Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
anything in the pop charts...ewww. My Chemical Romance!! I had to sit through the entire MCR set to get a good spot for The Lips at voodoo fest. That was horrible:Screaming pre-teens everywhere, worst live performace ever!
You see what's funny about this thread is that all Bonnaroo people pride themselves on being so open to so much music...but here everyone is being a bunch of elitists.
I would imagine somewhere there's an American Idol (ewwww) bulletin board....and I would bet there's NOT a "Who should never be at Idol" thread....think about that.
Oh and by the way....I'm betting the super secret TBD show is Sanjaya!

A to the MEN my brother!
Its like a comedian once said about how hippies claim to be super open and super tolerant but they will be superquick to judge someone and put them down. Like how many times have you heard a "hippie" call someone white trash. I mean come on you should love everyone right. Plus isnt roo just so damn big that if you didnt like the act that was playing you could move to the next tent? I mean I dont dig fountains of wayne, but it doesnt mean they should be there. It just means they are not my cup of tea.
Are we really trying to implement a policy of exclusion at Bonnaroo?
They were supposed to play after Guster I believe, I was there waiting cause my wife like them. I think the official excuse was the singer had some throat problems.
Yup Yup!! We were there too, my wife loved them at the time. that is what I heard, that the singers throat went out or something.
the funny thing is, that monday morning after roo, they perfromed on the Today show and did like 5 songs and he sounded fine....WTF?

Aside from Nickelback and James Blunt, those are all talented songwriters and performers.
This thread is like a "Let's see how hip we are" thread!
"I bet I hate pop music more than you!" "No, way, dude. I don't even like U2!" "Damn, you win. I only hate coldplay and Fall Out Boy."
I think you should add Gnarls Barkley to your list of exceptions. They are very innovative, which is rare for mainstream artists, but they aren't that great of song writers, or lyricists for that matter.

ITS THE FINAL COUNTDOWN! *dododo do dododdo do do dododo do dododo do do dodo*
I saw them open for Def Leppard at Red Rocks in about 1988 or 89, not sure which band is more embarrassing to admit. Either way none of them should ever be at Bonnaroo, someone should rip the Tennessee page out of their atlases (atlai?)

U2, RHCP, Coldplay I definitely agree with
Why the hate for Gnarls Barkley? Seems like people hate them cause they assume they are "mainstream" because of the song "Crazy". Danger Mouse is actually a massively respected underground DJ - they put on a great live show as well.
I saw gnarls open for RHCP in january. RHCP was great, they played lots of old school stuff. I wasn't feeling GB's live show at all although I love their music.
