Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
maybe you should give them a chance for more than 2 songs
i've also listened their albums, didnt like those either, but everyone was raving about their live performance, so i decided to check it out.. just not my thing.. at all
My Personal Bonnaroo Hell would proceed like this:
1. ICP 2. Green Day < Their early stuff I used to like, then I saw them destroy John Lennon's greatest protest song Working Class Hero. I think he's still spinning in his grave. 3. MY Chemical Romance 4. AFI 5. Avril Lavigne 6. 50 Cent 7. Maroon 5 8. Fall Out Boy 9. T.I. And T-Pain
With a special appearance by the Real Worlders and NEXT Bus.

the Red Hot Chili Peppers should never, ever play Bonnaroo
;o i love RHCP
I really just don't, and they would probably have to be a headliner, which would mean I wouldn't have another band to watch at the time! I know a lot of people would probably like it, but they just don't feel like a bonnaroo band to me, let them headline Lollapalooza or Coachella instead.

man i was the biggest RHCP fan up until Californication. I think rehab ruined that band. But so be it, I guess if they have to suck so Anthony can live it's ok (dripping with sarcasm). It's just a shame though, they used to be so funky and wild, even George Clinton produced an album. They were the perfect mix of funk and rock for me and they did Sly covers.. does it get any cooler?
Same thing happened with James Hetfield IMO... quit drinkin, started believing people when they told him he was god and said hey fuggit i can make southern rock/nu-metal if i want.. I'M JAMES honkey donkey HETFIELD. In the meantime old fans are like wait what? you guys used to melt faces and make me drive 25 mph over the speed limit when i rocked to your stuff.. wtf is this?
people change though.. guess i can't blame em. i'm not into the same stuff when i was in my teens. alls i know is i miss the funk from the peppers and i miss the thrash from metallica.. what can you do.. listen to old albums and be nostalgic.

U2 should never be at Bonnaroo. My number one for sure, I f'n hate U2. RHCP in a close second, i love John and Flea, but as a band they just dont do it for me anymore.
Although I know it's best to just walk away from this thread I just can't fathom the hatred for U2. I can understand not being a fan because everything strikes people differently but they are one of the most amazing live acts. (And I've seen a helluva a lot of live performances.)
Especially in a year with a reunited 80's act headlining, a sincerely lengendary band that has stuck it out and consistently performed and evolved live and in the studio for twenty-five plus years should be a dream addition. They have consistently challenged themselves and their audience and, unlike some of their peers, have continued to perform live on a regular basis.
So, to sum up: Not a fan -- that's cool, to each his own. Should never perform at Bonnaroo -- that I don't get.

good charlotte fall out boy blink 182 more bands like that
How can you all say violent metal/punk bands would be bad? I know that if Gwar played that all of you would show up. Also, don't hate on wsp and ac dc.
People that should play: Gwar MC Hammer Wu-Tang Clan Yonder Mountain String Band A Flock of Seagulls Men without Hats
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."
The only band I would say is Coldplay. I can tolerate almost anything, but there is not one single redeeming thing about that band. Absolutely terrible from all angles.
I could name a lot of bands that would never be on Bonnaroo but thats kinda stupid.

as much as i like them....rage against the machine would be an awful fit for bonnaroo. so would the punkier bands along the lines of NOFX and whatnot. i would see them at other places, just not bonnaroo

Here's two names I haven't seen posted yet (albeit i didn't look too terribly hard through the 3 pages):
Gwen Stefani Hanson
But then again, the chances of this ever happening are about the equivalent of the entire inforoo population agreeing on whether or not Tool should be at Bonnaroo this year.

I would actually love to see all of those bands at Roo, except for Nickelback... and maye Kanye, but I wouldn't be opposed to him being on the schedule, i just might not see him. All the others, I'd probably be in the audience.
I thought I remembered them playing, but when I checked the lineup list on the Roo site I couldn't find them so I thought maybe I was mistaken, but if Dan says so, it must be so.

Anyway, yeah....thats about it.
their guitarist is very good.
Then he should put some of that good into the music, because I havent heard a single hint of talent from anything that they've done. I consider them the most thoroughly awful musical failure in history.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
As your attorney I advise you to drive at top speed and it'll be a Goddamn miracle if we get there before you turn into some kind of wild animal. Are you ready for that? Checking into a Las Vegas hotel under a phony name with the intent to commit capital fraud with a head full of acid? I certainly hope so...
They were supposed to play after Guster I believe, I was there waiting cause my wife like them. I think the official excuse was the singer had some throat problems.
