Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Oh yeah, definitely have a smaller camping area... try to have something like a 6 or 7 person area, as opposed to 12-15, as it's been the last couple of years. First year with a 4 person camping group was great, but it'll never be like that again. I've had enough of these gargantuan groups.
I love people, but I like a core group at Roo... too much splitting up and conflict of schedules. Keep it simple, next year.

- take more pictures - take a sturdier chair for lounging (i.e., not the $10 throw-away PVC kind that you get at Wal-Mart) - no beer... took tons and went home with most of it - take about 80% less food - not pass on certain verdant merchandise that, apparently, dries up quickly at roo - take a couple more people (last year just me and my bro) - get there just a couple hours earlier to beat some of the line at the gate (arrived 7:30am this year and waited about 3hrs) - know where the hell i'm going ('08 was my first) - meet up with friends from this year
Yeah, more pictures. I took my camera but only took pictures while waiting in line to get in Thursday. Now I wish I had some pictures to revitalize my memories.

-Stay naked. -Stay up the entire time. -Walk to every tent I find. -Steal a horse. -Ride that horse into the middle of a performance and take a pee on stage. -Smoke more corn. -Yell the entire time. -Not pay.
Bring plenty of propane for our grill. Bring the shower tent but leave the bag at home. Instead, three times as many plastic gallon jugs of water than last year for frequent washing up and refilling of water bottles. Make sure we have plenty of frozen water bottles. We did this in 07 but half-assed it this past year and ended up wasting money on ice. Continue to get more creative when it comes to creating a cool campsite. Did better this year with homemade tapestries & two fans but we should have explored other things, such as tarps, that always seem too hard.
What we do different form now on is travel. In years past we have left New Jersey on Wednesday after work and drove until around midnight and slept in the camper in a wal mart parking lot, then get back up at 5 AM and drive to the farm. That is a lot of driving (850 miles) not to mention that I am towing a trailer.
Next year we are going to take Wednesday off and make that our drive day. My plan is to get to Chattanooga on Wednesday night relax and go out to dinner and then on Thursday drive the short (1 hour) ride to the farm. I think I will be better rested on Thursday which will help me throughout the week.
Other then that, maybe check out more acts by not staying for the entire show at one artist. I think what we do is make sure we are there before the artist is there and stay until they are done, like going to a concert.

1.Bring bigger tent and another air mattress..me and tara slept but not as comfortably as we should have.were buying another tent, liek a three room one,and another ait mattress to put side by side so were sleeping "together" but on our own air mattress.
2.less clothes.i brought like two backpacks and a duffle bag fulla clothes...why i dont know.by friday morning it was all scattreed int he bed of my truck.
3.bring less food to eat, more burgers and dogs to cook and sell and trade, then buy food to eat with profit.for 2008,we went with a freind and her parents came and they brought like 3 cases of burger patties and hotdogs and all the buns and condiments you could need.he would cook them like 30 at a time and people were offering cash, trade for no no word,i think he even got offered a hj for a hamburger.finally he got tired of grilling so he just cooked them all up at once, then put thim in foil and put them in a hibachi with the lid on to keep flies out.when we wanted one we just reheated them.so im thinking i could bring a few cases of each, some chips, soem cokes, and sell burger, hot dog, chips and a coke for 7 bucks or somethng liek that, turn a profit plus feed me and tara what ever we want all weekend virtually free ..damn security to hell ill stuff a burger in their fat faces if they say any thing.
4.Bring one back pack for centeroo.last year i swapped between a camel back with one bladder and my super huge swiss gear backpack with dual bladders and everything plus the kitchen sink in it.spent too much time swapping gear and double checking what ill i had.
5.declare centeroo essentials and stick to them.last year i found myself saying "nah i dont need this wirlygig while im in centeroo" then lo and behold id be in centeroo and find a prime circumstance when said wirlygig and/or dohickey could be rendered useful.or if i brought something into centeroo,i was regretting it and tired of lugging it around.(damn umbrella).
6.Shore up my homemade shelter.Im tired of resetting the support poles i use to hold up the ginormus tarp we lived under.the poles are just 3/4 electric conduit.im going to pre cut some, measure them, drill holes for the zip ties and color code them after i dry run the new rig i am currently envisioning.
7.bring a fully charged electric weedeater.self explanatory.
8.buy soemn sort of cheap tupperware type drawer chest thing to pack into the bed of my truck and throw campsite stuff(spatulas, forks, lighters, matches, etc) in.i had crap scattrered everywhere last year.
9.figure out taras camera.
10. get on the damn ferris wheel...maybe even get a lil kissy kissy action.
11.bring a virgin to roo.me and kris brought 5 last year.we gotta bring at least one this year or it wont feel right.

