Ok, so since I've had a couple problems with this, I have to make an announcement.
Do not make your poster in a word document, please. Copying and pasting from word will not make it look the same, and I can't attach the file to the thread. I asked for pictures only, and that was for a reason.

Yeah, as long as it's in by the end of the day. I mean, I'm not on a power trip or anything, if you aren't finished, get it to me ASAP. We'll just start with those that who are finished.

A tip for Mac people who want to send a word file. It won't make your poster look like anything other than a word file, but it'll get it into the format you need:
Step 1: Save your file as a PDF (go to Print and then click on PDF from the menu)

I always get the feeling there are more anon around here than one would usually expect.

Definitely, i've got exams coming up, i'll never study
Ok, I just want to get it done before roo. I think I'll adopt the same system from coachella's thing. They've been a big help, haha. So to clarify you would like the deadline to submit a poster moved earlier or later? I'm all for both. It just seems that the majority of people already have their lineup set and just need to do their poster, and figure out their set times in case they make it to the second round.
"I want to be fair as possible to all posters, so I think I'm just gonna draw seeds randomly. Each fest will be randomly chosen to a number of 1-whatever we end up with. Festivals that get the last twelve will compete in the 6 wild card rounds. I think that's just the fairest way to go about it."
"Also, here's how I'm thinking voting should work.
Wild card: 2 days Top 32: 2 days Sweet 16: 2 days - when set times start Elite 8: 3 days final 4: 3 or 4 days championship: 4-5 days "
I totally figured this wrong. Since we have less people than Coachella did, we don't even need to have a wild card. I'm just gonna throw everyone that I have recieved so far on today and they'll go for two day. Not sure what I should do with late submissions. Any suggestions? Cause we're still missing like 10-15 people.

Sounds good.
Although I'm not sure what to do about the people that haven't sent them in. How many do we currently have right now?

Maybe just post them all tonight like you planned too, and give the first round voting is due. If they're not in by then, then so be it. But even if we get a few more, it'll be good for the contest.
I think we should still do a wildcard round. I've seen some match-ups where both fests are very solid, and I would like either one to have a shot at the finals.

How would we do this, then? This is my first time doing something like this haha. I kinda like the brackets idea.
yeah, nobody had phish, springsteen, and i don't think i saw nin or beasties. i guess most people didn't want to steal bands from a festival we're all going to, at a risk of looking unoriginal.

Here's my idea:
After this round, we're going to have seven fests left over - which, being an odd number, makes it harder to pair them up into matches.
I was thinking we'd take the four fests that lost by the closest margin and pit them against each other in two separate rounds. Then those two winners would go up against each other to determine the final wildcard winner. That wildcard would then go up against one of the seven winners, giving us a total of eight - which is a much simpler number to work with when it comes to brackets.
Perhaps I'm not explaining this very well. Let's say we closed voting right now. The final tally would be:
Exosphere (13 votes, 34.2%) vs. Great Lake (25 votes, 65.7%)(difference = 12 votes, 31.5%)
Island in the Sky (22 votes, 62.8%) vs. Hochelaga (13 votes, 37.1%) (difference = 9 votes, 25.7%)
Shadowlands (18 votes, 51.4%) vs. Rust Belt (17 votes, 48.5%) (difference = 1 vote, 2.9%)
Monarch (14 votes, 43.7%) vs. Kamp Krusty (18 votes, 56.2%)(difference = 4 votes, 12.5%)
We would take the four that lost by the smallest percentage difference (Rust Belt, Monarch, Custie Fest, and Hochelaga) and then put them up against each other, in two separate rounds. Let's say we did Rust Belt vs. Custie Fest and Monarch vs. Hochelaga. The winner of Rust Belt vs. Custie Fest would then face the winner of Monarch vs. Hochelaga. Then the winner of that round would get the eighth slot in the regular competition.
Make sense?
