Honestly, I've worn reef flip flops and had no problems. i brought some wipes for when my feet got dirty and they were strong enough that they didnt break or anything. plus once i hosed them off they were good to wear when i got home. i've had the same pair for years.
I bought Tevas that strapped around my foot last year but found them to be too uncomfortable. I wore my Reef flip flops the rest of the time and they worked well.
this will be my rainbows 4th year at bonnaroo, i alternate between those and my chucks depending on the ground conditions, and to all the people looking at what shoe they should buy for bonnaroo, just wear what you are used to wearing and are comfortable walking in, theres really no reason to go shoe shopping for bonnaroo imo

I know I slipped like crazy and almost lost a shoe to the insane mucky mud of 2008. If I were wearing flip flops when walking home from MMJ I would have arrived at camp barefoot. Flops are great, but have a backup if it rains - can get pretty wonky.
I'll be bringing my Pumas and my Tevas with me to the fest. I seriously can't understand how some people can make it through an entire weekend wearing flip flops. That just seems ridiculously uncomfortable.
Don't know if anyone saw this yet, but i went on their site looking at sanuks, and they named a pair in matt's honor!!
I saw this and got really choked up. That is so amazing and kind. I have been stressed with all the ugliness around me lately, so this really brightened me up tonight (plus buying my ticket!!!).
I always wear Tevas to Roo...but this year I am going to wear Sanuks in Matt's honor...just ordered my Carpe DM's and cant wait to get them on! After reading the this thread and sanukblog.com on Matt...teared up and have to state that I wish I knew him personally. RIP Matt!
^^ Make sure to break those in. I got a pair of Keens a few weeks before Langerado years ago. Even after breaking them in for days on end, I ended up with horrible blisters within 48 hours and ended up going bearfoot the whole time. Love Keens .... Just make sure they are broken in well.
Sorry for the double post but does anybody know anything about these?
They are the Merrell Trail Guide shoes with the Vibram-sole. I've always like the idea of the barefeet Vibram but I just didn't like the look. These I can get into.

last year i brought waterproof hiking boots, sanuks, flip flops, and reebok classics just to be prepred for anything. hiking boots came in handy for the downpour on wednesday night, but after that, it was sanuks all day. they only left my feet when i slept. so comfortable (bought them bc of matt RIP)
i still wear them all the time now, even in the snow when it is not the least bit practical.

The last couple of years I have worn my Keen sandals with the "toe guard" for Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. Sometime I get blisters on the top of my foot where the strap comes over, sometimes I don't.
Being Helly Hansen brand they are going to be expensive, but surely there is something available that is similar and cheaper. What do you guys and girls think? Would they be good for 'Roo?
I have a pair but I planned on wearing my Wayfarers which I have worn nearly every day for the past 2 years. Most comfortable shoes ever once broke in.
