Out of the mentions in the topic so far, the only one I would want to see is Fleetwood Mac. Gaga, pass. Bjork, never got into. Aretha, that's already been discussed. Portishead, late night Which.
Bjork, for headlining act, but I'd sure love a Fiona Apple set, maybe Laurie Anderson as preheadliners. Patti Smith lagenight tent, anyone?
Other ladies I'd like to see are Dolly Parton as one of the biggest (budumch!) country legends we'd have, Aretha Franklin, Shelby Lynne, Sharon Jones, and Grace Potter.
Now, dig one of these two as a late night Which set : Sade or Portishead.
Erykah Badu was ninth on the lineup in 2009. It's hard to picture Sade going higher on a lineup than Erykah Badu. I don't think Sade would headline.
you don't understand how big sade is. she only plays arenas, goes away for 10 years, comes back with another number one album and still plays arenas. although she hasn't done a tour for this album yet. erykah badu would be an opener for sade.
I'll trust you on that since I don't know too much about Sade and I may indeed be too young to understand how big she is.
i didn't realize how big she was till this year. i read something about sade being the first since zeppelin to have their first 6 albums go to number one. she's only done 3 albums the last 18 years, but every time she does it's a huge hit.
Also, no way GaGa plays 'Roo. They've had pop before, but never that bad. Besides, there are so many more female artists who are way more talented, some of whom GaGa even rips off (Goldfrapp anyone?)
