Like everyone else said...listen to anything before float on and tell me modest mouse isn't good. As for not enjoying the Mars Volta. There is a few reasons, but first you must understand i love their albums and was super excited about seeing them. But they were late first off, then the power dies 30 seconds into the set and then the lead singer goes off on some crazy ass rant. Then they really start to play...finally. and he's jumping around putting the mic stand in his mouth walking around....just seemed like they were trying way to hard to be "new" and "different". but anyway's that's my reasons for what i said. oh yeah and sorry for not using real words....there not as fun lol
Dude, Keith, did you read my first reply to what you said?!? I specifically explained how I a person can criticize a band's music, but not their live show. Once again, I did comment on Justin Timberlake, and Yanni, I admitted that they suck but I have no right to talk about their live show. Same goes for MCR. And I told you before, I NEVER, EVER suddested that anyone should kill themselves. I saw that post as well, it was in the MCR thread, but it was never stated by me. I don't think I've ever told anyone to kill themselves ever, that's pretty messed-up and also counter-intuitive to my religious beliefs. The fact that this is the second time you've accussed me of this has upset me, its slanderous and false.
I like to think that all my posts are reasonable and educated, and I don't post anything that is meant to be insulting or cause problems. I think the problem is more or less with how you interpret what I say. If you're going to comment on me, or the things I say, make sure you understand them next time.

This further proves my point about your inability to understand semantics. You are allowed to want something you don't like to be removed, but it becomes selfish when the thing you want to be removed is something that other people enjoy. A wart, and your penis, both pretain to you, and you exclusively (you could argue otherwise, but the bottom line is, a wart bothers you and satisfies no one; live music on the other hand . . .), these are personal issues and not analagous to the situations I was discussing earlier.

i agree with you... the penis and the wart was one of my favorite movies so i thought id throw it out there(someone somewhere probably has a wart fetish,who are we to take that away from them?) i was actually hoping that you would address the serious part of the post that i have quoted....how do your comments about the poor little kid who likes nuts gel with your comments about the poor little kid who like my chemical romance(i retract the suicide part of my statement as it is not neccesary to prove my point)

i know you will have some ridiculous explanation about how thats not wht your doing..... i can see the bands you dont like thing coming up in some weird way but i got news for ya...bonnaroo has lots of music options..i dont think people are seeking out acts they dont like so that they can be dissapointed and put it on your list....the fact that they were dissapointed at all would imply that they liked the artist and had some greater expectation for the show and are not wasting time seeing acts they dont care for

I don't know how strong your reading skills are, but under my name it says "Ithaca College". This is very far from the Communtiy College which you refer to. We are, in fact, a partner of Cornell, and were recently listed in the Top 10 Colleges in the Northwest by US News and World Reports. Wanna hear some of my statistics? I've taken more than just ONE class, i've taken dozens. In fact, I'm a double major in both Politics and Philosophy, so I think I have the background to comment on politics and the like. Last IQ test I took scored somewhere in the upper 180s (don't recall specifically, but I think it was 187). My GPA is 3.7 and I scored 1440 on the SATs. Now I am by no means trying to brag, but when someone makes comments on my education, I must inform them of who I am.
And as far as Buddhism goes, I highly doubt you know much about the innerworkings of the religion, so I don't see how you can comment on what is or isn't a buddhist ideal.
Frankly Keith, I'm pretty tired of seeing you comment on everything but fail to make an intelligent point about nearly any of it. I think a lot of people would agree that you cause more trouble than anyone, and most of it is because you either don't understand, or don't articulate yourself well enough. I've seen you call people idiots, seen you rant and rave and make d*ck comments to all kinds of people. You say a lot of sarcastic things and clearly some things which are meant to cause trouble.
So that's about all I have left to say to you, Keith. What are you, the investigative journalist of inforoo? Read what I wrote about those bands! I like everyone I put in the "worst category", but I found their performance (not their music) lackluster. And I'm not accusing anyone of seeking out music they don't like so they can comment on it. I am merely suggesting that many people claim they didn't like shows, when in actuality, they don't like the music, so of course they wern't going to like the show (most specifically people who didn't like the DMB show, but there are other examples). I'm calling people out, but I don't think I'm being hypocritical, I'm a fan of every artist I put up there.

And I wasn't bragging (I think I even said that), you attacked my intelligence and I needed to prove you wrong, which I think I did. I don't claim to be the smartest person on this message board. I'm not running around braggin about IQ or where my college is ranked, but you claimed I went to Community College then insulted my intelligence; and it wasn't until then that I mentioned that quality of my school and my IQ.
I've known about bonnaroo since before DCFC, Dave, Modest Mouse, and Radiohead hit the scene. I followed all the info since '03, but couldn't go then because I was "too young" and then missed '04 b/c it conflicted with my Senior Week. I made '04 and I bought my '05 ticket thet literal minute it went on sale. I went in '05 to see Jack, Keller, Toots, J5, Bela and the like; i'm only a partial fan of DMB (i hate Dave solo btw), Modest Mouse (whom I haven't listened to since that poor show), and Radiohead. I don't like DCFC and will not be at their stage this year. I'm not a punk-newcomer, I know my stuff.
Bottom line dude, there's no way I look as dumb as you on this message board. I have a much higher command of language, my grammar and punctuation are on point, and I think my points are of good reason and those that a person of high intellect would concur with. Usually what I say is educated and well-thought. I'm not suggesting that these things make me smarter than you, but they certain are good indicators of intelligence.
You jump to a lot of assumptions when you write on here dude. You take what people say and hyperbolize it. Not just in your last posts to me, but in others.
Now here's the mean part, comperable to you making me out like a snot nosed prick and all: You're ridiculous and don't seem anything like an adult; not just in your writing, but in mentality as well. You're nearly 30 years old? I think that's a lie. I'm shocked you raise a child. Haha this is pretty entertaining. In general I actually enjoy your comments most of the time keith. You say things that nobody else would say but need to be said. Not as far as flaming people but it seems like anything said that isn't 100% positive about 'roo gets people all over your back. The bickering in this thread has gone too far though. Someone should just be the bigger man and step away.

Clutch, myself and others have bothered to use reasoned critique here and you (Keith) use name-calling, snap judgments and total contradiction. You snort that you have not had your opinion heard and yet whenever anyone brings up reasoned arguments you completely ignore the questions or ideas therein.
Clutch and others-- I'm sorry we have wasted our time with him-- I don't even agree with everything you all have said but you've made very good arguments and I can respect that. Someone on the boards pointed out that At the Drive-In was better than Mars Volta which I'd agree with. Too much musical wanking going on with Volta in my opinion. They should put their dicks back in their pants and play some music. Maybe they just need that drummer back...
