So I wondered what you guys thought.. If the Police were there, what about the Killers opening for them? I know they're mainstream, but Superfly has shown interest in them (Vegoose) and are big but not big enough here to be headlining the festival. Also, I think their music would flow a little better into the Police than Incubus or anyone else I've thought of so far.

I would love to see the killers...I really enjoyed Hot Fuss. David Byrne would be awesome but The Talking Heads would be a dream come true(yes i know it wont happen) Incubus is cool live but I just dont see superfly seeking them out. Just my two cents.

I think David Byrne would be perfect to open for The Police. I can think of a few bands who would lead into the police pretty well, but they arent big enough.

They closed the second stage in '05, and this new album can only make them a bigger name. So honestly the time slot you are saying is unrealistic. They will be in one of three spots, and that is it:
Preheadliner (Main stage) Close down the second stage one day or, and I hope so... Late night
The first single, Dashboard, is catchier than any of their past singles, so I see them being a much bigger draw this year, compared to '05.
I was wondering what the link between the Police and Incubus is also.....
Personally I love Incubus - all of their music old and new, and would be on cloud 9 if they played ;D
Copeland plays with them now and then, and they play a buttmunch of Police songs. That's all. And though I don't like the thought of them being at bonnaroo, they really are a decent band. I don't care much for their new stuff, but they do have a very solid sound and are rather impressive live. In no way should they be compared with Nickelback. Ever.
i saw an article where beck walked in this mexican restaurant unnannounced in east l.a., kind of took over the already playing mariachi band and played a full set of folk songs and the whole place had no idea who he was, someone took a picture and it made it to the media. would have been a cool beck show to catch
