Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
OK,I'm on record as saying that American Land is not one of my faves.I'm just not a big Seeger Sessions fan, although that is in relation to bruce music, not other stuff that's out there...
Anyway,I'm hitting the road in about 6 hrs for my 10 hr drive to the Twin Cities.I hope to be in the Pit,and get to witness Bruce flying thru the air towards me,like this great video of AM Land from PSU Friday night.Imagine how crazy this will be at 'Roo,and keep in mind that this is at the end of an almost 3 hr long show by the Legendary E Street Band...
Funny you should mention this b/c he jumped right towards us in Atlanta, and my mom who had never seen him do that before grabbed me and ducked... I couldn't help but laugh! ;D
Also, I was thinking with the more casual fans that will be at Bonnaroo that Badlands > DITD to open would kill and would give everyone a song they would know early instead of having to wait until the encores.
Has he been playing Tom Joad? That's all I want to know...cause that is ALL I want to hear at Roo...and I'll be One Happy Girl! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I'm on a roll tonight, must be the excitement of the impending show.I know it's not the 10 hr drive...
Anyway, here is an excellent (partial) version of GOTJ from PSU Fri night.Still hoping someone got "My Generation"-another possible cover for 'Roo that most folks are likely to know. There were a lot of students at the PSU show, maybe 50% of the crowd,so that is a possible comparison to the age of a lot of folks at 'Roo.Not me,unfortunately... ;D
Now....looking at the set lists for the tour we just have to figure out how to make him move it up into one of the first three songs of the set...so I can get decent pix of it...other wise I'll be shooting it from the netherlands and get nada ....NOT that I won't get some great shots of Badlands and Outlaw Pete (if he follows the normal tour set list....) but I REALLY want to get shots of Tom Joad! Ah well.....The Roo Gods will decide...and it will be what it will be! LOL! As long as I get to experience it I will be content...and probably trying to squeeze my way as close as I can for GoTJ and hopefully peeps will be nice and understand!
Seriously? That's probably the dumbest statement I have ever read on a message board ever in my life. Why you felt the need to come into a thread about an artist you obviously don't like and clearly know nothing about and comment doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Nils' solo on Tom Joad at Philly 1 was so good that it actually got people to go "ooooooooooh" and jump out of their seats to cheer. It was RIDICULOUS.
Hmmm one sells out stadiums, and has a list of artists as long as my arm that cite him as an influence. He is known for playing wonderful live shows, and being a stellar American singer songwriter. The other is on a tour of minor league baseball stadiums with Dylan, and Willie. Sounds about right to me dude.

Just wanted to bump this thread in appreciation. In appreciation for Bruce and the amazing music he has made over the years and for my uncle who was an equally amazing man who also happened to love the Boss. He passed away 2 years ago today from brain cancer after teaching high school for over 30 years and receiving numerous awards.
I spent the morning listening to some 'Greetings' and 'Seeger Sessions' just bawling my eyes out. Very therapeutic. I now think it may be inevitable that I may cry like a baby when I see Bruce live. I am looking forward to this powerful experience.

I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. He sounds like a extraordinary man. I think it is really great that people can live on through music and provide these spiritual experiences.
So wait...yall are exicted about Bruce...could John Cougar not make it...
Are you out of your quacking mind or just clueless? Equating John Cougar [Mellencamp] to Bruce Springsteen is about like equating The Monkees to The Beatles (insert Dumb & Dumber quote here). While Mellencamp and The Monkees might have a couple of bubble gummy catchy tunes, each act is a pathetic imitation of the infinitely greater counterpoint mentioned in the above analogy.
I am so sick of the ignorant Springsteen bashing. I'm not saying you are not allowed to dislike Bruce, but don't get on here and trash the man if you don't really know his music. Either come strong with some intelligent reasoning, or trash him somewhere with like-minded morons.
WASHINGTON - Thousands of Bruce Springsteen fans who thought they had premium seats to next week's Verizon Center concert are finding out a harsh reality: They don't have tickets.
TicketsNow.com, a resale company owned by Ticketmaster oversold the concert.
Now, representatives from the company are calling fans to tell them they don't have the premium seats for which they paid. Some fans paid two to three times the face value of the tickets to get the seats.
Refunds are being given. Customers also are getting free tickets, but they are in the 400 section of Verizon Center, nowhere close to the seats they thought they bought.
TicketsNow says the Verizon Center show is the only one with the problem.
For those that had been curious (as posted on BTX)...
when Max left the area he stopped by me and said "Thanks, have a safe ride home." I then asked him if he was going to be at Bonnaroo and he said yes. Cool.
As will I...with 15 other friends in the GA section. Can't wait.
awesome i got GA's too, we're still looking for 1 extra tix to get our group up to 5....but my question is - do you guys know the deal as far as when they let you in and how crowded it will be up there?

I didn't make the trip last year but my sister and a few friends/family went up to the show at Hershey. The GA section is MASSIVE there. I guess the best way they described it to me is to take the whole front floor section (like at Giants Stadium) and make it standing room. Then inside that front floor GA, they have a 2nd "pit" inside the massive GA section where they do the wristband lottery for. I'll be going for the lottery but if I don't get a 2nd "pit" band, I'll just hang at the back where you supposedly have plenty of room.

Did anybody else read Nine Inch Nails on the Which Stage as, Bruce will have a very large stage set up and they need a bunch of time to take it down? Also, I don't know about past What Stage Sundays but there is no one on that stage until 3:30 the next afternoon, while on Saturday the stage opens at 1:15.
Bruce's staging may be a little more elaborate than usual, but nothing to complicated. I think more than anything else they want to give Bruce the opportunity to play as long as he likes.
As for the late start on the What Stage Sunday. It may be bececause of Phish's lights. They set up the headliners lights and sometimes do a headliner soundcheck in the morning before the first act hits the stage.
Hey guys I wanted to post that I got official confirmation from my source earlier tonight in an email, my source has known Bruce Springsteen for over 40 years and is best friends with Bruce's manager. I have been annoying him for months about the possibility of Bruce but he would never acknowledge me by giving me a yes or no that Bruce was playing. In the last three years he would always tell me right away no because he would just call Bruce's manager and then relay the message but now he finally emailed me saying he's allowed to tell now that Its official from the Bruce camp that Bruce will headline and he was also told that Phish is confirmed also. My source is the real deal I wish I was able to provide a link but in this case I can't. Because of my friend I have been able to meet Bruce and hang out with him about 4 times in the last 5 years so I know he is not lying. He told me Bruce camp is planning on unveiling the upcoming tour dates right after the Super Bowl performance that is why Bonnaroo moved the annoucement of the lineup up to a few days after the Super Bowl to coincide with Bruce making the annoucement. I know that I will be smited for making this post up until we get the official lineup but to give myself some credibility I have never posted in the past any confirmations of bands or rumors. I just know this to be a FACT because I made friends with this guy about 6 years ago and found out through our friendship that he grew up with Bruce. I will never make a claim I wouldn't back up with my honesty and to be honest he's one of only 2 people I know in the music industry. I had a feeling the boss was official last month when my friend bought tickets the day they went on sale and normally he doesn't do that until the lineup comes out but now I have confirmation from him and I need to make sure I get a ticket when they go on sale. Phish and Bruce will sell out quick.
