im thinking that today would have been the announcement. so they threw us a bone and at least gave us a date. it helps a little with the torture. can you imagine if they had said nothing about a date. by feb 14 wed all be insane. but im guessing they need to keep the police reunion a "secret" for the stupid ass award show reunion. so today was a no go.

I'm pretty sure that we should start hearing stuff the night before from reputable sources - I'm thinking we should set some chatroom meetup time for like 9 eastern the night of the 13th.

Definatly, with this delay, and it looking like pearl jam actually wont be headlining, i'm 90% sure the police will be there. I dont know anything everyone else doesnt, its just the feeling i get from all this. And honestly, if losing pearl jam is what it took to secure the police, im good with that.
Ziggy, to be honest I had my heart set on both, so seeing that PJ is most likely not playing was a blow. However, I'm sure they'll pull in someone great and there are acts like Roger Waters/Gilmour/a few others I would take over even PJ. I still think both Pearl Jam and the Police could (have) play(ed). We'll see when the 10C at PJ.com makes their announcement.

I would definatly be disapointed if pj wasnt there, but they are a lot easier, and cheaper, to see on tour then The Police. I was definatly excited about pearl jam headlining, and still am. Cant count anyone out till the announcment.
Yeah, but from what I can tell it's tough to see them on tour if you aren't in the ten club, and if you join it now, you have a number way back so it's hard to get good seats.

Pearl Jam could still play. While it seemes less likely, I know why everyone is counting them out. Until 10 club announces anything, it is all speculation. The longer it takes them to announce anythign, and the closer we get to February 14th, the more likely I think it is that they will play.
I also have no idea why anyone would be dissapointed with the Police playing.
Yeah, as much as I had my heart set on seeing PJ at Bonnaroo this year, if they were bumped to make room for The Police, I have no problem with it. I've seen them live before, and I'll definitely be seeing them again. Plus, they could always play Bonnaroo next year.

I am still holding on to hope that both will be there. If that happens, you can have the people who run Superfly come out and sh*t on the stage for three hours as Sunday's headliner, and I wouldn't even care.

The link I seen had PJ playing in Poland on june 13th,which is the wednesday before. They very well could play that date and then perform at Bonnaroo on Sat or sun.

maybe since everyone was so sure the line-up was going to be announced the 31st...they decided to make it 2 weeks later because they wanted to fool us all! i mean pretty much everyone, including wiki, was speculating the 31st. but regardless, at least we know when to expect the annoucement so i can stop thinking about it every second of the day.
although, i dont know if i really will stop.
and the grammy/police scenario is a good observation...i guess we'll see!
