are we allowed to spoil things? if people haven't watched the episode, i like to think they don't come here. cause there is a lot i want to say right now!!
i was soooooo happy when it was penny's boat. for some reason, i didn't see that coming. i know i should have, but i didn't. but that was perfect.
even if the boat exploding didn't kill jin... he has no where to go. the island has disappeared. which means, whats going to happen to the people who got off the boat and were going back to the island? i refuse to accept jin is dead.
and how is lock dead? and why does he have a new name?
honestly, they could have done a little better job.

^^I haven't seen it yet (no tv so I have to wait to watch it online) but I would think it's ok to spoil away! I read through tonight's posts to see what I missed and was half hoping for some huge spoilers so the waiting wouldn't seem so bad (I'm a sucker for spoilers, it's a bad trait, I know). . . With that said, I will *not* be checking this thread again until after I see it (try to practice some restraint). I'll be able to join in tomorrow
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...

I think if Jin survived (which I'm hoping he did; he did survive the raft being blown to smitherens, afterall), he could have been picked up by Daniel's crew in the boat that were headed from the island to the boat.
Locke may have had to move the island and is not able to return on his own, like Ben. About Locke using a different name off the island, the producers may have done that to keep us off their trail for the 2 hour episode. Or maybe Widemore's people are after him, so using a different name could help protect him.... but it obviously didn't work.
I love and hate this show at the same time! I don't want to wait for all of the answers, but if they give me all of the answers then the show would be over. It's almost the definition of insanity!
Okay LOOOOVE Lost! And the thing about John's name change - google the name and you'll see Bentham was also a philosopher who was into utilitarianism, animal right, equal rights for women, homosexuals, anti-slavery... really kinda works with how he changed as becoming leader of the island... and REALLY makes me wonder what "bad things" happened after Jack left!
I was late to work today to see the alternate endings on GMA this morning: one had Desmond in the casket, one had Sawyer.
i don't think jin is dead. most (if not all i think) of the flashes of things off the island this season have been flashfowards. there was the one with jin delivering the panda to the baby at the hospital. at first you thought it was sun, but then it wasn't.
i will once again state that if you are a true lost nerd, you must read this webpage
Locke could not have moved the island again. The island would therefore prevent him from returning and we know from Ben that they have to bring back his corpse along with the Oceanic 6.
And as much as I love Jin, I'm going to have to say he's not among the living anymore. I don't think this means we won't ever see him again (because well... ghosts are seeming to pop up everywhere) but there's no way he survived the "boom." Also, it wasn't a flashforward of Jin taking a bear to the hospital, it was a flashback.

Does anyone else frequent Lostpedia? I enjoy going there to read the theories on each episode. There are some interesting/far out ideas, and then there are some plausible ones. Good way to waste time at work

Farraday and those folks are just floatin in the middle of the ocean, no doubt. I would guess we might not see them so much anymore.
So I was thinking. The first few minutes of the finale got me thinking this way. Do you think the next season will be mostly of the Oceanic 6 off of the island, with scenes from the island serving as flashbacks? I don't know, I just thought it'd be cool, if it got switched up like that, although highly unlikely. I'm hoping for a 50/50 split between the island and the Oceanic 6 in the next season.
I guess Locke's gotta come back to the island so that he can be possessed and become the next Jacob? I can't wait for next season, cause I really have no idea where they're gonna go with this next. More explanation of Jacob and Claire hopefully?
