^^As much as I love The Mars Volta (a tie for my favorite band with MMJ) I will not be excited for this show until they are on the stage. I got burned three different times trying to see them last year only for them to cancel. Once they finally made up the show it was worth it, but I can't get my hopes up.
yeah, victim of the columbus cancellations here...then when they played the show wasn't all that impressive. probably the venue and the poor sound, but i just couldn't get into that much. roo 05 was waaay better. i'll give them another chance perhaps, but i am not holding out much hope
i think they would have to cut the power on them. tmv won't stop on their own. if they cut the power on them it will be the last time we ever see tmv at bonnaroo.

Your right but i think this is the last time they will be there regardless..
Personally, if I had the power to change around the schedule:
I would switch Animal Collective and Ben Harper's time slots I would move The Mars Volta to Nine Inch Nails' current spot I would move Nine Inch Nails to the main stage
However, I know I posted a link of Cotopaxi, but a few days ago, the radio rip of "Since We've Been Wrong" leaked, and earlier today two more album cuts ("With Twilight As My Guide" and "Desperate Graves").
Not going to listen to any non-single song til the entire album leaks.
Also I think that their set time for roughly an hour and 40 minutes will definetly bring out their jam side. Usually with festival shows they like to play a shorter amount of songs and jam them out. Which personally would love to see because I know they would blow away non-believers with that.

Question:
For TMV, I want to get a spot about right in front of the sound booth. However, I will be seeing of Montreal before that. Will I still be able to get the spot I want?

I love all these questions that start coming up once the schedule gets released. It seems like I see a new one in every thread - somebody asking "If i leave this many minutes will I get a good spot"?
Honestly.......there isn't any real way of knowing until we get there. It depends on crowd size and time spent. Plus everyone's idea of a "good spot" is different. As far as being in front of the sound booth.....you may be okay. There's a lot of time between of montreal and TMV........i'd say get right to the which stage and sit down after of montreal
I'd prefer FTM, personally... and even Amputechture in whole over Deloused in whole...
I don't really have a burning desire to see This Apparatus or Inertiatic ESP, two of my least favorite songs by the band. However, the rest of the album... fantastic. There I said it... I don't think Deloused is perfect.

The first time I saw them they played whatever....no album stuff really - just whatever was coming out! It was pretty amazing, and I felt blown away. Really loved that!

I'd prefer them to play a mix of all things, if they played deloused all the way we wouldn't see things like Eunuch and the extended Cygnus of last year. however, i did not see any of de-loused back in september and it would be awesome if they played some.
They played the Coachella movie in HD on Paladia the other day. TMV's performance is during the day on it and I thought the energy was still there. I like the idea of seeing them during the day since Ive never seen them that way before. Dont get me wrong, its a trip to see them in the dark with their lights and stage setup... but it will also be cool to see Omar and Thomas groove in the daylight.
