I'm part of a Auction thing on Facebook and just lost out on an amaaaaaazing amount of tulle it made me sad. But now I'll have to actually take the time to look around online. In Canada we have Michaels, and Fabricland. I cannot find neon tulle at either place which bums me out. I've been looking on Kijiji and have found a few leads. Last year I made my group 6 tutus while rushing around and in varying states of sobriety. I'm going to start early this year and take my time.
I'm wicked happy this got bumped. Here's a pic of a few of us last year......as you can see, far from perfect tutus. They were also crammed all together in a garbage bag for the 14 hour drive down. This year I resolve to be more patient and consistent....and also NEVER to use that harder, stiffer (lol)
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

Love them! You guys look adorable! I've already started on my first Tu, mostly done the knotting.. just gotta decorate! But I have many more to make before Roo gets here!

Awww ladies. Thanks My friend made me that tube top years ago and Roo seems the perfect spot to wear it! For this year I think I'm going for a Batman or Star Wars theme.

I'd try to help, but I don't even know what any of that^ means. Crazy themed tus are totally up Attitudes Tutus alley, though (fawnmartTLC).
What an exciiiiting bump! And a good reminder for me to get going. I need to decide on my Wanee character and create a tu for that, I want to do a costume for Friday 13th and will probably need a tu for that... Due to the upcoming nuptials, I might be wearing my sunflower inspired tutu to brunch again so I'll probably be good there. And as I mentioned in the GFT, my panda tu needs a face lift... I really need to get going!

I love these ideas but I am scared of wearing a tutu into a porta-potty... I feel like I would screw that up... any tips?
Take it off outside the potties. I wear shorts underneath and just step out of the tutu and let my friend hold it I don't think I would want to wear one in there......

I think I did that one time and realized it wasn't going to work (especially while drinking!).
Ah gotcha I wondered if taking it off would be needed... my roo partner is a forever pee-er ha so I may develop a system of removing while walking up then temp stuffing in my bag and putting it back on while I wait for her.

I wear a short one so I've never had an issue with mine. I try not to take it off bc I hook up LEDs to it and it's a pain to re arrange when I take it off. But just wear leggings underneath and pull my tutu up just under my boobs. However, I've also done the "buddy system" when I'm sans LEDs and just have a friend hold it. I don't think it really gets in the way at all.
I have a replica of my original 2012 Rootu hanging on the wall over my desk at home! I'm definitely doing another set of Tus for myself and companions this year. I'm thinking shades of blue and violet for myself, oranges and pinks for K, and yellows and greens for S. I gotta get down to Hobby Lobby and check out their spool collection again!

I do both methods of portoing. I do the friend route, but I do simply lift it more often than not. Mine is quite big and poofy, but the strands are long enough that I can tuck the back side under my arms. All tulle is safely away from walls and other surfaces.

I went through a tutu making phase last year. It resulted in like 4 new tutus for me. One of which was a mini mouse one for Halloween. It was adorable and sparkley.
I decided I want to wear a tutu this year! I started making one for a friend who was supposed to be going too and now she can't go. So I have an extra one... Yellow with blue and sparkly green. If no one else goes with us that wants to wear it, I guess I'll just find someone there to give it to??
