Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I have no plans to leave Hunter, LD. But we'll talk and meet up there. My phone will be off most of the time, but I will turn it on here and there, so don't text me a "Let's meet now" message, but rather, "let's meet up at this place for this show in 3 hours" type message.
I am at work and my car is stuffed to the brim with everything! I will be leaving directly from here at 1!!! ;D ;D

I was thinking having a little get together around Noon Saturday for a couple hours. Pick y'all up at Hunter, come back, pizza and a couple beers, go back and see shows after. If it sounds interesting, cool. If no, oh well.

I'll talk to my friend and let you know, but like I said, I wasn't planning on leaving.

So, I finally got up here a little before 6 this afternoon. Gary Clark is solid, def need to see him more this summer. The Roots and Sheepdogs were good. Mule is always Mule - but I left a little before 11 cause I got tired and its raining up here.
Probably gonna do a bit more exploring with the lineup tomorrow. Or rest up so I can last the entire second Mule set for once. Damn work scheduled got me programmed to be in bed by midnight.
Matt Schofield earlier is a good blues band. Uncle Lucius (sp.?) wasn't bad. The Word is nice instrumental band and Robert Randolph works a crowd, check that off for one less conflict at Roo... maybe y'all can see them there instead. Left after about seven minutes at The Givers, no thanks. Skipped Folds Five, never really liked him.
Colonels Hall has been my hide out much of the weekend.
When it wasn't raining, the weather is alright. Sun not beating on ya, cool temps, pretty comfortable with a light jacket and sweatshirt.
Can I make it to the end of the Ramble set without falling asleep?

That would be the reporter in me. I was doing it for six years.
Well, the Levon set started like 1115. Up On Cripple Creek got played pretty early. I vaguely remember one other song, dunno what its called but remembered hearing it before.
If there were any good covers in the first set, I could not recognize it. Long jams, yep. Not much for special guest appearances, I guess all the good stuff was being saved for this set.
And I might have slept through half of it already. This sucks...
Today's schedule looks a bit like: Simone Felice (on ITM's recommend) Pedrito Martinez (LN at Roo, early afternoon here???) Trombone Shorty Connor Kennedy Tedeschi Trucks Dawes or The Brew break during Franti/Spearhead Winwood
I really need to stop falling asleep at shows around 11 pm. Just this year it's Mule twice, Shpongle, moe., and 1-2 others.
Simone Felice ended after a half hour, there is still 10 min left to Pedrito Martinez. What a way to gauge anything... its like I got there and its already done.
Its starting to get pretty gray to the west of here. I know it is supposed to rain later, but I was hoping it would hold til later on when there was nothing I wanted to see (outside).
Security here is strange. People get full bag searches strict while ignoring the five people running past the checkpoint. Ah well, I'll run - I got beer cans on me.
I just felt a couple raindrops... quack, and I'm in a good spot near the front of the chairs section by West Stage.
It rained a bit during Martinez, stopped for about 15 minutes, then another shower came through.
Just waited for Connor Kennedy in the Colonel's Hall. Kid is like 17 or 18 but sounds good with the guitar. Got good people supporting him too in the band, veterans of rock and blues rock.
Read about him yesterday in the info booklet, decided to see it over Carolina Choc Drops. I recommend a listen if you can find anything.
The last time I tried to see Tedeschi Trucks, it was Vibes last year when Bridgeport hit the highest temp ever recorded at 103. Woulda loved to seen them, but that is outrageous.
The rain is holding off right now and here I am on the mountain. Midnight In Harlem is playing, I just really like this song and this band. Sounds good.
If its dry, I'll stay out for Dawes. If it rains again, back to the Hall for The Brew. Not like Dawes isn't everywhere this summer.
I had an amaaaazing weekend. VIP was definitely the way to go (thanks for the rec, Bacon!). I could not have asked for cooler neighbors and the VIP perks were totally worth the extra money. It rained a lot this weekend and when it wasn't raining, it was overcast and cold, but I worked with it. I ended up leaving early and am already home. I skipped Dawes and Winwood. Oh well. I need to preserve energy and get some sleep before I leave for Roo on Tuesday!
I didn't like Givers or Pedrito Martinez. They both bored me a bit. I loved The Word, The Lee Boys, Trombone Shorty, The Roots and Sister Sparrow. They all ROCKED IT. ITM, I saw listened to Simone Felice from VIP, but didn't pay too close attention because it was raining at the time. He was good, though.

I wish I saw more of Felice to be honest. Didn't get enough to give up or down.
Though Givers was quick to be a down
Dawes was decent. Winwood is awesome like always. I saw part of Franti and Spearhead, seems to be the same every time... but Warren came out for one song.
And Tedeschi Trucks were amazing.
Edit 938p: and now Winwood is covering The Weight. One last Levon tribute...
