So I have Sanuks, Tevas, Chacos flips, and I just bought a pair of Chacos sandals. My god, these things are wonderful and actually worth $100. I broke them in on a beer bike tour the other night. I figured my feet would be incredibly sore the next day. They weren't. They actually felt pretty good. Best purchase I've made in some time. The best part of them is not having to deal with velcro. I love my old trusty tevas but the velcro is almost worn out.

Another Crocs person. Wouldn't be caught dead in them outside of Bonnaroo, but they did me very well for two Roos. No blisters, easy to slip off when parked for a show, survived mud and dust and razor-sharp TN grass. I also take a pair of Reef flip flops for camp.
For someone else saying they needed to size down for Crocs to be snug - you actually don't want them snug. When they seem a bit big, that is actually best and they will still stay on in mucky-muck mud. After having my daughter, my old Roo Crocs now fit exactly and now they give blisters. I need to go get myself a new pair in a larger size for this year.
The back strap just isn't even really resting on my heel, so Im going to try a smaller size and see how I feel. I don't want them tight, just make me feel more confident that they wont slip off. I never tried them on at a store, so I'll probably just go to a farther Crocs store near my friends house next weekend and finally try on different sizes.
You can buy adjustable velcro straps for them. I had to do that because I was right in between sizes. So I bought the smaller size and got the velcro straps online. They work perfectly.
Hello All! my mom ordered me these earth shoes: www.shoebuy.com/earth-waterproof-shoes.htm I haven't gotten them yet, but they seem like a great shoe for roo. They remind me of tevas, but with toe protection! I lived in my crocs last year, and I will def be bringing them along this year. I found crocs for $10.50 + shipping at 6pm.com but the sizes and colors are limited

sanuks > all
I had to wear crocs last year after I lost my sanuks on the first night. I think my pair of crocs were too small. I kept getting a brush burn, I had to tape up both of my feet before wearing them. Then little rocks would get inside of them all the time. meh.

Sounds like your crocs were definitely too small. You want them to feel almost too big!

Ordering these suckers (http://www.fivefinger-vibram.org/vibarm-fivefingers-sprint-redblack-p-28.html) right now!!! Going to start breaking them in as soon as i get them!!
I need shoes with arch support. I'm looking at Sanuks and they don't appear to have any.
Also, a lot of the Croc "girl" shoes are adorable, but are they good for walking long distances?
I'm really anti-sneaker because I already know I'm going to be sweating like a whore in church the entire time.
Keens have pretty good arch support. My husband and I both have them and love them. If you watch the sales on Amazon.com you can get them for a good price. They are great for Bonnaroo and if you buy the more open ones your feet stay cool. These are the ones I have (I don't have pink ones....): www.keenfootwear.com/product/ss10/shoes/women/waterfront/venice%20h2
I just got my sanuks today. I went down to my local Sports Chalet and they had a decent selection. I usually wear size 11 1/2 shoes but i ended up getting size 13 sanuks. I have pretty wide feet but it still seems they run small too. Can't wait for my first roo!
Boots rule. Waterproof hiking boots. Use silicone spray waterproofer. Not the sanuks, tevas, rainbows, or crocs. Protect your feet from all the stupid shoes that are going to leave your feet wet and/or dirty. You can where like quarter socks and you might not win any fashion shows but you can get around the place much easier and won't suffer from blisters. Just a thought. What will you do when you get those Sanuks soaked? Or you step in horse doo in teva's? It might not ruin bonnaroo and they shut the whole festival down cause you did all that, but it will suck. When you are cruising in and out of portapotties and mud puddles you will thank me.

Uh I'm sure that works fine for you, and I'm glad, but no. Just no. I can't imagine wearing boots all weekend in that heat. I mean I don't know about you but my feet sweat alot in sandals, much less full on boots. I certainly never stepped in any kind of turds last year (just gotta watch where you are going, not too hard) and if my Sanuks got wet, well it was like 90 degrees in the shade, they dried pretty quickly and didn't cause me any troubles. For that matter I don't think they ever did get wet.. filthy with mud yes but never soaked through.
I think I'm going to do a rough shoe experiment this year and bring my Sanuks, Chacos, and Keens - wear each on a separate day, see which one really performs the best for me. Let you guys know

im going to have to agree with this guy.
all those lacy frilly shoes are great at the campsite, but for going into centeroo or walking around basically anywhere but my campsite, i need some hiking shoes. wearing sandals into a porto? hell farking NO!
although, i dont go waterproof unless it's raining. need some level of breath-ability in my shoes.

I got the black on black for 50bucks, shipped to Dubai for free (which is pretty cool) I hope they work out
Thanks but i already ordered them. it was only a 5 dollar discount, and the place has a 2 year warranty and 60 days guarantee ill like them
And i deff ordered them for 56 yesterday... now they r listed for 61
I did however forget about the portaloos... i may have to bring shoes just for the bathroom!
These look like they would be great.... but since my second toe is freakishly longer than my big toe, the dream of wearing these will never be realized.
Yeah low cut boots wolf, they aren't bad in the heat. And you can pass everyone in between the what and which mud hole. The thing is you can stick them in a grocery bag , then in your pack and do another shoe. Totally worth trying, my roommate will tell you the same thing.
Haha what is the problem with wearing sandals in a portapotty exactly?? I mean unless you are peeing all over yourself I don't see the issue.. I mean the bottoms of your feet are covered, that's the important thing no?
Crocs Prepair shoes for 15 bucks!!!! (look at the link provided above, orig price is 40, there is a coupon to make it 14 and a coupon for free shipping..
