I love your dogs. Don't take this the wrong way, it's intended as a compliment, but Maya and Tyger look like what my family affectionately calls "trash dogs", typically meaning wiry haired messes that look trashy as hell, but really we apply it to any dog that isn't traditionally a sleek or classy looking animal. We consider both our dogs trash dogs, Neko with her weird hair and Wallace with his single albino eye and strangely heavy 55 pound body.

They are both long-haired Chihuahuas (Maya is supposedly pure breed). Maya had bad demodectic mange when we first got her and it destroyed some of her hair follicles, she had NO hair when we got her and was only 3lbs. She has a mohawk you can't see in that photo (still not a great photo):
I don't believe that she is full breed long hair Chihuahua like the vet originally said...they also said she wouldn't get bigger than the 3 lbs she was when we got her, but her hair grows in a mohawk and we shave all the extra hair off in the summer. We shave Tyger completely down too, but I personally think they are much cuter with the wild hair. Of course that could be because I have wild hair too.
Tyger is actually half long hair chihuahua and Yorkie Terrier, they call them ChiYorkies... I have only see a few others that are the same, BUT they all look just like him. We got him because he looked so much like Maya and I missed my Boston Terrier so he was the replacement/matching set puppy. If I would have known he would have been such a dick I would have held out and got another Boston.
Wallace was NOT pleased by the fireworks. He pretty much just stared at me pleadingly like this all night.
Poor guy. For whatever reason, they don't seem to bother Omar that much. He doesn't like them at first, but he gets used to them pretty quick. And Dave can't hear them, so he's fine. But Yoko just had whole-body shakes pretty much the whole time they were going off, which felt like basically forever. The 4th of July is by far my least favorite holiday.
today is my guinea pig gerby's 2nd birthday. my fiance and i got to meet the stanley cup this morning. we photoshopped the two occasions together to celebrate (spoiler for size)

That's the stray cat I posted about here last Summer. He's still here. Like right here at my feet right now. I called him Dickbutt for awhile. Then Gomaz. I really think Dickbutt is better.
That's my brother's dog Remi but he stays with me a lot and he's a pretty good dude.
