Well looks like I will indeed be doing Roo solo again this year after failed attempts to get some friends to join me. Thats alright, i kind of prefer solo anyhows unlimited freedom to do whatever you want all weekend without having to worry about satisfying someone else. I dont know how im going this year, wether its going to be driving down myself or taking a bus. If I do indeed end up coming by bus then I def. want to camp in Camp Inforoo. Even if I decide to drive down I will check in to meet some of you peeps, looks like alot of fellow Ohioians. Should be fun, cant wait til June!

Yeah I actually took Megabus to chicago for Lolla last year and it was much cheaper and smoother then Greyhound but unfortunately Megabus only goes to Chicago and a few other cities from Columbus so if I do go by bus I will be doing Greyhound again this year. I did it last year and it was not a very fun experience but as long as I get there on time I can live with a bit of discomfort for a few hours.

Yeah Megabus is great, got round trip to Chicago from CBus for 18 bucks last year. Cant beat that, and it was more comfortable then greyhound, plus there was less fear that your going to be randomly stabbed by some drunken homeless guy or something.

ok...I REALLY want to do the Camp infooroo thing BUT I have one concern...

Bummer about having your stuff nicked. There are usually enough people around the Camp to prevent that but what I use is an ActionPacker tinyurl.com/dhekqz tinyurl.com/bd34mn with a simple 3 digit combination lock on it. Probably wouldn't stop someone really determined but certainly enough to discourage casual theft. The actionpackers are also totally weatherproof.
Hi, I've been a lurker for sometime and I guess this is a good time as any to introduce myself. I will indeed be going solo this year. I am volunteering for clean vibes this year and originally planned on meeting people through clean vibes, but unfortunately I'm gonna be working post-fest. I would like to camp at inforoo this year , because even though I plan on doing my own thing most of the time, I imagine being by yourself for 4 days can get pretty lonely. I hope you add me to the list and I look forward to meeting everyone and I hope that we all have a blast!

Semi lurker here, 4th roo, first time going camping only, taking the shuttle in.
So count me in! i hope to get to know a bunch of you better between now and then, but after lurking for several years here im pretty sure camping with you guys would be A-ok! I missed the brunch in 07, but I plan on being there too!
How quickly does tent-only fill up? I've only walked past it and never really got an idea of how big the section is.

The past few years tent only has filled up fast due to a combination of more people knowing about it and it being smaller (it's ~1/4 the size it was in 2004 which I think was the first year they had it). However there is almost always somewhere you can squeeze in if you come later. You don't have to have your tent right in Camp Inforoo to be part of the group, you can always just drag your chairs, coolers, etc over and chill.

You're golden. The 'list' is completely unofficial. Jay and I haven't worked out who's going to maintain it yet so it might now get updated for a bit. The list is really just to get an idea of about how many people we'll have, it is not a list of who's "in" and who's "out". Anyone who wants in is in regardless of whether they're on the list or not. Welcome aboard!
Im thinking Im totally there this year. Its just a matter of convincing the 2 guys Im going with to lug everything to tent only but I think it would be cool to finally put a face with a name for you guys

Just wondering, how many of you are flying and how many are driving in? I think for those of you that are driving and coming in wed should maybe do some kind of Wal-Mart meetup and go in together. I am just thinking how crazy it will be this year to fight off spots.
I think if a group of people come in together will help out with reserving our space and we could use the help setting up the canopies. I will touch on this more as we get closer to roo, but I figure I would throw this out there now.

My family and I will be staying in nashville. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to take the shuttle to Roo on thursday. My parents suggested that I get a good night's rest on Wednesday, seeing as I'm probably not gonna get much sleep over the weekend.

Yeah... I'm probably going solo... so I could probably do the Wal-Mart meet up. And carpooling would help me out too... as I could certainly use the company for the final ride to Roo, as well as someone to help me put my canopy up!
Alright you can officially put me down for Camp Inforoo, I think its going to be a blast. I am def. down for a meetup at Wal mart on Wednesday night and driving in together. My question tho is do you just park your car and take your stuff to camp Inforoo in tent only and not worry about your car all weekend or what? Not sure how that all works but im sure it will be fine. Looking foward to metting all you guys, see you in June.
Edit: Also letting anyone staying in Camp Inforoo coming in on Bus or Plane Wed. night that if you need a ride Ill be happy to help out if possible, just send me a PM if you need a ride.

I think im all by my lonesome for the trip down there, so i think i will join all of you fantastic inforoosters at CIR.
i'll probably only be there in the mornings for the most part, thus i will bring fixin's for morning cocktails. bloody maries? nothing like getting a bit loose on a day's servings of vegetables.