other than the usual "remember to bring items x and y, and leave item z at home"....
take it much easier during the day, especially on friday and saturday. i'll probably sit down for all but my must-see bands. even though i knew that 'roo had late-night acts i wanted to see, i didn't really anticipate the degree to which bonnaroo's true awesomeness was at night (at least for me). and i didn't really anticipate that i'd be returning to my campsite at 7am on saturday and sunday.
the thing that put a damper on my late-night 'roo was my feet hurting like a motherfucker when all i wanted to do was dance/rock-out/etc.

im going to mentally block out some of the stellar acts that are going on right after Centeroo opens because i realized if you try to catch EVERYONE you want to see in one day, you are so fucking beat by the time the late-nights you really want to see are coming on. there are of course some chemical solutions to that problem, but my "what ill do differently" is find time to rest during the day.
im going to bring a better tent. ours flooded tis year and soaked our pillows and we ended up sitting in the van and listening to the 2nd half of my morning jacket watching rain drops on the windshield. it was a fucking wonderful sight to see but our backs hated us saturday. other than that i probably will bring more beer. i got too friendly and ran out saturday night before pearl jam. thats all i plan on changing for next year.

One thing different for me is to sleep in later. I got up way too early so it made staying up that much more difficult, but it was so worth it to see Ghostland Observatory!

1. Buy one of those drive over flagpole stake things (anyone know where I can find these?); 2. Bring plenty of zip ties...those things are a lifesaver; 3. Sew weights to the bottom of our flag; 4. Find a professional to show me around Shakedown; 5. Wear a hat; 6. Pack my clothes in a plastic bin so I'm not dressing with damp clothes from the morning/evening dew; 7. Have even more fun than I had in 2008!
I will bring: - Less beer. - Less bottled water. We brought three cases and drank one case. - Less food. - More than one long-sleeved shirt and one pair of pants. I got soaked Friday night, so I couldn't wear them for the rest of the weekend. - A folding table - Energy drinks - A garbage can, or something that can substitute as one
I will: - NOT put a tarp under the EZ up shade tent - bring more solar lights for the campsite - fix the hole in my tent so my belongings don't get soaked in the downpours
Yes, everything in my duffel bag was a little damp from the dew in the morning (along with the sheets and blankets I slept with, which was my only complaint).
Ride the ferris wheel More long skirts and dresses figure out my camera do the silent disco and dance like no one is watching wear a fairy costume (complete with magic wand) hide my glowsticks better bring better food ( we gots a grill this year) drink more water try to bring my friends and my brother try to have more fun
4.Bring one back pack for centeroo.last year i swapped between a camel back with one bladder and my super huge swiss gear backpack with dual bladders and everything plus the kitchen sink in it.spent too much time swapping gear and double checking what ill i had.
please do this. so it wont take you an hour to get ready and me and kris are telling you to hurry.
Not spend so much time/energy decorating my campsite. I was hardly there anyway. Along those lines.... I'm not sure my flag was necessary.
If I get parked in BFE I'll setup a 'forward operations base' in tent only. A place where I can kick back for a little while without having to make the two mile trek back to sector 9....
