That email doesn't sound assuring that Volta will be there, but at least there's some confirmation on more artist additions "and they should be good ones" wow that kinda get me excited

Even if they don't add them this year, we should keep this thread going so that next year it will be like 50 pages long. And we'll have a head-start. Hehe.
^ Yes I agree. Even if we're still using this thread after Roo, and it's moved, we can get it moved back for next year. That'll look good to the Superfly peeps.

Man, I was really hoping to wake up today and see Omar and Cedrics faces on bonnaroo.com.
Still nothing.
That e-mail response is very interesting. I'm still very optimistic about it. TMV holds much more weight now than it did in '05, so seeing them announced as a "bombshell" makes sense. I can't wait to see the action in this thread if they do get announced. 20 pages here we come.

When Mars Volta is added, I buy my ticket. If they are not added, I will buy my ticket at the last minute, it's what I did last year, with the exact same reasoning: "No Mars Volta, no Ty going to Bonnaroo.... oh wait, this is Bonnaroo.... what am I thinking?!?" (buys ticket)

i think that we should start sending money bribes to superfly, i mean if everyone throws in a couple nickels i bet we could get a buck or two. They would have to add them.
Does anyone with Superfly check the forums? For like AR or anything? If so, I don't know how they couldn't have picked up on the high Mars Volta demand by now.

Mars Volta were terrible on my Coachella DVD, and i know several people that saw them live and can attest to the fact that they suck in concert. Just sayin, I've never been. They are an alright band otherwise, a bit pretentious and unfocused, but talented nonetheless.

They're called The Mars Volta. Some kind of Mariachi band I think.

Lets just hope it doesn't take that long before they grace the 'Roo with their presence again.
If they do get added this year, I would assume that they will get the Friday late night (right after TOOL). It just makes the most sense. That beign said, I would be pissed to miss the Roots (and yes I know Roots aren't officially late night Friday, but they will be), but god damn, it would create the best run of late nights Bonnaroo had ever seen.
Also, the one thing missing from Friday night right now, is the big indie approved band, so we have hope. The late nights would then shape up to this:
Hopefully I would be able to catch some Roots after Volta, and then head ove to STS9 who no doubt will still be playing. Saturday would be much of the same theory, I would see the Lips, head over see the rest of Mule, and then party with Sasha & Digweed for awhile.
Even if Volta is not added, I think we will see some big indie thing for Friday night (Interpol, Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, etc.) God I hope I'm right!
