well - hi there!

Hey all! Put me down for the Thursday wal-mart meet up if you would please. I don't have a cell phone number to give out yet, because I am getting a pre paid once I get into the country. Any ideas on what time in the morning the rest of you are getting to wal-mart?

Hey all, I'm the friend that hymbe2 spoke of. Could you add me to the Thursday morning shuttle crowd? Looking forward to seeing all of you there.

EDIT: If you want to be on the list, please email me the info by Fri (June 5th) evening or Sat morn at the latest. I'll put the list together over the weekend and fire it off on Monday.
WOOHOO!!! Less than 2 wks! I've been off the board for a bit, should be back regular-like until 'roo. Thanks for keeping the list up Jay. With traffic and parking and all I should get to the site around 11-noon Thurs, glancing over the list it looks like some will get in before me but unless something goes really wrong, the famous baby flag should be up noonish. Let's start getting a phone list together (being on the list is completely optional), I don't mind working on it (if someone is already doing it and I missed it, just yell at me), fire an email to me at rooguide {at} gmail {dot} com (replace the at and dot, yada yada...) with;

• your name/board name (or both)
  
• your estimated arrival time in Manchester. I'm looking for generalities here, i.e. about 2pm on Thurs. If you are planning on being part of the WalMart meetup, let me know that as well. If you have no idea when you will arrive but still want to be on the list, that's fine too.
  
• your cell phone #. This is only useful if you will actually HAVE your phone with you on the way to roo and are planning of having it turned on. If you want to give more than 1 number (you and someone you're going with) that's fine too. This # will be shared with the other people on the call list.
  
• anything about your own personal weirdness you want to share, i.e. "I'll be the 7 foot tall, one legged pirate looking guy dressed in a monk's robe smelling like patchouli with Mickey Mouse ears on." This part is optional (but fun)
  

Then I'll put some sort of call list together, hopefully it won't be needed as we'll camp exactly were we planned and everyone will have no problem finding it, but hey... doesn't hurt to plan. Unless you say otherwise, I'll send the phone list to the email address you used to give me the info.

Hey leo, I will camp at CIR. I will probably arrive on the 9am shuttle from the Nashville Airport. I also might get a ride from the airport and therefore be earlier or later, depending on if my ride enters the VIP gate or the main gate, than the shuttle. I'll let you know. Thanks

Hi Inforoosters!
This is my 3rd post and this will be our first roo.
We are going to car camp, but I have every intention of stopping by Camp Inforoo to meet some of you awesome people. We will actually hang like Leo requests

I spent several weeks reading your posts, from informative and helpful (thanks!) to goofy and raunchy (sex thread forever!!!)
I just know that my man and I fit right in with the Bonnaroo family!!!!!
I hope you don't mind me naming names... you guys rock:
Katy Mae, Clairity, Ziggymonkeys, Spookymonster, Boomerang, smurf79, Leo, Jerzee, crazykitten, filthy, southga, idioteque, Moe Train, tara, iskew, sparklybecca, ticktrix, meg, xiphoid.......and many others that I'd really like to meet!

Okay... long story short, we can't wait for roo and it's effing sweet that we can meet up with the cool kids!!! ;D

The plan (so far) is to camp pretty much the same place as last year which is the NE (upper right) corner of "Camp Adrian!" down in tent only (the green part of the map, it's posted in another thread). Head over there, look for the baby flag (my avatar), if you don't see it, wander around yelling "INFOROOOOOO!!!!!" (seriously), also sign up for the phone list (see my post a couple of days ago in this thread) and call or get a call in case everything goes pear shaped.

Ok everyone, if you plan on meeting up at WalMart, either give me a call, which is on the phone list, or try to find me at the back of the WalMart parking lot. I will be in a White Kia and probably sitting outside my car on a chair relaxing until I decide to head into Roo.

Hey guys... lts Maria... of Maria and Rex from Michigan. Unfortunately Rex n l are not married this year in fact we are more on the roommate/friend tip... ouch. Anyhow, l have already let Tara know but thought l should post as well. l am volunteering this year but still plan on camping with all of you wonderful beings. l am in great need of musical healing and can't wait to get on the farm!!! This is kinda a last minute thing for me, so hopefully I can still get in on your camp. Thanks for getting me excited enough to go.

I've sent the phone list out to everyone who signed up, if you didn't get it and think you should have (i.e. sent me an email previous to this morning), contact me ASAP. The list will probably not be used, it really is just in case the CI (Camp Inforoo) gets moved from where we think it will be or if someone gets lost finding it.

So, this is how it should go... There will be a bunch of CI'ers meeting up at Walmart Wed. afternoon/eve (Thur early morn?) and heading into the site early Thurs. They will probably be the first to set up camp (if someone plans on getting in earlier, let me know). I'm not organizing that group and won't be among them, as far as I know Ian is setting that up. The people who are getting in early should try to claim as much ground as possible without being asshats about it. I should be getting to CI around noon on Thurs and I'll set up my famous baby flag (same as my avatar) and the Camp Inforoo Flag to help guide people in. Anyone who gets in before me should go the the general location and start yelling "Inforoo!!!". Seriously, it will be the easiest way to find the others. Alternatively, if you are on the phone list you can use that.

How to find CI
The map we're working off of is 1-2 years old but supposedly should be quite similar to this year's. The plan is to camp in the NE (on the map upper left right) corner of Camp Adrian!. If the map has changed, go to the NE corner of the east most tent only camp. If things really go to hell and the map is completely borked, look for me (I'm the guy wearing a Hawaiian shirt) at the right side of the Bonnaroo arch (going into to Centeroo) at 4 and 7 pm Thursday and again at 10 am Friday (I'll only be there if things go bad). Also look for signs labeled "Inforoo" that we'll try to put up on/near the arch or where we thought we'd be camping.

Once you get there
When you get to CI, don't think that you need to set up your tent right in the middle next to the flagpole. CI'er will be set up all around the area. I actually set up a bit away so that when I want to crash I have a bit of peace and quiet. Please feel free to drag your chairs, coolers, tables, whatever over. What we'll try to do is set up some sunscreens next to each other to make a nice shady area. I think last year we only had 2 sunscreens so please bring those to the party. Other things we always need are tables and chairs.

CI belongs to EVERYONE! Even if you joined the board yesterday and aren't camping there you have just as much right to hang out as I do who started this whole CI thing 5 years ago (probably more, you'll have stories that everyone hasn't heard 5 times before). Drop by on your way in/out of Centeroo, even if no one is there, grab a seat and take a load off. If you come by and someone seems to be less than totally friendly, don't take it personally. Maybe she/he just hauled all their gear over and are exhausted, maybe they have been up for 32 hours and can't think straight, maybe they are just really shy, maybe they are trying to figure out why your face is melting, maybe it's me with my ADD and I don't realize we haven't been introduced yet.

There are a group of Inforooers who have been at CI for years and sometimes it can seem to be a bit of a clique, this might be the appearance but isn't the reality. Yeah, I've known Jay and Kitten and Teine and Crystal and Tara and everyone else forever but I want to meet the people I don't know just much. Make yourself at home. We don't mind drinkin', cussin', smokin', trippin', poetry readin' or philosophizin', we're all borrowing the turf, as long as you're respectful of the person next to you, you're family.

OK, end of lecture. I'll be on the thread until 'roo, but this should be considered the reference post as far as camp location and related issues go. Should things change I'll make sure to update this post as well as adding a new one.
