So what kind of Sanuks are recommended aside from the Carpe DMs? I mean technically those have yet to be tested in the Bonnaroo environment...I want them for the meaning behind it, which I think is really cool, but they are pretty ugly compared to the rest of the shoes on there to be honest. I'm still going to buy them for the cause...but which was everyone's go-to Sanuk style before Matt passed?
I have a pair but I planned on wearing my Wayfarers which I have worn nearly every day for the past 2 years. Most comfortable shoes ever once broke in.
I say wear whatever YOU are most comfortable in. My gang told me I wouldn't want to bring my Reef flipflops, but those were busted out within a few hours after my Tevas starting hurting. Wore the flip flops the rest of the weekend, no sore feet.

I actually like the look of the CarpeDMs better than all the other styles. I got the olive CarpeDMs yesterday and they are so comfortable can't wait to wear them at roo this year!
Wore my five fingers last year, the KSOs, and the farm did some seeeerious damage to the soles. I'm going fivefingers again, but this time with the TREKSPORT. It's got a thicker sole. And for all the haters on the toes, I understand they stoopid, but it beats swamp foot and the embarrassment of wearing Crocs.

i always wear nomad rope sandals. they've never done me wrong. even hiked down a river in jamaica in the mothers. people say they smell after a while, but mine never get that bad. and you could always wash em'. they're 100% washable and dryable for that matter. they even have new ones with soles i'm going to try this year. hubby wears em' too.
^^ Make sure to break those in. I got a pair of Keens a few weeks before Langerado years ago. Even after breaking them in for days on end, I ended up with horrible blisters within 48 hours and ended up going bearfoot the whole time. Love Keens .... Just make sure they are broken in well.
yeah, I killed myself working an 8-hour shift at work with them saturday...really liking them thus far, though

Several people mention Chaco's as a choice. I have a pair of my own but I was wondering if you could get a case of swamp foot from them with them being just sandals and all. True?
i've never owned a paor of any style crocs mainly bc i'm a true flip flop kinda girl...i hate my toes being encased...but i do know from experience that regular old flip flops will give me blisters after a day off walking so does anyone know how the open toe crocs are? www.crocs.com/crocs-electro-slide-kids/10706,default,pd.html?cid=25J&cgid=girls-footwear
ooooh also has anyone tried the flip flop style croc? is it worth it/that much better than regular flip flops? www.crocs.com/crocs-crocband-flipswitch/11175,default,pd.html?cid=03Z&cgid=women-footwear
I attend last in 2009 and the sanuks I had were undoubtedly the best investmenti have ever made. Not only were they comfortable they held up well. But a small tip stay away from any fabric that is like cotton . The rain storm that year along with the mud made it impossible to completely clean them . Plus they were too funky to keep after washing rhem at home . This year I am doing Kingston sidewalk surfers a lot better material and plus there's a hidden pocket ;-).
My first Roo I wore boat shoes that did the job but they stunk so bad that they went from the garage to the trash. This year I'm going with the CarpeDM's and I'm pretty sure my feet will be comfortable. I just hope they don't follow the same fate as my boat shoes when I get home.
Its been stated countless times, and now that I own a pair I can attest to the greatness of this "shoe". The Sanuk 'Sidewalk Surfer' style shoe is literally the comfiest thing I've ever worn on my feet. I just got back from vacation and I did ALOT of walking on dirt, sand, pavement, asphalt, etc. This shoe was made for Bonnaroo!!

I think I've seen some discussion of this here, but I couldn't remember what the majority opinion was... for Sanuks, do they run big/stretch a lot? I'm a women's size 10 in most shoes with wide feet, but sometimes I do wear 9.5s, depends on the shoe. I would hate to buy 10s and have them stretch out and be sloppy, but I can't imagine fitting a 9 unless they run big. Any advice?
I'm gonna grab a pair of the new bright yellow Junebugs... I love these!

im barefoot at most fests, unless its like rothbury and i find myself in hiking shoes.
sanuks ive worn so far: my first pair of sanuks was the kitty hawk.. i liked them at the time but have since liked every pair better, that winter i went with a pair of waterproof fuzzy inside ones that i dont remember the name of, last summer i had a pair of scribble (my fav so far) then moved onto laurel chill which were awesome i just wish were waterproof like my first winter pair, then most recently i bought a pair of the carpe dm and love them so far.
as far as flip flops ive had about 6 pairs of the fraidy cat in all colors including multicolored, i dont think id buy another style flip flop unless they stop making them
Has anyone tried cheap canvas shoes from target or walmart? Canvas shoes aren't usually my style, so I don't want to pay a ton for a shoe I'll only wear a few times.
