Do any of you girls have the Sanuk yoga slings? They look really comfy, I just worry that the fabric might stretch and they'll become really loose from so much walking. Any opinions/reviews would be welcome!
i dont think the material would stretch. i just ordered a pair from Nordstrom to try on, the material seems very stretchy. I just don't think they looked good on my feet so they went back.
Also last year I had some Chuck Taylor's on the farm I believe. They were pretty fucked up after, but still wearable. I don't remember being too uncomfortable either.

I'm sure those are pretty comfortable. Thinking about ordering a pair myself. I know their other ones that look less like normal shoes....the sidewalk surfer things are really comfy and I've always enjoyed them. I'm assuming these ones are good too.
I need to find something better I think. I like Sanuks but they don't have the support I need for festivals, plus they get really swampy really fast. My hiking boots did not work out well for Shakey Knees at all, my feet were killing me halfway through everyday. I like wearing my Birkenstock, but those only work on days I know there isn't going to be any rain and I'm scared wearing them on days when I'm in positions my foot might get stepped on.
I swear by my chacos on the farm. this will their 6th trip to the farm (same pair!). They shed mud easily, allow your feet to dry if you go traipsing through the fountain or other water cool down goodness. the are more supportive and secure to your feet better than a pair of flip flops, and very durable. plus you get some pretty cool tan lines.

Great discussion going on... Here i am going to tell my story. I am a waitress in a hotel, while going to hotel i have to walk long for the catching bus and also a hectic walk based day from customer to customer. God have tuned my feet with very sensitive material and it always got a cut from shoe. I bought from workshoecity.com/ and now i am comfortable with my job and my shoe as well.
I just bought a pair of these Vivobarefoot Ultra Pure's. Lots of backpackers use these as their camp shoes. Better protection AND about the same weight as the cheap, thin flip flops. $60 but will be used for camp shoes, water sports, etc.

Advice for anyone wearing socks...stay away from cotton and bring foot powder. I wear boots with synth-wool socks and sneakers with polypro and trade off each day to let them air out. Powder your feet and powder inside your shoes. Keep your feet happy and you will stay happy.
I wish one of these articles would tell me how to get my $20-$50 per pair
That said, they really are perfect for 'Roo! Assuming it doesn't rain (squishy shoes are kinda gross) they're great because they air out well, keep your feet safe, and get funny looks which is always fun
I just googled "vibram class action" and about the 4th link was to fivefingerssettlement.com. As the settlement is not final yet, the refund amounts are subject to change.
WORST DECISION EVER. I wear them all the time and they are typically very comfortable, but with all the stones on the roads... I might as well have gone barefoot. My feet were aching so bad, by the time I went back to my tent I nearly collapsed. Next year, they will not be making the trip with me. I've never worn my Toms at Roo, but I assume they would be pretty much the same, so they will not travel with me either.
I did buy a pair of knockoff Rainbow flip flops at target that I wore the majority of the time, and they were pretty comfy, but the soles could be a little softer. I think I'll buy a real pair of Rainbows for next year.
I wore my hurricane tevas. they are not broke in. i never once had a problem with them and never got rubbed raw. also they held up pretty well when the mud at kanye got the better of me. the guy i was with lost his flip flops bc they broke from the mud incident. #TEAMTEVA

These were amazing during the fest. Blindly stomped right in a mud puddle Thursday night and just quickly rinsed them off at a water supply. Super comfy, light weight and still had toe protection from people walking by.

I brought three pairs of shoes with me to Roo this year, along with a last minute rain boot purchase. Two pairs of Sanuks in different styles and my tried and true pair of New Balance quasi-hiking old man shoes. I started off with my pair of "Donnie" style Sanuks, and I never got the chance to try anything else all weekend. They were insanely comfortable. At Lolla last year, my feet would be sore the morning after for about 20 minutes. That never happened at Bonnaroo with these shoes. They navigated rocks, dirt roads, and grass with ease. They held up in mosh pits for Cloud Nothings and Ty Segall and almost fell off twice, but kept my precious toes mostly protected. They even navigated shallow mud pits with relative ease. The only pain I had all weekend was some minor back pain, but I think that may have been mostly and improperly strapped Camelbak.

I wore JC sandals the first day. It was a terrible decision. They didn't work for me at all.
I tried out a pair of cheap sanuk flip flops the second day. Also a terrible decision.
With my feet in complete discomfort (to the point where I could barely walk and was actually limping) from the previous 2 days, I tried out a pair of Sanuk sidewalk surfers in an attempt to save my festival. They were amazing. I will never not wear Sanuk sidewalk surfers to Bonnaroo anymore.

What i would recommend you is buy branded shoes from workshoecity. last year i was in search fro quality slip resistance shoes and bought a pair of skidbusters from them. I was really please with their performance and they are worth every penny I spend on them.
I'd lurked on this thread before I finally signed up today, thought I'd finally chime in that I usually wear flipflops every year. It wasn't until this past year after Vampire Weekend that I finally lost one in a surprise mudpit. Otherwise I've always gotten along just fine!
This was my biggest question for my first festival.... Dont want to trash good shoes but also dont want to get sandals stuck in the mud! Was surprised how many people were barefoot!
Last year, I brought a pair of sturdy hiking boots and also some flip flops. Ended up wearing the latter for like 90% of my time on the Farm. People might tell you not to wear flip flops, but I would argue the opposite, as long as they arent the plastic kind that gives blisters easily.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I wear these flip flops to almost every festival I go to... it's like walking on air. They never get hot from the sun and they always keep my feet comfortable, no matter how long I stand. I highly recommend them. You can get them just about anywhere (Amazon, Dick's Sporting Goods, etc). I've gone through a lot of flip flops, but these are the best for music festivals, imo:
