonated canned drink.

Wife just came home with a six pack of the warsteiner and Hefeweizen. Trying the Warsteiner right now, Nice and smooth. If you like this beer you will definitely like the Spaten oktoberfest or the paulaner oktoberfest. The Paulaner is a bit better but harder to find.

The Widmer hefeweizen is an excellent choice. Very cloudy and one of the few wheat beers I really enjoy. Last year I was lucky enough to sneak a case of the Sammy Summer variety pack into Roo. The Summer Ale and the Pale Ale were great in the heat.
I'm looking forward to the good 'ol Magic Hat No. 9 when I get to roo this year. I moved out the the west coast this year and haven't been able to find a drop of anything Magic Hat. As for beer in a can I've got to stand by my Coors and Coors light. Nothing better in a can in my opinion. Now outside of a can thats a whole different story. Stella Artois, Yeungling, Shiner Boch, the list goes on, and then it increases by 10x when we get into the drafts.
We have a place out here called the Yardhouse that has over 100 beers on tap. I'm currently working my way down the bar, I'll let you know when I fall over it.
Yuengling is one of my favorite large scale domestics plus my rugby team is sponsored by Yuengling so the local Yuengling rep always kicks us a couple of kegs for after-game parties. I'm going to talk to him at the next game and see if I can't work out a few cases for Roo this year.
My last name is Killian so I'm obligated to drink Killian's Irish Red regularly. When I go to bars I always pull the "Yeah that's my great, great grandfather's beer" and it usually gets me a couple of free pints.
