It's killin me that they have to play out in CA. The 05 roo show was the one and only time I've seen them. I'm dyin to see em again. If they don't play roo, at least bring to the east coast!
I've been in love with Volta since De-Loused, and have caught every album-promting tour since, but i missed Bonnaroo o5. Fortunately, i have their performance on DVD <3
I wasn't like, bummed out that they weren't on the initial line-up, but it was one of the first bands i thought of on the topic of "who would you like to see added?"

Yeah man, That show was insane! I'd really like to see it again! How can I get a copy?
It was circulating pretty heavily after Roo '05. I actually popped it in the other day and remembered how sub-par the quality was. Its just a single-shot cam with muddy audio. Unfortunatlely there's not a plethora of good TMV boots floating around like many other bands.
On another note.... They'll also be releasing an official DVD this year. I'm pretty sure the first Aussie date is coming up (12th or 13th), so I'll be keeping my eyes open for recordings. I'm very interested in hearing Pridgen on stage with them.
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!

The only TMV dvd that I have is a bootleg. Most of the clips are pretty muddy but, the Aussie shows are crystal-clear and amazing! They really need to release an official disc since their live shows are quickly becoming legendary!
I'm a huge Frusciante fan, so this is one of my favorite bootlegs.
It's Frusciante, Flea, and Omar Rodriguez.
Amazing quality, audio is top notch, and it's either 2 or 3 cameras, professionaly shot.
Peon is otherworldly!
As far as The Mars Volta @ Bonnaroo goes, yeah, the quality isn't anything to write home about, but after missing that year, it's still really great to have!
I got the Bonnaroo boot from a Buckethead forum.
Also, let us not forget the Live @ The Electric Ballroom dvd. It's an official release...uhm...isn't it?
If you REALLY REALLY want the dvd, u can PM me and maybe we can work out a swap, though i gotta warn, it takes me a while to get to the post office. Maybe since i'm new here, it will inspire me to get to the post quicker, though, who knows. ???

I didn't know that there was a "Scabdates" DVD and I've only been able to find a VHS copy of "Live at the Electric Ballroom". Where can I get them? I tried Amazon and EBay but, no luck.

That Flea, Omar, John piece is one of my personal favorites. They produce some really thick tunes. For a long time I really thought they were working towards some sort of release. The John/Omar GSL Vinyl didnt even come close to satisfying my need for such a thing.
Unfortunately for the first time in years I had a big time problem with my OS. I'll be reinstalling windows on my PC when I get a chance, and then back to inforoo daily. I just had to sign on today for 2 reasons. 1) Less than 100 days now . 2) Ran across my absolute favorite picture of Omar that I've ever seen.
