Hey, I don't have much ammo left here thanks to that pathetic display in the Rose Bowl.
Actually I was shocked Penn St. won. I think Tennessee was one of the best teams in the country this year. Last season was a total abberation. They just happened to play their worst game in the bowl....sounds familiar.

And yeah, that Paterno's such a sissy!
I think that we all had bad games for the "post season" of CFB. Hey, there is always next year.

There were at least two teams in the SEC that would dice OSU and Michigan in the championship. Send either of those teams down to the SEC this past year and they are 9-3 or 10-2 at BEST.
And while we're on the subject of the SEC...
HOW BOUT THEM GAME****S BABY!!!
While Music is my mistress, Sports is my passion. I do a college football radio show for WUSC 90.5 and Was at the Bowl Game in Memphis. I was drunker than Ted Kennedy in a Platinum Plus!
Anyway, No matter what we disagree back and forth about, I think everyone can Agree that the Boise St. Oklahoma game was the best college football game I have seen in at least 5 years. I could watch that game everyday for one full year and still not get sick of it.

I do have a soft spot for Tennessee. I actually went to a game at Neyland a few years ago. It was a night game vs Rutgers. Rutgers actually returned the opening kickoff for a td and was winning at half, but the Vols put them away. Kelly Washington had a shitload of yards.
As much as I love going to Michigan games in Ann Arbor, and I really do love it, the atmosphere in Knoxville was something I've never experienced. We walked around quite a bit before the game so we got to see a lot of the campus, the book store with checkerboard ceilings, and orange, orange and more orange! We even found a nice little nook next to one of the buildings on campus where we could blaze. But of course the #1 component of a great atmosphere is the people. Everybody we ran into was extremely friendly and spirited. It seems like they really had a knack for making you feel at home, even when it was probably pretty obvious that I was no where near home! And last but not least....the girls were absolutely amazing! Seriously, everywhere you looked there were beautiful girls. That was a great day!

Hey, I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier, but do any of you have any ticket connections?
My best friend and I have talked about going back but Ebay is pretty much our only option and that's expensive as hell. I know this is being picky, and it's so far away, but if any of you could help out with tickets for the Georgia game that would be so awesome! Florida and Alabama would be sweet but I think those were home games this year. South Carolina would probably be pretty cool though with your boy Spurrier.
I was a proud member of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band. One year we plaed Good Ole Rocky Top over 2500 times. (This includes all Pep Band functions as well as games) for the footbal season one year.
As for Knoxville on Gameday, I would not have it any other way. Anyone in town for a Vol home game stop by, corner of White and 17th (Saywer's Parking lot) Next year will be number 7 for us there.

Tell ya what death, if I can swing us some tix this year, we will make arrangements and you can meet me in knoxville and we will hit the game together!
