Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Most people seem to forget that we can have monsoons at Bonnaroo. I always bring a great pair of boots with me. When the rains really do hit, like the did in 2004 and somewhat in 2005, you want some good protection for your feet. Boots are great for walking through the mud and not worrying about the gook you're slogging through.
last year i rocked the galoshes with boxers but still my feet we amazingly dry and their was mud but not as much as years b4 i can't imagine!! target always has galoshes for cheap good investment!
I usually like none at all.....I've never had problems with glass, needles, human feces, etc.....mainly just those sharp ass rocks in the camping area.
just wanted to let everyone in on a little secret used by runners called Blister Shield. it's a powder used to prevent blisters and painful rubbing. i'm going to be trying it out prior to bonnaroo, but supposedly people can complete very long distance runs and hikes without developing a blister. the company also make something called Sports Shield which can be used on the feet as well as between upper thighs or any other area where chaffing and friction happen. it's sweat-proof! i just heard about it recently and plan on buying it this week to try it out, i'll let you all know how it works!
its also good to bring moleskin with you in case you do get blisters.... i did crocs one year and ended up with bruises on the bottoms of my feet from the rocks, from now on its my tennis shoes, and boots for walking to centeroo, once i get there the shoes come off anyhow....

Flip flops or Birkenstocks for me. I've worn one or the other all years and be fine-no blisters, sore feet, etc. The flip flops I wear (had them for yeeeaaarrrrss) have a thick, slightly cushiony bottom. They're so comfy. The only time I don't wear flip flops is when it rains b/c then the mud sucks them off your feet. I have rain boots for that.

So are crocs pretty much out of the question if the little rocks or whatever hurt your feet? or are they still good? I may try out the sanuks, I have heard some praise on this site because of them. What makes the so special btw?

is there any negatives with having sanuks? and I take it that barefoot in Centeroo is the way to go? pretty clean I take it? I do understand the whole grass thing though and going barefoot

^^Sanuks are just really really comfy. It's like a sandal/shoe hybrid. I just got my first pair a few weeks ago and I love them! I have read on here that a lot of people like to go barefoot in Centeroo but I personally wouldn't do it. I'm just too paranoid about stepping on something gross or painful...especially after reading the "I puked at Roo" thread.
and half price! I look forward to getting them and joining the Hype... These will be my first pair of shoes for Roo that are closed toe (besides the wellies) so I also look forward to not having dirtaaay toes for 4 days.

I am sticking by my crocs and my keens - both work wonderfully for Roo. Tons of people wear them there for a reason.
Just as an FYI. While crocs and sanucks are great for 'roo, bring a good pair of walking/running shoes too. Last year I twisted my ankle and I really didn't have any good support, and it was a TOTAL bummer being gimpy.
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.
Got my Sanuks last night. they are WAAAAAAAY freakin comfortable. They have the same squooshy bottom that my first roo shoes (flip flops) had and I love em. I think im gonna wear em to work tomorrow and see what a full day feels like in them.
