That is pretty good news. PJ aren't at the top of my list for headliners I want, but I like them and it could be a lot worse (Tool for example).
Tool Rules! Top 10 Bands of the 90s;
1. Phish 2. Pearl Jam 3. Tool 4. Primus 5. Smashing Pumpkins 6. Rage Against the Machine 7. Dave Matthews Band 8. R.H.C.P. 9. Alice in Chains 10. Gov't Mule

but i guess in order i would like to see at bonnaroo this year it would have to be...;
1. Phish 2. Primus 3. Gov't Mule 4. Pearl Jam 5. Rage Against the Machine 6. Tool 7. Dave Matthews Band 8. Smashing Pumpkins (would be higher if it was THE Smashing Pumpkins) 9. Alice in Chains (ditto) 10. R.H.C.P.
I'm going to have to disagree with you there, I suppose I will get around to posting my list soon. I hope it wasn't you that took karma from me for what I said though :\

Classic Rock Possibilities:
Led Zeppelin (This would be not only the best thing to ever happen to Bonnaroo, but also the music industry in general, especially with the shape the music industry is in today compared to where it was when Zeppelin was in their prime, not to mention it would be one of the very best, if not the best, music festivals of all-time. I'm just having trouble believing it because of how fast tickets would go. I think because of Plant's stubborness, it will, infact, be just one Zeppelin show afterall. I'm led to believe that if they don't tour, it will because of Robert Plant.)
Roger Waters or Pink Floyd (I think this is almost on the level of Zeppelin, but not quite. In 2006 when I was at my hotel during the ACL Festival, I was watching something on tv, Pink Floyd playing a show, I think in London, and I know it had to be very recent at the time.)
Bruce Springsteen (The new CD and tour make me think they will be there, and seeing them have the two people from Arcade Fire join them, make me believe both will be there. I think this happens if Zeppelin or Clapton don't happen or something bigger doesn't happen.)
Eric Clapton (He's kind of my sleeper pick. He's also one of the greatest guitarists ever, that is still around today. It would be nice to have a blues legend as the headliner. But I'm not hearing or seeing too many people talk about the possibility of this happening. Just look at who he's been involved with musically. He has connections everywhere of people who have played at Bonnaroo, so obviously he knows about Bonnaroo. Plus, I love thinking about the possbility of hearing Layla and Cocaine at Bonnaroo.)
Neil Young (Did he headline the last time he played? I don't think he necessarily needs to.)
Alternative Possibility/Rumor/Unofficial confirmation:
Pearl Jam (If this turns out to be false, and I believe it's true, I think we will see Radiohead again, but I'm thinking Radiohead may happen in 2009.)
Jamband Possibilities: Phil Lesh and Friends or The Dead (Phil's going strong for his age and the year he has had with the cancer, and the lineups in his backing band resemble a super group almost, but I've never seen the Dead and that's why I hope for them. But Phil would be nice, however, I'd like to see Ryan Adams join them. I like Jackie Greene, but I like Ryan a lot more.)
Dave Matthews Band (I love them, I've seen them 22 times, but I don't think they're a crowd favorite at Bonnaroo. However, if they don't play, I won't be upset. I just think they'd be a great fit to close on a Sunday night.)
Trey Anastasio or Phish (I think Phish playing at Bonnaroo would be a great thing, but I think it's too early for a reunion. I'd like Trey to come back, as long as he doesn't put anything too bad in his body, meaning nothing that could kill him. I thought his late night 2005 show was awesome, with the exception of Matisyahu and Bo Bice, but who can say they didn't like the Abbey Road medley. That was my first Trey show, and I've never seen Phish, I got into them too late, although I am 26 years old.)
Allman Brothers Band (I just don't see them as a headliner unless Zeppelin plays, meaning Bonnaroo will have to fork out the money, thus, getting someone they may not have to pay as much as other possible Sunday headliners. I know they could headline, they can definitely jam long enough, but I don't think they're as much of a crowd favorite as the headliners need to be. And I don't understand that, because they are also a classic rock band, they've been around just as long as Zeppelin, the Dead and Pink Floyd. In my mind they are the Kings of Southern Rock.)

Allman Brothers could headline my festie anyday..But karma when i can..very in depth..and not just one sentance anymore. Much respect for northern KY schools. Simon Kenton WHAT??!
Their name's been thrown out there before, but Blind Faith's playing 3 shows at Madison Square in February. Might as well consider them a strong possibility.
Nice... much rather see that than Clapton solo... I've always said about Clapton that he's a great musician, but he's only good creatively in a band with other input.
I would like to see Clapton in the Superjam, thats for sure. Plus if Clapton was with some band of his and also doing to Superjam it might convince several of my friends to go to Bonnaroo. The more the merrier
but i guess in order i would like to see at bonnaroo this year it would have to be...;
1. Phish 2. Primus 3. Gov't Mule 4. Pearl Jam 5. Rage Against the Machine 6. Tool 7. Dave Matthews Band 8. Smashing Pumpkins (would be higher if it was THE Smashing Pumpkins) 9. Alice in Chains (ditto) 10. R.H.C.P.
Good list. I'd love to see RHCP as headliners, with Johnny having a solo set. Oh yeah.

For me Tool could headline every year and I would be completely fine with it, but then again I have been a fan since 93 so I am a bit biased. I would much rather see them then RHCP, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, and many others. IMO they are our generations Pink Floyd and they will be making great records for the foreseeable future.
One incarnation of Clapton that would be awesome, would be a reunion of Cream (even though one of the members passed away, it would still be bad ass to see them). Also Mars Volta could easily fill up the which stage late night and jam till 5 in the morning with different guests and what nots.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

Did I miss something? Because I do believe that all members of Cream are still with us. ???
