I'm 36 and hope to be there for my 3rd 'roo. Glad there are some others who have also had some highschool and college reunions under their belts. Bring money for showers! I'm too old to stay filthy.
And I don't think there is a card check much less anyone here doing math 'Cept beer math...
Welcome!
You youngsters and your new-fangleyed telly-phones!
I got rid of my cell phone over a year ago. I love it. I think anyway, cell phones will be passe soon and everyone will just have some sort of tablet. cr****
For some reason this made me smile. As someone who meets the criteria to post in this thread I collected ALLOT of war stories being alive for a few decades and all! I look forward to swapping 'em on the farm!

IMHO, they should make a 50+ thread. You young'ins here have a lot to learn.
You all would never remember where it is. A thread to complain that back in your day it was a #2 pencil and Big Chief tablets, and it will be 50 pages long

Edit for spelling
Well you can say that to some but isn't that better then at the Roo running out of power/batteries on your Kindle and ya can't read or write at all. cr****

44 and 43 headed to our first Bonnaroo with our 3 kids in tow..19,17,and 13.. couldn't be more excited!!
Cool! You will have a blast. We are 42 & 47, bringing our 19 and 10 year old back for their second (they were 14 & 5 at their first Roo). Don't listen to the haters saying you're crazy to bring kids. They both loved it and could not wait to get back this year.

This will be my third year on the farm. Last year I took my 11 year old son and he had a freakin blast! His favorite was the Alice Cooper show. (I'm so proud of my boy lol). We camped in family camping and it was great. This year I am bringing my fiancée and we will be doing the F.C. Thing again this year.
Ok...I just had to tell of this by chance meeting I had about 30 minutes ago..I'm out in the yard cleaning the RV and my husband is having a yard sale, along comes a young couple (30ish) looking at our pop-ups and tents we have for sale and asked if the RV is for sale, my husband says no, and tells them we're getting ready to go to Bonnaroo....and they said they are as well...first time.. they have been hired to work access security this year...Both are clearly excited as we explain the amazing time we have and hopefully they will as well,.. so..I tell them we will be parked near the clock tower...Clock Tower? they ask, I said yeah near the Ferris wheel...Ferris Wheel? they ask...ok..so with that being said the couple is getting into their car and the young lady shouts out...SO WHO DO I ASK FOR??? I said, ask for what....she says ...you know when we get to Bonnaroo, who should we ask for so we can come and visit you while we're there.....At that point I lost it..I told her, young lady my name is Renee, but it won't do you any good knowing that,...Puzzlement look, major across her face, Has no one told you about Bonnaroo? No ...well you are about to meet 100,000 of your best friends...I kid you not..she lipped the words 100,000 to her friend, looked back at me and her eyes had fear, non-belief, surprise...a real deer in the headlight moment...and then I just busted into extreme laughter....how do you not know about Bonnaroo? Oh boy..here we go

Awesome! Look for us. We should be arriving in the wee hours of Thursday morning and will be in a red tent next to a flag pole with a red & white St George's flag and a green Erin Go Braugh flag.

Will do! I'm arriving Wednesday afternoon. We will have a beige ez-up with a Yankees flag attached. Or Thursday morning just follow your nose to the brewing coffee and you will find us. (My best camping purchase is def my Coleman propane powered coffee maker!)
I will be ariving on Wed. This is my first Roo at 67. I will be have with me a friend, number 8 th child of my 13 and 2 Zimriders. They say you can not get in untill 8 pm. When to people start to line up? How do they set you up for RV parking? I though it was first come firsy served. It sounds like you can pick a site.
We will also be in family camping. We spent the afternoon setting up a mock Bonnaroo in the backyard. There is a chance of rain here tomorrow- so we made a little tarp fortress. I'm sure our neighbors think we are wackos, but I want to see if we can keep the rain out.
I am enjoying the final month of my 30s by bringing my 18 year old, newly graduated son with me for our first 'Roo. We are incredibly excited, trying to make sure we don't forget to bring anything, and planning to make the most of the event, as I doubt I'll get back to it. Still not sure how he convinced my wife to let us go!

I'm now bringing my oldest buddy - we go back to the seventh grade - and he's 41, like me. He said he wasn't a big fan of large crowds, and I told him to get that thought out of his head before he steps on the farm. Bonnaroo, like life, is what you make of it - with a much better soundtrack and more friendly people, for the most part. I hope you first timers have a blast, and I believe you will!

This is my our 5th year at Bonnaroo...I am 47 and my husband is 48. Our first year (2009) was with our son and last year was with our daughter. They had their own camping areas and joined us throughout the day for "home cooked" meals and a little down time. We caught a few concerts together. My profile pic shows us with our daughter last year before Radiohead. We made some good memories!
