Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Im 35 and new to inforoo but certainly not new to bonnaroo (08,09,10,11). As the years pass I seem to really connect more with the peace and connectivity that festivals bring and less to the magical powders. In fact the smaller festivals seem more attractive to me than some of the bigger ones but i will always be a rooer. With all that being said I never forget that your body is a temple but its also a disco!
53 here. First Roo. Just figured out how fun this music fest stuff is last year. Heading in with a girlfriend about my age. Tend to be shy but working hard to BE ME and meet new folks in TN in a few weeks!!

So many great things about Bonnaroo, one of the best is that you get to be totally yourself. If your in the shy side; cool. You and your friend will both have a experience that will change you, in subtle but unmistakable ways. Sunscreen, water, and a controlled interest in trying new things is a good place to start mentally. This weekend is a commitment, slow and steady is a nice speed, you and your girl will be amazed you did not do this earlier.
This will be my first Bonnaroo as an (apparently) Old Hippie. That's ok, I party harder now than I did at the first one!!
Me <- apparently old hippie too. But I was just chatting with an 111 year old who asked me how old I was, and replied "Psshaw. You're YOUNG!" I'm aiming for 100!

My friend and I went to Interlocken last year (just 30,000 I believe) and we're hooked! PS - not my "girl" - just a friend that's female! (c: She never camped before last year, and I'm the one finally getting into new music. Very excited to experience Bonnaroo!

It is pretty fucking exciting. For those of us obsessive types who count down the days until the next one, it makes me almost giddy that we're in the teens.
I'm 54 and this is my 9th Roo. It's the highlight of my year. Nothing else comes particularly close.

I'm also in the official countdown stage, and I have a growing camp pile next to the stairs. ...
I just turned 40 a couple of weeks ago and this will be my 8th straight Bonnaroo and I'm going completely solo. I honestly can't imagine not going and think I would probably get very depressed if I didn't go. That place and the music has brought me so much joy and wonderful memories over the years and I can't imagine not having experienced it. So many bands I have "discovered" at Bonnaroo are now my favorites and when listening to them they bring back memories. I'm not necessarily a hippie, actually I'm a hard core fiscal conservative, have to wear a suit often and attend cocktail parties, have a family and live in the suburbs, but my time at Bonnaroo is an escape from reality, an escape from constant emails and phone calls and just pure enjoyment. I may not be the most hip on new music, but thankfully I Bonnaroo to introduce to them.
Holy cow. I wasn't too interested in seeing Lionel Richie until I heard, "I'm Easy (Like Sunday Mornings)" today. Whoa. I will grab the nearest male for a slow dance if he sings that.
I turn 35 in two weeks and will need to join this thread. I made a lot of "older" friends this past weekend and wish I would have gotten down their contact info to keep up with their music journeys.

I'm 35 and I feel like an old hippy still listening to the dead and Hendrix and whatnot. The youth of today have no idea what they are missing out on, I kinda feel bad for em.
It it sure is easy to feel like an old hippy at 35 at bonnaroo.
