Does anyone who is a big fan of Crocs know how the flip flop Crocs compare to the original/classic ones? They're not nearly as hideous, and I do love a good flip flop...

The flip flops are extremely comfortable. I don't own any, but I made my friend's 9-year-old daughter trade shoes with me on vacation last year. Hee Hee.

So, I feel as though I should share my Crocs experience. Mainly because they really are comfortable, and yes, really ugly. My mom (who is a little bit of a sucker for fads) bought some a few years ago and decided she didnt like them so I took them. They are perfect for rainy days on campus when the puddles pile up and definitely easy to slip on and off. I have them in an eggshell color, so they don't scream crazy college girl so much.
Anyway, I was at LAX and wearing them to get on the plane when this group of men carrying instruments (I later found out they were a ska band) said they had just gotten back from Hawaii where they met the creator of Crocs and he invited them to stay at his mansion, etc etc. He gave them all a free pair, and for wearing them, they gave me and all my friends free CDs!
Some Sanuk's on sale at the link below...both men's and women's styles, but more women's. Fellas if you are checking this out, I would recc. The Professor. It's the closest to the original SideWalk Sufer style.

I went barefoot for a while b/c my Sanuks were so gross that I needed to wash the mud/horse poop off and unfortunately they didn't dry in time for when we were leaving camp. I would suggest packing a pair of flip flops in your bag for the walk over to centroo and just go barefoot once you're on the grass
has anyone done roo barefoot? i was considering not wearing shoes the whole weekend...
I wore my sanuks for the walks back and forth but once I was in centeroo they were in the backpack, its not that bad aside from an occasional gravel path

I did some of it barefoot because the stupid sandals I was wearing cut my foot (still have a damn scar and probably will for a very long time). I didn't have an extras on me at the time so I walked on the gravel for about ten minutes with no shoes. After a few minutes my feet got used to it and it didn't bother me, but I did have the cut that got all nasty. You definitely look around for animal poo a lot!

i just splurged on some sanuks, black/grey kingston style. i like them alot already. i wanted to get the pinstripe kerouc style but they didnt have my size in the store
i usually rock a couple different pairs of shoes at the roo. i rotate between reef and rainbow flip flops, a pair of crocs and sanuks. i have this weird arch thing and I can't wear the same pair of shoes for too long. all of the shoes i wear are VERY comfortable in my opinion.
Also, there are a couple of shoe vendors in centeroo and have comparable prices so if you want to pick up a pair of shoes there, hit them up. If i recall there was a Croc vendor there too. I bought a pair of Rainbows there and I still have them 2 years later. Rainbow really make a great pair of flip flops.
