Girlfriend and I got a new dog last Saturday morning, meet Annie! She's a very lazy greyhound who loves to nudge strangers for pets (much to our annoyance), is very food motivated, and so far hasn't had any problems with our first grey Kimura! Her racing name was Havana, but she didn't really respond to it like our first did to his name so we changed it to Annie (girlfriend picked it, don't think there's really any significance). She's only 60 lbs compared to Kimura's 79, and is noticeably smaller when they stand next to each other. She seems like she'll be very cuddly, and doesn't seem like she'll take as long to open up to us as much as the first grey did. Walking two dogs isn't as hard as I thought it'd be, the only annoying part is how slow they go since they're so lazy and often don't want to go for walks Here are some pics of her and then some more of Kimura since he's so cute I can't leave him out
I’ve always wanted a retired greyhound but I know they can be challenging. Are they lazy and hungry because they were starved and raced?
I adopt Cornish Rex cats that can’t show. The ones I got as adults were starving. It took awhile for them realize they were going to be fed. Spock knocked a Pb&j sandwich out of my hand and ate it.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Forgot how great this thread was. Belated sorries to you Truevine for your loss. Boxer Chelsea had mixed black and pink nails and toes. He looks like a sweet man.
Theo - nice looking garden - Japanese Maple, flowers and shit and Lulu.
All the new additions are great (fingers, pepe, mar).
Re tux cats, my boy Tommy had Alex for like 15 years back in his 20's and 30's. Alex had a black stash resembling a certain former German dictator. He was smart as shit and loved playing and rolling around with you and playfighting and shit. He was awesome but the only tux cat I was ever really around.
Speaking of Tux (mostly nka Tuxy), my daughter sent me a photo of his shark life vest that came in today. She's bringing him and Sershy over to FL next weekend, and he hasn't been swimming yet. In my mind, dogs can swim instinctual(ly?) as long as there is an exit point for them so they don't panic. They have a few dog beaches here on the Gulf and then there's a cool dog swimming area in Bayou Texar at Bayview Park. I'm sure he'll do fine, but it's probably better he has the vest for the waves if he wants to go swimming in the Gulf.

my wife demands photos or video of Tuxy swimming in that thing
Word. I think I’d let him go in the Bayou or in the Bay without it. But I’ll let him ride a wave or two at dog beach. They’re supposed to be up Friday I think

Found out a few days ago that bae will have to have surgery soon. The toxin level in her liver are super high and we have no idea if its genetic or she got into something.
Hoping things will work itself out with medication but they've already said she's not getting any bigger. She's a whopping 7 lbs as is.
