Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
PBR had a commerical years ago. Pabst Blue Ribbon: Tastes like coming home. Back in the late 70's and early 80's we'd buy PBR cause it was cheap. Now it's back in style, go figure. I tried 2 brews last year at Roo for the first time. Dale's Pale Ale and Sweetwater 420 were awesum. I highly recomend either one. However due to gas prices. I guess I'll go the Coor's route with a big ole bottle (plastic of course) of Capt Morgan.

FAT TIRE IN CANS THIS SUMMER!!!
Just watching the news and there was an announcement that they would be producing Fat Tire in cans. They recognize that bottles are not allowed many places and they and probably have a better recycling effort from the aluminum cans.

Get you a cup and put about a tbsp of flour in it and pour a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon on top of it. Drink it fast and after about 5 you'll think "man Blue Moon and Shiner Bock and got poop on this redneck hefwiesin". I'm still working on a Pabst Stout.
For those of you wanting an alternative to Natty, I was in Kroger's yesterday and they had a beer called "Hobbs". They had it in a lager and a light. It was on sale for the same price as Natty. Just curious to see if anyone has heard of it or tried it.
NO NO NO NO! Fosters is not Australian for beer! Nobody there drinks it, and if you order it in a bar, people will instantly know you're a tourist. It's not what Australians drink, it's just what some Americans like to imagine Australians drink.

Jack324,
I am not sure if/when I've had a Fosters, so I am in no position to discuss quality. Just thought that since it is a canned beer that some might wish to partake of some.
My stock for Bonnaroo looks like: Guinness, Murphy's Red, Murphy's Stout, Beamish, Oskars Pale Ale, Oskars Gordon, Ska Brewing ESB, Heiniken (sp). Mojito Mix, Vodka, Bombay Saphire Gin, Buffalo Trace Whiskey, a couple small non glass packages of white zin.
To be added a case of Fat Tire Ale
Crap, this make me wonder if I have a drinking problem.......actually want to have plenty of stuff to drink if someone wants to sit down and chat.
Morning will have coffee brewing to offset the effects of the above liquids.

Do they sell Murphy's in the States? I started drinking it while I've been studying over here in Dublin and I don't want to imagine my life without it, but it's not even that widely available in some parts of this country.
eta: Steel City! You answered my question before I even asked! Karma. Hopefully I can find some in MA or when we get close to Manchester.

in MA, just go to Julio's liquors in Westborough on rt 9.
they have it all... and if youre in state on june 1, they are having a MASSIVE beer tasting.
Yuengling is one of my top favorite beers, and as far as cans go it can't (pun?) be beat. I will most definitely be bringing cases of it. I also think MGD makes a pretty damn good canned beer, as far as large scale, cheap domestics go. Can't stand Miller Lite, or any light beer really, but MGD is good light crisp one for hot days. I'll be bringing cases of MGD for the days and Yeungling for the nights. I'm also bringing Cuervo funneled into a 2 liter bottle because tequila is the only liquor I can drink warm, straight and w/o a chaser.
The conversation about cider made me laugh because cider makes me laugh. I have a buddy who orders a Magners every time we walk into a bar that sells it, and I always feel obliged to ask if he'd like a sippy cup for his apple juice. He's pretty sick of that joke by now, but it usually gets a good laugh from the bartenders. On two occasions it got such a good laugh that I got a free pint out of it. I'll recycle that joke till I die.
EDIT: Just saw the Fosters posts. An Australian guy I met at a bar once said to me, "What do Fosters and sex in a canoe have in common? F-ing close to water."

Going to go buy another case of the sweet nectar today. I am going to try and get it for the sweet deal i got it for last Thursday. 6.71 for a CASE (24). I told the cashier that it didn't sound right, but she rang it up at 6.71. I hope it is at the same price, if so I'll be getting 3 more cases. Then to spoil my self, I am gonna buy some Dales, and some other goodies.

PS - The rest of the Oskar Blues Brewery beers are wonderful also!
Im gona have to agree that dales pale ale is way better than yeungling in a can. Anything by oskar blues is actually really good. FOr some other suggestions, look at the sly fox brewery. They also can their beers.

I'm not going through the whole thread, but this post must be read by all again. Dales is one of the better beers out there.
Canned and keg beer taste better because they're not exposed to light. Light kills beer. Yuengling usually comes in a green bottle, so LOTS of light gets in. Stupid Americans are convinced that "green bottle" equals "fresh beer". Heineken DELIBERATELY skunks their beer (even canned beer) by exposing it to light because Americans usually think it tastes better.
I second the suggestion for Sly Fox... I think that's a regional one, so you might not be able to find it too far from PA.
Yuengling is ubiquitous is the Philly area... nobody orders it by name at bars, it's just "lager." I love it but I'm a bit tired of it, since it's what I've been drinking since I started drinking. But it's generally the best beer for the price. Not hard to find some bars with it on tap for $2.50/pint.
I agree that the green bottles are not cool. For a while I could never figure out why it sometimes tasted like shit.
