lol...... i had that ironic feeling as i typed it. oh well. everybodies been wrong before. and in my own defense i havent listened to a radiohead album since bonnaroo. still not into it. but i listen to the roo show all the freeking time.
ive heard the same about incubus live shows. so maybe i shouldnt prejudge having not seen them live. but ive gotta draw the line somewhere. i dont need to see limp bizkit to know they blow.
Rumors that the The Police (music) plan to reconvene are heating up: Canadian radio station CFMI reported today (1/25) that the trio--Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland--plans to rehearse at Lions Gate Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia, for an upcoming reunion tour, the announcement for which is expected next month.
The station further reported that the group is "strongly rumored" to be opening this year's Grammy Awards telecast, which airs live on CBS Feb. 11 from Los Angeles' Staples Center.
Probably Why the announcment was pushed back waiting for the police to officially confirm ther reunion/Tour

Their plan is working perfectly. All attention has been drawn away from the Phish reunion.
This is one rumor that is just not cool. Where are people getting the idea that Phish is going to be at 'Roo? It would be absolutely monumental, but without some kind of reasoning it's at best wishful thinking. And while Phish would trump any artist at 'Roo(for me), I consider it unlikely for one major reason....
Phish had over 100,000 people at Big Cypress, Coventry and Lemonwheel...It seems self-indulgent that Phish would steal the thunder of 100 other bands at Bonnaroo if they could have their own reunion festival.
I would still give my (insert any appendage here) to see them...
This is gonna be the longest 2 1/2 weeks of my life. Even waiting to go to Roo isn't this bad, cause you're getting sh!t together and planning stuff. We have nothing to do, but speculate, and wait. And for me, I keep thinking how great that Coachella line-up is.
ive heard some talk that coachellas going to even shorter sets. an hour dosent even give rage and rhcp time to play thier hits. and thats the headliners. most of the other sets are even shorter. thats my main complaint. hardly worht the expensive ticket and the cross country trip for me. and the line up isnt for me anyways. but id love to see rage. but not an hour set. hopefully they will tour.

Personally, I think Coachella's lineup is absolutely ill! But I could not agree more about the set times. Who wants to see Rage reunite for an hour?! That was my main complaint about Lolla as well. Sick lineups, but rediculously short sets and overlapping sets. For most of us 'Roovians an hour is nowhere close to a "show"....

the shorter sets with coachella is one of the downfalls and the long sets is a great thing for the roo. That coachella line up looks great though. An hour of bjork and others hopefully want look that great after Feb.14

I've heard the opposite about Coachella-- that part of their expanding to 3 days is to allow for longer sets each day. I don't think they'll be going to Bonnaroo standards, but everything will probably be expanded by about 10 or 15 minutes (average).

So, I'm still aching about PJ. And now that they're out we all seem to agree that the "leaks" are bunk. That said, can we please get Arcade Fire?!!! They would blow Bonnaroo away! And with open headliner spots, it seems likely that WSP or Dave could be in the mix and we all know how I feel about that....but I'm always down to compromise!
Coachella's sets are always shorter than Roo's (45 minutes for the undercard), but their headliners have never been restricted to an hour, they get at least 90 minutes. Part of their problem is that the city puts a midnight curfew on them and they pay a fine if they go over. I forget who it was but in 05 one artist went over and told the crowd he'd pay the fine himself, but they pulled the plug anyway.
prodigy and chemical bros and depeche mode are the only hour and a hlaf sets in the last 2 years. tool ,coldplay, and nin only got an hour and 15. and the rest are all an hour or 45 minutes. well madonna got 50 minutes. lol

Supposedly last year Maynard, having decided that Tool would play past their 75 min. allottment, told the crowd how much it would cost Coachella per minute. I'm guessing they didn't like that.
