I thought Walt was supposed to be the chosen one all along. Didn't he have special powers or something?? It's been so long since I've watched those episodes.

Yeah what the hell happened to Walt? Didn't he get off the island and was living with his grandmother? Why didn't the island want him back? I really need to rewatch some episodes. I've got all of them on dvd.
It's strange to think about season one and how they introduced the others and where they all are now. It makes me wonder if they truly had a "master plan" all along or if they were just writing as they went.
A Thieve's Parade 2/24 Conspirator 2/26 Kevin Smith 3/11 Keller 3/17 Papadosio 3/18 JJ Grey 3/25 Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer 3/26 Toubab Krewe 3/27 O'Death 4/11 Budos Band 4/22 EOTO 4/28 Summer Camp 5/6-29 All Good
I think they had a master plan but it wasn't refined. Stuff probably came to them as they were writing and they threw it in, but I think they've known how it was going to end all along.
As for Walt, I have been really anxious to find out what the deal with him is. But I'm feeling that we won't get anymore info on him which is a shame because I liked his character.
Does anyone else listen to any LOST podcasts or contribute to LOST message boards?

i think we will actually know more about him in season 6. wasn't he the first one that mr. pelham? locke went to see after he got off the island? that is kind of important imho.
dont listen to any, have read a couple forums, but i try to refrain since i haven't seen the last two episodes of 5 yet

The finale is epic!!!!! I think they were making it up as the went along for the first half season or so. But when they found out how popular the show was and found out ABC was going to keep it going I think they sat down and hammered out the major plot points.
I asked the podcast/forum question because the podcast I usually listen to thinks Walt is out of the picture. Their reasoning: He was the first person Locke went to see about coming back to the island... and yet, he didn't go back with them. If he's so important, shouldn't he have come back? The podcast folks seem to believe that scene with Locke and Walt was the writers way of removing Walt from the plot.
But I'm not sure that I believe all that. Mostly because I'm unsatisfied with the Walt plotline... they really hyped his character up at the beginning, why would they just leave him out at the end?

I do. About every one i can listen to Transmission, J&J, DarkUFO.
And i think we will see Walt again. I mean they are bringing back Locke's (Jeremy Bentham) old boss Randy from the Box company, surely they will bring back walt for an ep. or two.

I am sure that Walt will be back. In what capactiy, who knows? They can realisitically do anything they want. I just hope they don't disappoint. I want answers damn it. If it's all Hugo's dream, Im going to be pissed.

I listen to J&J also, airline! Though I haven't listened in a while.... not as interested in what they have to say in the off-time. Jack gets on my nerves.
I'd love to see Walt again. I'd love it more if he held the key to the mysteries of the Island.

Didn't they say there's not going to be anything lame like it's a dream or ALIENS!@#!!!!! And I agree jhoitn. I'm so tired of Jack's storyline that I could care less if it continues in Season 6. He's just so annoying.

THANK YOU!!! I have been tired of Jack and Kate from season 3. I think the other characters have much more compelling backstories and more potential (but then maybe I just think that because they don't get as much face time as Jack and Kate). I realize that it's more likely Jack and Kate will save everyone and put things right but I'd much rather it be Locke or Walt... or even Hurley!
I hate Kate as well. But i've always HATED Locke, so naturally i love Jack since he put a gun to his face and pulled the trigger.
But my favorite all time characters are Faraday, Sayid, Frank, Sawyer, Juliet, and Jack.
and Jay and Jack are both pretty annoying. I reccomend The Transmission jhointn. They are from Hawaii and always have the latest spoilers and in depth analysis.

Yeah but Kate's really hot..... And Juliet's little smile annoying thing has derailed many o Lost discussions for me. She's a good actor I guess, but I can't get over it. There's got to be something else she can do.

We knew Boone was back, but this is what I read today (SPOILER Streetbum):
Somerhalder says he shot the "Lost" season opener in Hawaii and will return "a couple times" while shooting "Vampire Diaries" in Atlanta.
As for spoilers, Somerhalder will only say that the "Lost" script was so detailed, it "weighed about three pounds" and that he wears the same clothes he did five years ago.
Emillie de Ravin will return to Lost as Claire, but she may be hard to spot. I hear we'll be introduced to a version of Claire we've never seen before-a Rousseau-esque version. According to a Lost insider Mira Furlan who played Rousseau turned down the show's request to return for the final season due to a prior overseas commitment.

:/ i guess it's been so long since ive seen them.....some of these spoilers mean nothing to me...like filming at lax...yes where they were going...but doesnt mean to much to me i guess. i mean jack was flying all the time after he got off the island, trying to get back on...maybe its just a coincidence or possibly a reunion for everyone? idk, i really need to go back and watch s4 & s5 when 5 comes out.
and i don't care,,, claire is claire is my secret girlfriend dont tell charlie
Post by awolfatthedoor on Nov 18, 2009 16:32:28 GMT -5
How dare you do wrong by Charlie he was the best And I know that rumor didn't mean much, but I still think that's where the opening scene of s6 starts, but I thought that all along.
And Juliet's little smile annoying thing has derailed many o Lost discussions for me. She's a good actor I guess, but I can't get over it. There's got to be something else she can do.
I also did not much like Juliet. The only females on the show I care about are Claire and Sun. (I'm a Sayid-worshipper myself)
As for Claire being all Rousseau-like, I'm curious to see this development. Did she get lost in the jungle and go crazy or is she acting on the requests of her "dad"? Maybe now that Locke (and Rousseau) is dead, she's taking on the role as the protector of the island or something along those lines?

That would be awesome. Great idea. I'm definitely going to steal that and claim it as my own And sorry but Sun's acting has declined recently. I'm not sure when it happened because she was stellar early on, but she hasn't been as good recently. I know I'm complaining about Sun and Kate's acting abilities, but it seems that those are the only two that aren't always believable on a show with a huge cast. That's pretty awesome

I kind of recognized this, I think when Jin spoke only Korean and sun stuck to that she was great, but once Jin started speaking English, and they basically switched both characters to English, she went down hill.

OH SNAP i forgot about the 4 8 15 16 23 42 numbers, was that ever really explained on what those number actually mean?
