If anyone is signed up for jackthreads, they have a great deal on these Native shoes shop.nativeshoes.com/v5fmsnet/OeCart/OeFrame.asp?SXREF=4&CurPath=1&PMSESS1=58297 . I searched and the last mention of these was 2 years ago in this thread so I was wondering if anyone had tried them. I think they would be the perfect roo shoe.
Everything gets hot. I never felt like my feet were overwhelmingly hot in my Sanuks, but if you're really worried about it, you could try out the Sanuk Holy Molys. Well ventilated, great shoe.

Last year was my first Roo and I brought crocs, sneakers, etc. In the end, I was most comfortable in my $2 old navy sandals.
From what I read, everyone on here is going with Sanuks, but I was wondering if there is anyone who wore Toms. I practically live in mine at home, and figured they'd be perfect for Roo. Any thoughts?

^^This. I keep telling all the first timers I am bringing along this year, wear what you are used to and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Last year I got talked into wearing sneakers (after wearing flops all the time the year before) and I got blister bubbles the size of cherries on both of my big toes.
I've worn my Carpe DMs so much in the past year that they already need to be replaced. The bottoms have been worn smooth so I slip on flat surfaces. I'm sure they'll be fine at the farm, but not out in the real world. Now to decide which kind to get...
i posted this in the deals thread already but i wanted to post here for a quicker response as to which is the best one to get. i want to wear a pair without socks, and would prefer shoes and not flip flops.
Onsale.com has a 25% off deal on all of their sale shoes. they have pretty much all sanuks on sale there(everyone says they are the best) unfortunately the CarpeDMs are not part of the sale. please let me know which would be the best for roo out of this selection. www.shoes.com/en-US/Mens/_/Sanuk/_/On+Sale/Products.aspx
Plimsolls for the dry days, Bean boots for the wet days.
I get my plimsolls from Kmart (well, Aussie Kmart) and I buy them up a couple of pairs at a time (fueled by the paranoia that one day they will stop stocking them). Cheap, light and damn well comfy. Also, they dry out pretty quick if they do get wet.

I haven't found the perfect shoes for me. I have found some that are the worst for me though. I have this pair of sketchers that I refer to as my curt schilling shoes. They always rub my ankles to bloody status. The funny part is I forget that they do that until I look down wondering what happened.

I'm actually thinking of wearing my Toms for roo...I'm in mine all the time and they NEVER rub or irritate my feet. And they're surprisingly supportive despite being a "thinner" shoe.

Love the Schill reference! Maybe they to could lead to winning 3 World Series.
Oh and just bought my first pair of Sanuks, due entirely to this message board, and can't wait to break them in

i have reef flip flops. i'm not trying to be mean but i could never see my self in crocs or any shoe like that.. i had slip on cute little red sneakers last year. and i'll prob just bring shoes i've been wearing. its hot, i'll be hot, i'll get over it. you know?
I recently bought Crocs Duet Sport. I'm breaking them in now and they are the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned (and I've owned other kinds of crocs). These are like walking on a cloud and will make Bonnaroo so much easier this year. Plus they are super easy to clean during the day.

I wanted to grab a new pair of sanuks but it doesn't seem to be in the budget this year. My old ones are beginning to get tattered and I wore a hole in the bottom of one, so looks like I'll be relying on crocs once again. Not so bad, they really are the perfect shoe for the fest
I've seen a lot about Sanuks on here. What about Tevas? I need a back strap on my sandals. I'm a complete klutz so not walking out of my shoes to face plant is one less worry I need
No nothing beats the walking on air effects of sanuks, not even clouds in the heavens can beat the experience your feet will endure while walking on the farm with anything less than Sanuks. Nothing is better, and never again should anything else but Sanuk's be in your mind, maybe try the Carpe Diem :
