I watched that live post game conference with the Memphis players.
...So, do they actually go to school or just play basketball? I know I can't have high expectations of seeing great public speakers on college sports teams, but I'm pretty sure may BAL reaches higher levels than the avg. IQ of those players in the conference

Hey now, that's just Memphis players, not all C-USA players
But yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. I guess the University isn't surprised by any of their behavior anymore though...beating their girlfriends, getting arrested, striking a fan post-game....I guess not graduating is pretty low on their worry list right now...
I was saying that to my roommate earlier. It seems that the games that should be close (unc kansas, texas memphis, etc) aren't and the teams that should be winning by a lot (see the belmont game haha) aren't.
i hope the championship game is close. i like nail biters
Let me share with you all what the Memphis team and their incredible season means to me, really, to a whole city. I became a basketball fan nearly 25 years ago, the last time the Tigers went to the Final Four. I was 14 and they broke my heart. You see, Memphis is well aware of it's "stepchild" status in the state of Tennessee. We are poorer, as a result we suffer more crime; our University receives way less in the way of support from the state than that other college 350 miles away with the catchy theme song and lily white fan base; our city is racially diverse, and suffers from the tensions that that can sometimes create. But there are 2 things that can bring this city together like nothing else.....music, and the Memphis Tigers. So, when my team advanced to the National Championship, I was not the only Memphian crying real tears for the team, and for their city. Cause our team is alot like our city. They both have their problems and both still have alot of growing up to do, but both are completely unique and phenomenal. So I am , and I will always be, so proud to wear my blue and gray. Bama, I see you are still bitter about that loss. I'm surprised you can't see that there were mistakes made by both Pierre, and the UAB fans that were throwing bottles and taunting the players...maybe that comes with maturity. I hope when your team is vying for the NC in 25 years (and I will be rooting for them!), it will be as sweet as this is to me. GO TIGERS!!!!!!!

You know how i feel But enjoy it if they win...I won't excuse what my school's fans did...but that's in the past. However, they proved there was no liquor bottle thrown...the broken nose was actually due to an elbow during play.
Actually, you know, I mostly hate obnoxious Memphis fans...you know, the ones who almost got into a fight with UAB fans after the game...the ones who threw things onto the field when our band performed this fall and 2 years ago at the UAB-Memphis game...the fans who flip us off and cuss at us...you know the type. But I guess there are crappy fans everywhere. Memphis is a GOOD team...I don't necessarily approve of their behavior off the court, or Coach Cal, but I will admit that those boys can play basketball.
I think we both know about "stepchild" status as we also have a school down the road with a catchy fight song and a lily-white fan base.
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo

As crazy as it sounds, if I had to pick one guy on that court to put on an NBA team, it would be Chalmers. The dude wants to win badly. Watch any close game for Kansas this year, and you would have seen Chalmers be the guy to will the team to victory. Fitting way for his season to end...

3. During one of the games they had a close-up of some dippy Kansas cheerleader with a dorky bow on her head screaming "Let'th go Kanthath"... and her lisp bugged the crap out of me.
seriously... the only cheerleaders that should wear a bow ON TOP of their head should be age 5 and under...
Memphis can't hit a quacking freethrow when it counts. They gave it away.
Perhaps if their coach didn't discount then positively reinforce their weakness at every press conference, they might have felt compelled to actual work on their shooting. But from what I've heard of Memphis, their players aren't exactly practice guys....
