Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Thought it might be useful for roo veterans to share what they'll do differently to help out the first timers. I'll... Remember to put sunscreen on my feet when wearing sandals. Bring easier, quicker food. Remember to bring my Camelbak.
Bring a canopy and a tent fan sleep Thursday night remember to use sunscreen on monday when I'm packing up. i avoided sunburn all weekend and then thinking I'd be out of there momentarily never applied any on monday. when the shade was gone and we were out there a couple of hours packing, I burned to a crisp
The main thing I learned after acouple year has already been mentioned but I will reiterate it. Pace yourself. Late nights are fantastic and the heat will wear you out. Also if you don't get enough rest you'll be worn out by Sat nite and Sunday.
As always, drink lots of water and wear sunscreen. Heatstroke or a bad sunburn on the 1st day will ruin the whole weekend.

This sounds absolutely silly and unnecessary but i was a victim last year. After all is said and done on Monday, put sunscreen on before driving home (mostly for those with long travels).
I managed to avoid sunburn the entire weekend, and after packing up and leaving and sitting in the car for who knows how long on the drive home, once I arrived home I realized the entire right half of my body was sunburned to a crisp from the sun beating through the passenger window. Eff that.

^^this reminds me of a time i was driving to big cypruss, and by the time i got there my left forearm was already burnt...
and if that wasnt enough, while waiting in line, i tried to find the inforoo crew, while this was happening...the line decided to move about six miles in the opposite direction... so i was left with walking five miles back to the front of the line (my caravan was almost into langerado)
good way to start off a festie, six mile walk and neck/ears/arms/calfs burnt
pace myself try to get more sleep - pull the air mattress out of the tent and under the EZ up in the am to get more sleep eat healthier find the real shakedown hang out with the Inforoosters
A shade tent is a must. I didn't bring one last year and really suffered. Buy or borrow one. You'll be happy you did. Also, be sure to make friends with your neighbors. Their shit may be better than yours!
I'll do the following differently: - cool my campsite better - go to see the stuff I want to see, despite what others in the group are doing. - find the real shakedown street - Stay up for the entire MMJ show
sandals are good for your campsite to let you feet breath and relax in but i wouldnt wear them into centeroo especially if you are camped in BFE. Basically if you are gonna do alot of walking put on a thick pair of socks (ie footjoy) and wear a new/simi-new pair of comfortable shoes. my feet were the only problem that i encountered at roo last year, probly because i insisted on wearing sandals for most of the weekend.
- not bring enough food/beer for the end of the world - bring 2 ez-ups - go to brunch at camp inforoo - discover more new bands i've never heard of - don't whimp out on sunday night and stay for all of panics set - go to comedy tent - breakdance at the silent disco - bring spray fan (or 3) - meet a cool roo hottie - ride the ferris wheel this year, preferably with said roo hottie

-overall i will be better prepared; last year me and my gf showed up with a tent, two camp chairs and a cooler and that's it. if it would have rained we would've been fucked. -eat more and drink more water -sleep more thursday night so i can... -make it to more daytime shows -be patient enough to wait out the line @ the silent disco -pace myself @ the late nights so i don't feel like shit during the daytime -put on sunscreen as soon as the sun comes up; it's surprising how easy you can burn in less than an hour @ 9am

In the words of the great Jay Roc - You've got to pazace yourself, maf.
I will not stay up until dawn on Thursday night. I will bring a camera and take pictures. I will rinse off every day before the PM shows in order to wake myself up. I will not stay up until dawn on Sunday night.

wear a bandana or hat.. dark hair + TN sun = HOT Remember to put sunscreen on my ears pace myself! not freak out over stuff like money or anything check out more stuff in Centeroo
When I'm not using them I will keep my pillows, sheets, and blankets in the truck where I know rain can't get to them. Don't you wish you had done this at Langerado Lordrockinghood?
1) Pace myself... At least on Thurs & early Friday, I'll have to make a constant effort to keep an even keel if I want to make it to Friday & Saturday night. 2) Take more pictures 3) Talk to more random people
take a nap during the day.... well i did that last year too, but i have to make sure it gets done again... i crashed hard during the Flips last year and i don't want that to happen again.
place my tent underneath my shade canopy.
not bringing any beers, i'm never at the campsite except to sleep so what's the point?
-another vote for less food at camp, this year we are just bringing snacks. fruit, jerkey, trail mix etc.
-not going to go all out on friday,i'm too old for that and i spent a good chunk of saturday sleeping last year(and i missed lots of things i wanted to see)

Did you miss some of the Lips last year too? I started getting sleepy half way through and took advantage of the fact that I actually felt like sleeping and crashed.
Not seeing that whole show is my biggest regret from 07. But man I needed that sleep.
Stay up at night for the late night sets and make sure my friend does too! Last year we barely stayed out late and I really regret it. This year I plan on seeing the sun come up at least once!!
