I definitely think there is room for metal at Roo. I would love to see some of the bands mentioned. I think Dillinger Escape Plan would be a good fit. And Clutch is absolutely awesome live. Dub Trio (although not really metal) is great too, they opened for the Clutch show I saw in May. I personally would love to see Down at the farm, they were touring with Metallica for a while this fall but I missed them. Oh, and the Gojira suggestion, I would love to see them live, I bet they would freaking kick ass. Also, COC and QOTSA. But above all Primus should make an appearance this year. I know some people are sick of Les but Primus together would just make my Roo much, much better.
i heard from someone else again that BTBAM is in fact playing bonnaroo this year. again like last time, its just another one of those random kids (actually my brother's roommate) that is a huge BTBAM fan, but he said it with some level of certainty. take it with a few more grains of salt, but thats officially two different people that i have heard this from. if i here it again from someone else i am going to consider it an official rumor. keeping an eye out for their name on the future lineup.

BTBAM recorded the Colors DVD in Nashville, for what it's worth... and I was there, it was awesome, and I would see them again bar some other godly metal act I haven't seen like Opeth, but they wouldn't schedule something like that big of a conflict.... or WOULD they????!?!?
Between the Buried and Me would be awesome! Maybe we can get some ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Glassjaw and Hot Water Music to...they'd all fit in well.....oh and maybe an At The Drive-In reuinion...Mars Volta could play to..it'd be okay, and maybe One Day as a Lion
Not gonna lie...I'd quite possibly kill to see Glassjaw...but until Daryl gets Head Automatica out of his system (oh God please let that happen soon) that won't be happening.
And for BTBAM, I've seen them life 4 times....I'd love another time under my belt, especially if that time is Bonnaroo.

Killswitch Engage Avenged Sevenfold Bullet For My Valentine Bless The Fall Shadows Fall
Killswitch is great live, & Shadows Fall are amazing in their own right, just not at Bonnaroo. The other three you can just keep at Warped Tour if you don't mind me saying, Avenged Sevenfold is pure horseshit, okay, okay...yeah the guy can shred....does that make them a good band? Not so much. [[edit: I realize the definition of "good music" is in the ears of the listener, but if a few of those bands somehow popped up on a Bonnaroo lineup, I'd vomit]]
As for Glassjaw, one of the most underrated bands out there. I don't think they even a little fit in at the farm, and Daryl is faaaaaar too focused on like seventy thousand other projects, with that said though, if for some effed-up random reason they ended up there, I'd be there, front row. LOVE gj. ;D

A pretty heavy math rock band i have just found is Giraffes? Giraffes!. I don't know how big they are, might only be a cafe act, but if you like frantic math rock, check em out.

Well they have no new material to my knowledge, so they'd probably have to play an hour set in the DJ latenight tent. That would actually be a sweet way to kick that tent off one night, especially considering they were having some difficulties with their equipment the first half of their set last year.

PORCUPINE TREE..Steven Wilson is incredible! I'd be content even with Blackfield or his solo stuff...P. Tree Prefered though. Opeth would be cool Pain of Salvation also. I'd really like to see Dredg there ( I know not really Metal or heavy) but they rock.
one of my good friends has this tattoo on his arm.
he also has a zombie cast of full house, TMNT, ted bundy, "k-n-u-c-k-l-e-s" on his knuckles, and my fav: "Straight Gangster" on his stomach is really girly balloon letters. lol i love him.
with that said - Municipal Waste, Skeletonwitch, BTBAM, Black Dahlia Murder, Arsis, Opeth and many other thrash/metal bands are more than welcome to the Roo and is long over due for a nice heavy few shows.
Porcupine Tree would be fucking incredible. I don't consider them metal either though, more of a psychedelic prog rock sound, IMO. But yeah, they're long overdue. Late night in one of the tents, you know where I'd be.

Gwar is playing Bamboozle this year...but I'm not sure that Bonnaroo goers are quite ready for fake ejaculate and fake blood and body parts to be thrown on them in the middle of the show.
Hahahaha.
(Sorry I just got the mental image of a bunch of people harmlessly enjoying some corn and then all of that happening)

I've seen Porcupine Tree once, but havent seen Blackfield so I would be alllllllll about that. The first Self-titled is probably among my favorite albums ever.
