I hope she is going to be Ok. She is a cutie.
I was told that without the surgery she'd have a couple of years vs. 10+ with it. I elected to do it. She's only 7 months now and far too young to "have a couple of years left".
Also, she's going to be a literal toy for the rest of her life. My cats reminder her of that daily.
Damn, wtf Garage? That's HR back in the early 80's singing How Low Can a Punk Get (ah ah ah ah ah ah). Fucking right. Last time I saw him, he was sitting down in a chair and no longer had much of that charming voice that carried him from the origins of DC Hardcore through Reggae. Dr. Know still ruled.

Around the start of the year I got nostalgic for 70/80's hardcore/punk. I've been rocking a lot of Bad Brains and 7 Seconds since then. My wife keeps asking if its sportscar time as if I'm in my mid-life crisis. I just keep saying to worry about that if she sees a van parked in the driveway and I keep talking about "tour, maaan".
The surgery is a no-brainer. She's just too much for me to let go of right now.
my wife demands photos or video of Tuxy swimming in that thing
Gulf was closed to swimming yesterday, but we went to dog beach in Bayview Park today. I grabbed you a couple quick videos. One of them it looks like a horn because some other dog immediately attacked his fin and I stuck it back on backwards. But he ended up getting it a bit. PM me where to send those couple short clips and I will. Peace. Dog day afternoon. There were 18-20 dogs out today getting after it, so for mine who don’t swim that often, (Tuxy’s first Time in) i like them seeing the older dogs go way out to help them gain confidence. Saorise did well too. We’re letting them chill for about another hour and will bring them to Bay Bluffs Park to go play on the cliff beaches.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
we unexpectedly lost our sweet little boy yesterday. he wasn't sick, and peacefully passed in his sleep. we were really lucky to have spent almost 7 years with him, which is a nice long life for a piggy. i'm missing him zooming around and squeaking this morning, and the pup has definitely noticed that his brother isn't here. we put him to rest in one of our flower beds, and i look forward to spring when something beautiful will grow in his place.
here he is hiding in my pocket, and meeting a pillow version of himself.

Bee bumping this reminded me that Doom Kitty (DK) has not been seen in a couple weeks. He's an outside cat that just showed up one day about 12-13 years ago and has been hanging out on the regular ever since. The claim has always been mutual as evidenced by the random deposits of animal parts on the porch throughout the years. He was consistently fearless fighting (and winning) versus pretty much whatever animal he came across. He had a stroke a few years ago but seemingly recovered from it for the most part. He was slowing down some though. The raccoons that he used to fight over food with started showing up a little more often than they did in his youth, and he was much more reluctant to tangle with them. In the end, I want to think he had a warrior's death bc I feel like that's what would fit him. You never know though. He may just randomly show up one day. Weirder shit has happened.

I dated a guy for almost 4 years who had his own dog that was basically mine as well. But now that it's been a couple years since we broke up and I no longer have my companion, I'm ready to invest my love in my own sidekick again. Thinking about going to a couple shelters this weekend to look for a new fur baby
You never know though. He may just randomly show up one day. Weirder shit has happened.
Reminds me of this barn cat we had in my teenage years named Hamster. Where we were at in Colorado, cats and chickens kinda just vanished pretty frequently, usually by way of fox or coyote. If you didn't see someone for a few days, it was pretty easy to assume they got got. Six months after Hamster's disappearance in the fall, she showed back up with a professionally groomed coat looking fat and happy as ever. She did the same thing the next year! We think she found a second family, and hope that's where she ended up for good.

I’m so sorry beebee . Loosing pets is one of the hardest things ever. Stay strong.
We finally got Mocha’s liver in check enough to get her fixed. I kept going back and forth about doing it with her timeline but after a week of her not fixed, it was for the best. Pretty sure the cats appreciate it if anything.
She’s in a onesie because they didn’t have a cone small enough. Pic is from a few weeks ago. She literally snuggles in my armpit to sleep.
I feel bad for Tuxy having to get his nuts clipped on Tuesday. I’ve been pining for it because Saoirse isn’t fixed yet due to her lineage. All my dogs were always spayed/neutered, but I don’t have control or decision power on either of these. Tux’s owner who is incapacitated had said he didn’t want him fixed. He’s sealed brindle so black and white boxer which is pretty rare. We don’t know how much he paid for him and maybe that’s why he didn’t want him cut. But we’ve had him since he was 2 months and had to crack the whip and tell his power of attorney we were doing it. He’s an ultra sweet dog, but he’s leash aggressive and territorial which most likely all stems from him being a 14 month old juvenile male and needing to be fixed. He’s not been eating because him and Saoirse fight and play all day. But they’ve been separated because he’s one tracked on pheromones and chemicals while she is in heat. So I brought his ass to Florida and will keep him for a couple days before he has surgery. Point mostly was I was feeling bad for Tuxy because he’s been living with that dog perfume he can’t get at only to be about to face the vet’s scalpel. He’ll get some extra love and hopefully will tone some of his shit down. I’ve been working hard on Saoirse ‘s decision maker to get her fixed too which hopefully she will.
Saoirse will be in the Krewe of Barkus today. The theme is Barkingham Palace, so we got her a princess costume. No way will she wear the wig or hat, but the dress will work. She’s pretty good around offer dogs but can be sketched by crowds. We’ve been to that parade a few times, and it rules because it’s all dogs. But we could never march with Chelsea because she hated all other dogs. Tuxy is a no-go because he’s still too wild and rascally. Hopefully she will be good, and I can post a picture or two later. Luckily I don’t have to drive today, so it’ll be a party.

is it too late to dress her a queen with Covid symptoms?

Haha. Yeah. We slacked on that especially with this morning’s news on the Queen. She did great and got all the boxer love and didn’t jostle with anyone else. She wasn’t keeping that fucking wig on though. Awesome day. Saw families we knew, people from the past and even ended up at a gay bar where my nephew was celebrating his 32nd. Haha. Smiles everywhere for dogs and dog people. She couldn’t be a queen because the king and queen have to be rescues and she’s our we bought her (also have a rescue but he’s too wild)
And your boy me did get two callouts for the Sigur Ros t-shirt I had on from the 2013 tour. I never wear that but I’ll probably bring it to Bonnaroo because 2 people will recognize it. Haha.
Inspired by browell on the People of Inforoo podcast... We DO need to see more pets on this damn site!! Here are my two babies:
Beasley is a spry 15 year old lady who loves to yell and yell and yell... But we love her anyway. Most of the time.
Andy is our sweet rescue baby and literally the bestest boi EVER. Now three years old, he loves napping, short walks on quiet streets and snuggles. But his favorite things on earth are other dogs. Here he is chillin' at his favorite spot, the dog bar.
