mmmmm ok. dosent make him any less of a hippie hating Summers breeze. it dosent make roo any less different from 02 - 08 because he was there before i was.
What it does is refute your notion that Roo was a nothing but a hippie-love-fest of peace-loving-dreadlocked-patchwork-deadheads at one time.
It simply wasn't, and stallion is proof of that. You claim people like him are the reason you aren't going to Roo in 08, but what you fail to realize is that he was going to Roo before you. His presence didn't stop you from attending in 2004, did it?

where are the positivity police when they are really needed?
hmmm, directed at no one, directed at everyone... I think I'd be more interested in the karma police at this point, but if positivity is desired, see my post from 2:35 AM... and here's wishing everyone has a great Sunday!

whatever man. of course there were dipshits at the first roo. but it was him and a few others. now its the majority. im not going over all of this again. you all know its changed. you just want to argue. 1 stallion is unpleasent. but 70000 is way too many for me to deal with.
Whether or not the kid next to me is wearing tight black jeans, black-rimmed glasses, and styled hair, or he is wearing tye dye, patchwork, and dreadlocks makes no difference to me.
As long as the kid next to me is there for the music first, than I have no problem with their outward appearance. I have met so many grateful, music-loving people at Bonnaroo. Some are Roo vets, some are hippies, some are frat boys, or sorority girls, some are indie kids, some are experiencing a festival for the first time, but the over-riding tie that binds them together, is that they took a week out of their year to travel to a remote location in Tennessee to see and share in their love of music, whatever music that may be.
This idea that Bonnaroo has changed for the worse because of the bands is completely silly to me. Once we all get on the farm, we are all brothers and sisters for one weekend, living in a city built by the love of live music.
I'll tell you what classical music is — for those of you who don't know. Classical music is this music that was written by a bunch of dead people a long time ago. And it's formula music, the same as top forty music is formula music.
The most important thing to do in your life, is to not interfere with somebody else's life.
It's fairly obvious, since Richard Nixon, that there is no such thing as a fair deal for any voter in the United States — You're just not gonna get it. It's a joke — the people that you vote for, they're the next best thing to criminals. But of course they have money for advertising campaigns that make them look a little bit better than they actually are.(wow... you mean voting is a joke? who woulda thought?)
If you wind up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest or some guy on TV telling you how to do your shit, then YOU DESERVE IT. (hmmm.. maybe i shouldnt get a job and do all that good stuff society wants. zappa says its bad.)
I think it's really tragic when people get serious about stuff. It's such an absurdity to take anything really serious ... I make an honest attempt not to take anything seriously: I worked that attitude out about the time I was eighteen, I mean, what does it all mean when you get right down to it, what's the story here? Being alive is so weird.
A drug is not bad. A drug is a chemical compound. The problem comes in when people who take drugs treat them like a license to behave like an asshole.
Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible.
The person who stands up and says, 'This is stupid,' either is asked to behave or, worse, is greeted with a cheerful 'Yes, we know! Isn't it terrific!'
The Ultimate Rule ought to be:'If it sounds GOOD to you, it's bitchen; if it sounds BAD to YOU, it's shitty' The more your musical experience, the easier it is to define for yourself what you like and what you don't like. American radio listeners, raised on a diet of_____ (fill in the blank), have experienced a musical universe so small they cannot begin to know what they like. (how dare he preach to those radio listening masses like hes above them!!!)
On a personal level, Freaking Out is a process whereby an individual casts off outmoded and restricting standards of thinking, dress, and social etiquette in order to express creatively his relationship to his immediate environment and the social structure as a whole (hmmmm... seems kinda similar to the into the wild quote.)

i dont ever recall having or expressing that notion. but it was much much closer to that in the past. goddamnit you all know its reality!!!!!!! why fight and deny it??? its absurd. ROO CHANGED!!!!!!!! DRASTICALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! seriously. what universe do you guys live in? i can see arguing the positives and negatives of it all. but to deny that any changes have taken place is beyond belief!! but your entitled to your opinions. as am i. but stallion gets going with the direct insults. i guess its just his immature, american society bred assh0lishness coming through. i cant believe the dude hasnt ended up naked, duct taped to a tree, with a large drum circle going around him as hippie chicks danced around misting him in the face with spray bottles full of L and throwing glowsticks at him until he either quits being a d0uche or agrees to go home and never come back. hes the most out of place person i have ever met through any festie related thing. at least he is a rooer. easy to avoid.

your claiming i had the notion that every single person at roo 02 was a dready, patchy, hippie. its just not true. i never said anything like that. thats the instigating factor of continuing this arguing... look man.. everyone know its changed. if you dont think so then i wish you luck in life, your gonna need it.
whatever man.... am i seriously still getting shit? this guy is going around saying he hates me and everyone like me and calling people stupid hippies and im still taking shit?? this dudes a fucknut and its obvious. and yet its me who is the problem. you guys are a joke.
and movie quote or not..... isnt just about everything about this asshats profile negative, insulting, and just out of place here? i can think of a few movie quotes that would offend the shit out of everyone here. should i use those as my sig and say "hey its a quote from a movie, im not really a 3rd grade moron p.o.s. who is just trying to be irritating and get a rise out of people????"

Not to take anyones side, but this conversation is just going round and round and round. Everyone who has been on here for some time, KNOWS that Keith likes to state his opinion whether you like it or not, YET certain people still feel it necessary to CONTINUOUSLY INSTIGATE and push buttons. I'll be the first to say that I don't agree with everything he has to say, but when its all said and done, Dude is still a stand up guy, and is good for some GREAT conversation. These days of continuous personal attacks that go back and forth, almost makes embarrassed to say I even post on here. The childish word-vomit that is spewed out on here is looked at by many non-Inforooing Bonnaroo-ers, as A JOKE. Believe me, I've had the discussions, it sucks trying to defend some of the garbage on here. Anyways, Happy Holiday all, hope you are all well!! Love, Hoodoo.
well again this is about a few people. its been going back and forth for years. and to me gouge was picking up where stallion left off. not to mention i just read stallions posts so its new to me.
btw although it may turn some off but i enjoy the heated debates. thanks to the mods for allowing this to continue in here. plus it has the added bonus of not gravitating to other threads because a thread gets locked. it was nice to vent. its unfortunate when it becomes personal attacks. but i personally try to do my best to avoid that and only respond in kind when shots are taken at me. but its all good. i know i irritate some people. i wouldnt have it any other way! but its all pretty retarded. i agree. its hard to avoid the inforoo drama llama anymore. thats the main reason ive avoided posting for quite sometime. but im bored this weekend so here i am. and its killed a good chunk of time. so mission accomplished. all i can say is that most people enjoy reading the heated conversations about a topic. its the personal attacks that make everything go all jr high. oh well happy chronica (or chronzaa) to all! im gonna celebrate with a smoke and a nap!

and he seems quite anti non no word for a guy who worships a dude who claimed eating 12 hits of lucy and snorting 5g of powder was his lifes greatest accomplishment.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
