Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I think Bjork would be one of the all-time worst headliners of Bonnaroo... I think there would be a lot of people (including myself) that would question the integrity of the Roo if she was there...
Put Rodrigo y Gabriela up on the What Stage @ 9pm... let's see what 80,000 people singing WISH YOU WERE HERE would sound like. If you think the dust was bad at The Police, imagine what i'd be like with 80,000 getting down to some of flamenco jams.

I had a dream last night that I was at Bonnaroo, and they were selling records of the bands that were going to be there next year. They had Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and the Beatles. Obviously the Beatles are impossilbe, but Floyd and Zeppelin are...even though they are highly highly unlikely.

i'll steer clear of the zep/floyd conversation for now, but i must say that superfly will have to pull out something pretty amazing next year for me to go. I've been the last 4 but i'd like to see something that makes me feel 'WOW'. for that i would like to see any of the following:
1) Talking heads reunion 2) Phish reunion 3) Bowie or maybe the Boss
4) oh yeah, someone mentioned the beastie boys. I'd like to see them again and they'd be a good friday headliner i think.

Dylan wont headline. He didnt in 2004.. but the main reason is if he did, you'd get a police type show- i love dylan, but he isnt one to change up his setlists or do anything special. we'd get his typical show, which while good, wouldnt fill up the time slot.
my realistic headliners -
Friday- Pearl Jam Saturday - Springsteen Sunday - The Dead (would love to see Phish.. just dont see it though)

you know, I kinda like how it was this year, where me and my crew left Sunday night. So plz, if theres a Floyd or Zeppelin reunion, make it Saturday night.
"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio." -Hunter S. Thompson
I would love to see a Talking Heads reunion (I love love love them) but unfortunately I don't think David Byrne is up for it. I actually heard that they WANTED to do a reunion tour, and he nixed the idea
As for headliners, I don't even know. Every year Roo surprises me, and every year I leave happy
Radiohead back again would be great, especially if they did something unique like play OK Computer in its entirety. I'd like to see Bowie, with Arcade Fire being the pre-headliner and coming out for a few songs during Bowie's set. And I'd also love to see the triumphant return of Trey, doing a Trey & Friends set on Sunday night to close things out.
Friday: Beastie Boys (rap set, instrumental set, then rap extended encore)
Saturday: Pearl Jam
Sunday: Phil & Friends or The Dead featuring Bob Dylan, Trey Anastasio, John Scofield etc etc etc (mad high profile guests)
this is the most realistic/likely suggestion so far imo
Its tough to see what direction they will be going now with headliners after Radiohead and then Tool. The Dead (or Phil & Friends) and Widespread have held down at least one spot. I wouldn't miss them (not a fan of their 2007 incarnations), but its reasonable to assume one of them will be back. I'm a huge Trey fan but he's no longer big enough solo to headline (late night shows are where he fits now). DMB is always a possiblity, and they obviously headline if they play, but my sense is that Roo is moving in a different direction for headliners.
I would love to see Prince or Pearl Jam headline. Unrealistic perfect world headliners for me would be something like: Pearl Jam/Prince/Phish
^^I actually think Prince would make a lot of sense as a headliner even if people would bitch and moan about him playing. But you would have to sandwich him between something like PJ and Phish (or the Dead) to keep the hardcore Roo-ers from revolting...

Just though I'd throw something different in there. It's not Entirely far fetched. They weren't big enough as in record sales, but they do have a rather big fan base nonetheless.
They'd be perfect...if we all lived in 1991 when this "fan base" you speak of existed.
I think Bjork would be one of the all-time worst headliners of Bonnaroo... I think there would be a lot of people (including myself) that would question the integrity of the Roo if she was there...
Wait, exactly how would be she be one of the "all-time worst headliners" ? (I'm honestly open to hearing your opinion on this)
That just seems to be a little extreme to me. I really enjoy Bjork's music and I did question her place at roo, but upon further thought and seeing videos like this:
I think she could end up impressing A LOT of people and put on one hell of a show. As for questioning the integrity of Roo by having her there... well, a lot of people thought that about Tool too, and then changed their minds after seeing their performance...you never know. As Roo continues to grow and get more attention their integrity is going to come into question for someone, somewhere. I've pretty much accepted that and I've learned not to let one band cause me to question their entire integrity.

^^^^^ Damn Straight!
I would question Roo's integrity if the just kept spoonfeeding us the same 4 headliners over and over again. You have to admit the whole WSP, WSP, Trey, Dead, WSP, Dave, Dead, Trey, Dave, WSP, WSP, thing was getting really old.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
Flaming Lips really should get a headliner spot and Sunday would be perfect for them. As I watched them this past year all I could think was "this show is way too big for this stage."
Beastie Boys would make a great headliner also, no doubt about it. Then add in one reunion tour band and I think you have a perfect trifecta of headliners. So here is my dream lineup:
Fri: Beastie Boys Sat: Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin Sun: Flaming Lips
WSP can go play on the 2nd stage. They really aren't headliner worthy anymore imo.
