It's interesting how both of those characters are tied to Desmond.... and Desmond is "tied" to Farrady from his past. I believe the woman is Farraday's mother. Maybe the monk is his father??
never once did it ever occur to me to question how charles widmore knew about the island. and never once did i think he was there at one point. i feel dumb.

its great to have LOST back. i didnt think they could top the season opener with the dude gettin shot by a fire arrow, but episode 2 was insane! that h-bomb is definitely gonna be brought up again

I think I only knew because I'm obessessed with LOST! Widmore actually says in an episode (when Ben shows up in his hotel room, season 4 I think) that he's trying to get back, so we assume he's been to the island before but we didn't know when/how/why.
No one posted about Lost this week? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!!! Yeah, I kinda thought this week's episode was a bit lame. The reveal at the end wasn't really a reveal at all. Not a whole lot that was new. But, meh, whatever, it'll be back next week for its normal awesomeness I'm sure.
I felt like I was the only person posting, so I waited for someone else to bring this thread back to life This week's episode was weak from the off-island standpoint. I'm personally getting tired of the Oceanic 6 and their attitudes... just get back to the damn island already!! That's where the action is at. I'm excited to see what exactly happened to Rosseau's crew though.
oh dear lord... i've been saying for months that i can't believe jin is dead. i just wouldn't except it. i told everyone that he was going to come back. no way he died. and last night i finally proved all my friends wrong!!!!!!

the guy whho got hit with the fire arrow is the Oneders biggest fan in That Thing You Do and the Arron Burr guy from the OG got milk ad, that amuses me
Kick-ass episode last night. I've been talking about LOST all day with a co-worker. We keep referring to "Back to the Future" in reference to the timeline. The major theory we cooked up today is that Aaron is the "chosen one" that everyone thinks Locke is. I'm certain of it now.
It WAS a kick-ass episode. Best Jin performance ever, IMO. We got to see some folks wrestle the smoke monster. I couldn't believe they showed the dude's arm get torn off at that part. We saw alot more of Jacob. And Locke got the f*ck out and is gonna die. Good stuff.

it was awesome seeing more of the smoke monster in action. my favorite scene was where russo realizes her group and the father of her shild is sick. the look on the dudes face was intense when he lifted his gun up hoping to kill russo

WOW! that is is excatly what i was thinking. Aaron is most definitely very important somehow. After Locke comes back to life once his body is on the island i think he will have to do some serious sacrificing. I am pretty sure Faraday has an important role in the island as well.
As far as Charles widmore, i figured he'd been on the island before but was very surprised (and still perplexed) that he was one of the others. Way back then too? in the 50's right? I loved how he was portrayed as a young guy too. What a douche!
Also, Sayid is own of my fav characters but he is gonna get darted sooner of later (next episode).
I wonder what the remaining survivors have been doing(rose, bernard, etc.)? Time traveling nose bleeds anyone?
that blonde with the gun? Emily or Em or whatever.... I bet she's the hooded lady, Mrs Hawkins. WHO is also Faraday's mom!
Yep, she is indeed. The hooded lady is Eloise Hawkins... and the blonde girl with the gun was Ellie. So it can't be anyone else.
I can't say that I'm totally bummed about Charlotte dying. She was a bit annoying, and we learned more from her in the last 5 minutes of her life than any other.
This week was a good episode, but definitely weaker than what we've had so far this season. I did enjoy hearing about "how to find" the island, though I would have liked a more detailed explanation.
The big nugget from this week is going to be Jack's grandfather, the fact that he's still around. He has a greater purpose!

I agree. Alright episode, but it didn't get into anything. It would have been cool to show HOW they calculated the stuff (or am I just a nerd?) // how they got to the island instead of just one minute they're there.
But yeah. This season needs to step it back up, lol.
And Jack's grand dad was so cute. I wonder what his purpose is... && I wonder if the pilot of the plane will have survived the crash, I wonder if "the island is not done with him yet."

Hi everyone, Lost is my favorite show, and I figured I'd post some of my theories from this season. I watch the episodes when they air on Wed, and then rewatch them a few days later and take notes. Here are my notes.
In the episode Jughead, some extra remaining survivors get killed by the others traps (the bombs), but when Daniel asks about them, Ellie replies that they didn't put them there. Could Rousseau have done this? Also in Jughead, "You just couldn't stay away." Ellie says this to Dan, the first time she meets him. What could she mean by this? We know now that he's been on the island before, maybe this is what she meant.
We've only seen Smokey as a physical force, never a mind control (that we know of). This goes with Smokey being called the Security system of the island by ben. Is it possible that it kills only those who the island feels are unworthy of something? Redemption? Life even? Also, something interesting. Rousseau picked up her signature rifle just before the first flash. She's been seen with it ever since. I really don't know what I'm getting at, just thought it was interesting.
"You disappeared. You're sick too, you're a carrier." - Rousseau to Jin after seeing him in the brush.
I love Jin - "Don't bring my baby back!" lol
"Oh turn it up I love Geronimo Jackson." - if you watched the enhanced episode, they mention that Charlie and Hurley were listening to this band in one episode. VERY interesting.
Could the flashes be controlled by the island/Jacob? - Flashes flashing until Charlotte is dead, "What are the odds we'd be in the same time as this? FLASH", right as locke is climbing down, "Thank you jesus! FLASH. I take that back!", etc.
Dan Norton is probably an other. He seems to have known ben a long time.
Finally, "I'm not allowed to have chocolate before dinner." - R.I.P. Charlotte
I've come to the conclusion that pretty much everyone we're meeting right now is very important to The Island's history. I bet Jack's granddad has been to The Island at one time. There's something with Jack's bloodline that has history with The Island. I don't know if this will wind up happening or not, but I had a thought during the last episode, that it would make sense for Kate to get pregnant right before they go back. I think they need Jack's seed for The Island. And since Aaron's gone, it would make sense.
