I guess pretty much what you'd expect, the standard response:
Thanks for your interest in the 2008 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. At this point Mars Volta is not included in our lineup, but the artist lineup on our website is not the final lineup. There will be many more bands added in the upcoming months. Stay tuned to www.bonnaroo.com for the latest updates...and here's a direct link to the lineup so far:

Guys I just can't imagine they didn't get Volta after seeing all the dedication you all have put into this thread. Bonnaroo has not done me wrong in 3 years so I have faith still I guess.
Just bought the new Omar album, "Calibration". Its good and you all should go out and buy it! The only places I know that carries it are FYE and Best Buy, but I assume you can find it at your local independent record stores as well.
I really hope they're there but I'm seeing them in April anyways. So either I'll be crushed I won't get to see them again soon or I'll be extremely happy I finally got to see them in the first place.
Bedlam has made fans out of quite a few of my friends, people who really disliked TMV a few months ago. I guess people really like the more digestible Volta? I'm still more a fan of Frances The Mute-stylings than Deloused type stuff, and Bedlam seems perfectly right in between. It's damn near perfect, in spots.
Not saying the album is perfect, but I think TMV's getting closer to where their true niche is.
Ah here we go, another Comatorium thread of interest. A Bonnaroo one.
On page two a Coma member gets an email from that New York Times writer mentioned earlier in this thread that in the press release The Mars Volta was one of the bands to play at Bonnaroo 2008.
This possibly means that in the next couple of artist additions, we are more than likely to see The Mars Volta added to the line-up.

So I posted this else where but thought I would share it here too. There is a spring tour and it seems that they are doing Europe first. Leaving the summer wide open.

I'm there for the ATL show. The last show at The Tabernacle was...wow. That venue was made for this band. And I'm going back to Columbus for the make-up show. It's gonna be a great April.
And then of course we will be in full effect when they are announced for Bonnaroo this year. WHEN, not IF. (In my dreams.)

Well I was hoping for an addition to the lineup before tickets go on sale and The Mars Volta is one of few bands that will have me buying tickets without giving it much thought as I am currently undecided. So I truly hope the Volta is added. I will probably go anyway, but I really want to take this band in live, so come on Super Fly, don't let me down.
