I saw Tom Waits in '06, the venue sold out within *5* minutes of the tickets going on sale, and he put on a very, very long set. I'd love to see him there. Headliner, though?
Anyone heard the new Nick Cave album, Grinderman? Hot damn... but he doesn't seem to play the US very often.
Grinderman is the best thing Nick has put together in years and years and years. I know he doesn't come here often with The Bad Seeds, but I think he'll have a U.S tour with Grinderman. Just a feeling.

i don't think harper has the draw to headline, though i am a big fan. he could deffinatly fit in the slot beck ahd last year though. or if he split headlining duties with jack johnson

interesting thought and good point...but i doubt jack johnson will be there...he hasn't even been mentioned in the rumors i've heard. harper has the potential to headline...we'll see in a couple of weeks though, eh?
Harper didn't headline in his past performances and I'd hardly say that his stock has risen since then. As much as I'd like to see him there, there's no way he'll be headlining in any fashion.

What about "Ben Harper & Friends" with Jack, Eddie Vedder... etc...
That could work...what if dave matthews was apart of the "& friends"...i'd be happy with that. and if the wailers played, whoa. that's almost too much excitement for me.

I personally cannot see Ben Harper headlining in any fashion. Possibly an afternoon set, possibly guestin with Pearl Jam but not the main draw. I think there is another headliner that, regardless of how well received, will surprise the hell out of us...
I think you're probably right Johnny. On the ACL boards we spent months speculating on who could be there, who wouldn't etc. etc. Even though we knew TP and Massive Attack were playing, Van Morrison was a big surprise (so few U.S. shows) as nobody had even mentioned him. It seems like EVERYONE who could play and headline has been mentioned on these boards.

Neil Young/PJ would rock! I do think that PJ will remind a lot of people how great they really are at RRoo 07... and Isaac, I remember keeping up with ACL just because I was still on my Bonnaroo high and Van the Man would have been unreal (on the level of Dr. john)
i can totally see AC/Superfly booking neil young/pj...that'd be crazy if they sat in on superjam...it might be the best superjam EVER. before the holidays, i heard rumors of james brown...but that won't be happening now...but it would have been AMAZING!
Patton Oswalt posted on his website that there might be a possible appearance by The Comedians of Comedy, which is him, Brian Posehn, Maria Bamford and Zack Galifinakis. Sweet lord, that would be awesome.
I may be wrong, but last year when a leak of the initial line-up was posted on Wikipedia, it seemed to be fairly correct, with the exception of people adding their own such as the Beatles, the Doors, Josh Hill Band, etc., so who knows. I was pretty shocked when I found out Radiohead was for real.

from what i've heard...ac entertainment had been working with radiohead for years to get them to play bonnaroo.
